I'm honestly sick of updating this. This will probably be ny status for the next four months.

So apparently I have an ear infection as well as some other kind of nasty virus. Fantastic.

Okay.. maybe I panic a little when nobody's posted for 10 hours. I have no life outside the internet.

I don't know how much caffeine I've just injested and I'm pretty sure it was all a mistake.

I'm still here, if that matters at all.

Ciel flinched a bit as Raymond made direct eye contact with him and offered a warm smile, though the kid did eventually smile back hesitantly. He'd grown a bit unused to these sorts of normal interactions, in the long time he'd been mostly on his own. He'd been shy and isolated to begin with, mostly the fault of his late overprotective parents. The sudden chaotic situation only succeeded in further stunting his social skills. If he'd been older and more developed at the time of the apocalypse, he probably wouldn't have been this heavily affected. He'd taken on a stoic attitude to the prospect of death, but simple things seemed to make him paranoid.

But aside from that, he seemed to be doing okay. A little nauseous, and still with a dry throat, but most of the pain had subsided. It would be a while before he was eating normally, but at least he wasn't really suffering that much anymore. He curled his knees up to his chest, watching as other people started to approach the scene. He figured they were probably from Newnan, here to give them a helping hand. However, the possibility that they were raiders masquerading as aids was still out there, and so he pushed himself further into the back of the truck and stayed in his crumpled fetal position, thinking that in the worst case scenario, he would play dead and hope they didn't have the sense to check.
Again, I'm not really sure where to start. If this block continues, I may have to drop...
I'm 13 myself, so I usually don't feel that comfortable writing characters over 15, 16 at the very oldest.
So the prevalence of 18+ RPs really limits my options.

Ciel was feeling almost half okay at this point. Not great by a long shot, but definitely several steps up from where he was before. If everything went alright and he didn't get killed by the soon-to-be-walker, he'd almost certainly get to see the end of this awful trip. They were still stopped; probably someone from Newnan would be showing up shortly to bail them out. Hopefully before things got any worse.

The eleven year old stayed sitting in the back of the truck, though he felt like he could probably move if he had to. He almost wished he'd brought a book or something to draw with. Well, he had, but he presumed his pack got left in the infirmary back in Franklin and he definitely didn't plan to go back for it. That would just be needlessly endangering his life, which was already slightly in danger to say the least. Children were usually among the first to die in situations like these, and he was smart enough to know that he was lucky to have made it this long. Now, if only he could keep up his winning streak, he had a solid chance of making it through this.
Well, at least its only one this time. Unless my crappy reading comprehension skills have gotten the better of me again.

Linus scurried out of the bathroom as soon as his uncle gave him an excuse to leave. He ran downstairs to the kitchen and started hurriedly setting enough places at the table to accommodate everyone. The morning was already off to a bad start, but he was going to do all he could to salvage it. Namely not bothering Forrest any more. Really, the 17 year old scared the crap out of Linus. He didn't even remember why he came into the bathroom, anyway...

Still feeling nervous and a bit sick, he finished up setting the table and dashed out of the kitchen so he wouldn't be in the same room as Forrest anymore. Once he was out in the living room, he had remembered what he wanted with the bathroom, and tried to carefully sneak upstairs to go back and use it, hoping Forrest would stay in the kitchen at least until breakfast.

"What makes you think I'll believe anything you say?" Linus snarled, reluctantly climbing into the car.
For all I know, you're just trying to get me to follow you so you can tear me apart and leave me in a dumpster somewhere." He scoffed, glaring at Samael through the mirror as he struggled to buckle his seat belt. "Honest, people like you are the worst. I can't believe I'm gonna tell you this, but I'm Linus Teague-Winslet. I doubt anyone recognizes the name anymore." He smirked knowingly, deciding not to question any of the stuff about him being a witch and Samael being a 'Fallen One' just yet. There was more that needed to be addressed before he started delving into that nonsense.

"Why does everyone want to kidnap me today?" Linus asked in a low whisper, but still he allowed himself to be led out of the hospital. "I guess you want my name, right? Well, you're not getting it until I find out what the hell you guys are up to. For all I know, you're working with the cops. Trying to turn me in, are you?" He didn't raise his voice from its hushed tone, not wanting the hospital staff to overhear him talking about being abducted. The last thing he wanted was to bring the police down on top of them. Allowing himself to be kidnapped was far better than being sent to Juvenile Detention.

"By the way, who the hell is Zoe? Can't say I know any Zoes." Linus said as they walked out of the hospital. "'Ey, is she the one who tried to walk away with me before? White girl, dark hair and eyes? She was gonna take me to be a part of some crime ring or something but then I... well, we got separated. So you know Zoe? I bet you can tell me what exactly I'm wanted for....
I have no idea where to start.
