Okay.. maybe I panic a little when nobody's posted for 10 hours. I have no life outside the internet.

I don't know how much caffeine I've just injested and I'm pretty sure it was all a mistake.

Location - Back of the truck, somewhere in the woods

For all Ciel was aware, people were dropping like flies. The bitten just straight up murdered the other kid, which made Ciel think she might be close to turning. The man with the missing leg wasn't looking too good. He still hadn't woken up, at the very least. If he died, that would mean that Ciel would be the only one of the initial patients of Franklin to survive the trip. That is, if Ciel didn't die first.

He knew he was in no condition to run. Even in the best case scenario he'd only make it a few feet before getting overrun by walkers or simply passing out and starving to death alone in the woods. He decide his best option, if Astrid was to turn soon, would be to climb up onto the roof of the truck. He'd escaped walkers by climbing before. The ones he'd seen seemed to have a bit of difficulty with complex motor skills.

He stayed upright and as alert as he could force himself to be. Only a few of them were left, and he wasn't about to give up. He wasn't exactly afraid of death, but he certainly didn't want to just yet.
If Ciel dies I'm gonna develop premature apoplexy.
This sounds great! I love this idea.

So what are the limits of the Fantasy setting, and are there age limits on characters?

Ciel flinched, gasping sharply as the truck came screeching to sudden halt. The woman with the bitten shoulder steadied him just in time for him to see the woman on the motorcycle go flying over the car and hit the ground with a sickening crack. She was dead, no doubt. Ciel turned pale, his eyes widening, but there was no point in grieving a stranger. Besides, next to him in the truck a blanket had been pulled over the man with the impaled leg. She wasn't the first to die. Hopefully, however, she would be the last.

The bitten woman then went to getting Ciel on IV. The fluid entering his bloodstream increased his level of alertness, but unfortunately did little to ease the pain in his abdomen and throat. However, staying hydrated would greatly increase his chances of surviving this trip. He kept looking around at the others in the truck, seeing that only one had died so far. The man with only one leg and the boy whose leg was broken still seemed to be alive. If anything, Ciel was more bored than scared now. Seeing the last two fatalities reminded him that he'd been on the brink of death for almost three years now, and had gotten surprisingly stoic about it. He didn't want to die, by any means, but there was no use in complaining.

He sat up straighter, looking out over the side of the truck. Why had they stopped? They couldn't have reached their destination already. They were still on the road. Worry began to set back into his system, but he quickly forced it down. He intended to survive, and getting frightened wouldn't do him any good in that regard. He silently continued to watch, hoping that the bitten woman was still a long ways off from turning. The last thing they needed was a walker in the truck. He'd die for sure if that happened.
@Lady Amalthea I asked only rhetorically.

This was not a good interruption to my school day.

Ciel was still curled up shivering in the back of the truck, the left side of his face and part of his hair splattered with vomit. He breathed in shaky gasps of air, occasionally emitting a raspy cough that sounded like it hurt. He'd been conscious for the last five minutes or so, and his vision was starting to come back. However, he was still far too weak to move around much. Looking around the truck, he noticed that Ray was now lying limp. ...He's probably dead. Thought the eleven year old, feeling lucky that he wasn't dead himself.

With great effort, he managed to prop himself up on his elbow and clean off his face with his sleeve. This gave him a better view of the scenery. Mostly just a bunch of walkers, some of whom were now on fire. Oy vey... He thought to himself, unable to speak due to the dryness in his throat and the intense burning sensation it carried with it. The walkers caused Ciel some anxiety, to say the least. His chances of making it were already slim. If walkers got into the truck, he'd have no chance of fighting them off. Besides, he had no idea where his rifle had ended up. Or his inhaler, for that matter. The latter item might be more urgently needed. Since he'd showed up to Franklin with a far more dire medical emergency, he hadn't told anyone about his asthma....

Nevertheless, there was nothing to be done about that now. He was surprised that he even had the energy to sit up. He kept his eyes on the inside of the truck, watching one of the women comforting the boy with the broken leg, and the amputated man lying cold and languid. Another man, also with an injured leg, and a woman whose shoulder had been bitten had joined the people in the back of the truck. This wasn't a good place to die. Surrounded by walkers and injured people, the scent of sickness and death lingering in the air. He was only eleven years old. He couldn't die now. He'd never even had a chance to be useful to anyone. Dying a liability was possibly one of the things he feared the most, after heights and spiders and being restrained. Ciel forced his eyes shut, taking a deep, shuddering breath in a futile attempt to calm his nerves. He'd never get through this if he wasted his energy panicking.
Ehh... it seems this has kinda derailed.
