Ah, well. Doesn't have to be human exactly. It can easily apply to an alien species.

Well the idea I have is for the humans. If I wasn't going to do humans it isn't going to jive in my head nearly as well and I would have to find a different idea.
I just don't want to be the fourth human faction. That seems overkill and a little dull.
I was going to do something more along the lines of the Terran Republic with a dash of NC Tech from Planetside 2 maybe. Socialist Powerhouse, but still focusing on things like projectile weaponry and the like. And generally simpler but far More reliable and easy to mass produce tech.

Probably with a long term goal of shattering the outersphere around Earth but that was going to be negotiable.
It's not the idea that there cannot be more than one. But more the idea that it's already taken and I don't feel like doing the same idea as another person.

As for a second Idea, I may have an idea or two. Nothing hard and am still bouncing it around for now.
I don't think I am going to be doing the pslinter group idea. That already seems to be claimed at least once.

Also, a lot of us are sort of 'regulars' if you will, back from the old Guild. So we're familiar with the sort of shenanigans everyone else likes to get up to.*Leans on the non-humanoid aliens nonchalantly.*That said, don't be discouraged. As Darkspleen just alluded to, even those who are recycling nation concepts are typically changing several facets of them considerably. I've read of two of Darkspleen's Commonwealths before, and both were virtually indistinguishable from each other.

I am what you would refer to as a 'regular' to then I suppose. I am well familiar with the old guild, Just not having played a game with any of you before it seems. (For a second it kind of sounded like you meant the latter seemed to be a odd and expected requirement of the former.) I'm not exactly 'freshed faced' when it comes to these types of sites or this one in particular.
This game is starting to sound like it's turning into a continuation of a game I never got around to playing the first time. It feels a bit weird because everyone seems to know and be reacting to everyone else, so I may just back out.
Maybe, just maybe.

Do we have limits or guidelines? Are we all crewing a ship? Or something similar that would give us a reason to travel together?
Im tempted to join this. Though I would like to know some more hard details such as limits as far as technology and the size our nations are allowed to be, etc. Small details but they may have me lean in one direction or the other as far as nation ideas go.

For the first Idea that popped into my head I was hoping to talk to Serpentine? I believe who claimed earth with that whole Wally-ish pampered society idea he has going on. I was thinking on Making a splinter faction of humans who left earth and settled in the stars. Looking at the rise of AI controlled decadence as a cancer and detriment to humanities growth and culture. They are not making discoveries, enduring hardships, having real adventures or exploration. They are simply having life and luxury spoon-fed to them and their complete and utter ignorance of the 'real world' and the wonders and Experiences it contains to be Nothing short of disgusting. They view the inner sphere as nothing less than a gilded cage, A tempting and especially elaborate cage admittedly. But still depriving Humanity of the experiences and the willpower to achieve great things for themselves.

That's a brief and halfbaked explanation but it will serve for now because I am tired and it's getting a little late.
