Jason frowned, shaking his head lightly. If he was going to be honest with himself, most of this was beyond him. It didn't really make sense to him, especially when all official statements claimed something about a virus or genetics or whatever that junk was was the source of the Parahuman abilities.

But he did recognize and understand that Broker was dangerous. Very dangerous. Directly controlling the source of their abilities, playing with effects as he pleased.... Disabling brains by his own admission.

There was some conflict brewing between the others, and Jason's initial instinct was to step into it before he remembered he still had a hand on Sofia. Idly he considered his options before deciding to stay with the girl. Watching herself die and then be told to remove the body? Unless she was truly an emotionless robot, he didn't want to imagine how she might be fairing beneath surface.

The possible argument.... Jason didn't want to get involved in it exactly. The girl had seemed.... Suicidal? Definitely pissed, but the way she threw herself into things suddenly.... It didn't sit right with him.

"Equipment. Can we request new equipment." he spoke up in regards to Broker's final question, attempting to distract himself from his thoughts.

Lillian sat - well, laid with her back propped up - in a surprisingly comfy bed thingy with her eyes looking unfocused at the ceiling. Her side had stitches, her leg had lots of stuff, and the medical people had said something about a 'possibly severe concussion', whatever that meant. There was something about blood and scans and honestly she didn't know what most of this stuff was.

Why did she have to keep being in these confusing, complicated, scary situations? She just wanted to be curled up somewhere warm and safe, like that time she'd fallen asleep in Alessa's room.

Her cheeks flared red at the thought, calling forth a confused batch of emotions she didn't really understand.

She really did need these mandatory therapy sessions, didn't she?

"Lily! Are you okay?!"

She looked up - well, more like down - at the exclamation.

"Oh, shi - uhhh, what are you doing here Mom?"

"They called me. What the hell happened to you?"

"Uh.... Bad guys?" she replied cautiously.

"Where's that director? I'm going to - "

"Mom, don't. Stop. Okay? It's not their fault. I- I had a relapse during a mission that got complicated. I messed up and got hurt and it's just been so emotional and I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." Lillian broke down into a jumbled of sobs and apologies, curling into her mother's arms as the woman sat down beside her.

"Oh, luv, why are you apologising?"

"I promised I'd be better..."

"Shhh.... It's okay, Lil, calm down..."

With her mother's soothing voice and all the events of the day, it wasn't long before Lillian found release in the endless abyss of sleep in her mother's arms.

Caesar watched with interest as Slick was subdued before Feya got to him.

All in all it was... Interesting, with these other pirates. They seemed jovial enough, even if they were a little odd in some aspects.

But, well, looking at his own crew mates he couldn't deny that they weren't a little odd themselves. Okay, perhaps more than a little.

With these thoughts swirling around in his head, Caesar took his first bite and....

"Holy...." That was easily the greatest thing he had ever tasted. Even better than bones! "Can I get some of this to take?"

Looking up at the... Well, actually, Caesar didn't know what kind of animal that was. Was it a Mink? Like him?

"Jo, are you a Mink like me? I've never met another."
You can count me in, as expected. :3
As I mentioned previously, count me tentatively in. :3

Artificer looked at Floris like he was seeing him for the first time, and like he was looking at an idiot at the same time. He shook his head slowly.

"To go? To go? I have everywhere to go, but I can't go anywhere and I can't stay here. You need to leave." he said with a certain kind of determination in his eyes. He grabbed the mostly intact neck of the vase and the wire and turned face and began walking away. "I don't know who sent you, but you and them can just leave me alone. I don't want any part of any of it anymore."

Anya stepped back quickly, a thoroughly shocked expression on her face at the sudden outburst. It had been obvious how unstable he seemed, but she hadn't expected...that kind of reaction. As one of the other women, Liv she thought the same was, began trying to comfort him from a distance Anya backed up more, moving towards her original position at the table.

"Eck, that was an amazing way to introduce myself..." she muttered, picking up a knife from the table. "I guess I'll test the food for being blatantly poisoned or something, then."

Surprising the food tasted great, especially considering she hadn't seen any other humans around besides this room full of.... Amnesiacs and weirdoes.

Caesar laughed as the ship reached the end of Reverse Mountain, and missed the beginning exchanges between them and the other ship.

But Dirk was heading over now that they had dropped anchor, and Caesar moved to follow him as he -

"Dirk, you blasted fool!" he growled, pulling him off the railing and slinging him over his shoulder. "There's a boarding thingy. You don't have to... Do whatever you were thinking."

He walked across to the other ship, setting Dirk down once they reached the other side with a soft pat on his shoulder.

Bonekid was already asking questions to the captain. Mystery Hands Shooty Guy. Shooty McShootyhands, maybe.

Caesar looked around before he roused his confusion.

"Has anyone seen Slick?"
@Miakoda

Artificer looked around with a frown on his face. "Doing? I should ask you that. Get out of my hou.... Oh." he looked up at the sky above them in confusion. "You shouldn't listen in on people. Or follow them. Or... Whatever this is. I don't have any money. Go away."

He idly fingered a set of beads around his neck before grabbing some copper wire buried under a trash bag. "This will do. Yeah. Why not. Why are you here? Can't I just be left alone..."

Ahhhh, so this was the others? She rolled her eyes at the looks towards her feet, letting get chair slam down into the ground as the chatter died for a moment with the last appearance. The straggler.

"Anya," she announced as stood up, plucking a roll from center of the table. "You all seem confused about why you're here. Don't blame you. I am as well, I guess. Three beautiful women and two lovely men."

She stopped near the poor nervous wreck, smirking lightly, gently laying a hand on his shoulder and ruffling his hair lightly. "Would you like to share your name, lovelies? So we can finish not being strangers?"

The return trip had been.... Enjoyable. Honestly, it had been great to just Superman his way back to the base with the two Sofia's. And he'd managed to remember which was which!

Speaking of, he was slightly relieved that Chatterbox had ripped his own clothes to separate him and CopyBox.

Broker was.... Difficult to read. Jason wasn't entirely sure if the man was disappointed or bored or... What exactly. Executing the two clones, however, was surprising.

He brought his hand to sit on Sofia's head, worried how she might take seeing herself die like that. Chatterbox... Well, he was a cold cut fuck type, so Jason didn't feel like he needed to worry about him in this circumstance.

"Heartless, give him the box." he broke the silence that followed Broker's last sentence, his voice steady as he stared at boss. "Why kill the second? Him, I get him. I don't get her. Nor do I get how you knew any of that. Nor am I sure what to do with the bodies. I'd like these unknowns to stop being unknowns, Bossman. This don't look good."

Lillian squeezed Alessa's hand, hard, as the older girl tried to place blame on herself, but remained quiet.

The rest... They weren't doing well. And Ira wanted Decoy to pull her out? What... What on Earth did that even mean?

The Director seemed like a balloon filled with cardboard. No more air, but it still had the shape? Did that make sense?

Margrave forgot a teammate, which was sad. But he was evil? She wasn't very sure what to think about all that.

And Evelyn... It was. No. That didn't make sense.

Her heart beat increased as she thought about it, the collision of that thing, and she put her head into her free hand. She hurt. Her head hurt. Her heart hurt a little, actually. She didn't mean for that to happen. Lillian knew that.

But she also knew she was scared. She flinched slightly as she thought she saw something like the projection. No, most be a trick of her eyes. The light as the Director moved. Sat?

She didn't know what to do. There were so many conflicting emotions and thoughts and....

Take a chance.

No, she couldn't. She couldn't just let go. Could she?

The room was quiet for a moment. Lillian rose unsteadily. She wanted to leave but she didn't. She didn't know where to go. Not home. Not yet. Not like this.

She looked back at Alessa and.... She let go. Her face was scrunched up and it hurt. The tears hurt. Everything hurt. She was done with all the hurt.

"Don't." she said to Alessa, her voice shaking. "Don't you dare blame yourself. Don't. You're everything.... Everything I should be." the words after the pause seemed somewhat forced? Almost as if they weren't the original words. "We.. We'll heal. But don't you dare lie and say you're anything less than you are. None of you." again, the final sentence seemed to be added onto the original thought.

She moved towards the door slowly, stopping in the doorway. "I'm going to the medical area now. I'd like... Maybe soon... If you guys wanted to stop by...." she left it hanging as she left the room.
