At first Alexander felt like speaking up. But then as more and more people burst through the door he decided the best thing to do right now was drink a beer and enjoy the show. If there was one thing that could be classified as the most amusing thing to watch in the world. It was not sports, or television or the lastest Hollywood hit. It was nerds talking to one-another and debating with eachother over game choices. And like hell he was going to put a stop to this level of quality entertainment. The people gathered in this room right now were..... Interesting to say the least. Their conversations even more so. He slowly made his way to his own bag of Nintendo 64 games. He was about to pull out his own collection and start tossing down various multiplayer games he acquired through his lifetime. Anything from Mario kart to 007 Golden eye and everything inbetween. But when the group seemed to decide on Smash brothers he shrugged and pushed it all back into his bag. He could think of worse games. And he rather enjoyed the lack of effort it took to paly that game. A good choice to open up with at a party. He was about to reach for one of the controllers when the screen turned black and the overhead lights went dark. "Well then." was all he said as he looked up and around for broken bulbs or any sort of cause for the power failure.
He didn't bring his laptop with him and wasn't everly keen on the small screens of the Gameboy and its many offshoots. "I can't say I brought anything more than my Nintendo." He didn't think the idea of a room full of nerds passing around and sharing the same handheld system while in the dark was going to be quite as exciting of a party. But with no better alternative he supposed it would have to do. He sighed and pinched the brigde of his nose and walked back over to the snack table while everyone else started started crowding around the Gameboys. "When we figure out what's going on and what we're all doing exactly, Someone tell me." he said casually and reached for a slice of pizza and a second beer.
If you want chapters that are really big on using them. Again the Fists like them for siege warfare and defense because you can load with so so many different munition types.

Dark angels just like overwhelming firepower as a general tactic/philosophy. And the blood angels like devastators because they are the least likely to succumb to black rage or the red thirst so they encourage the use of ranged warfare to their marines.

All fo those chapters are big on heavy bolters. Ultramarines as well because Heavy bolters are the base and all purpose devastator weapon as dictated by the codex.
True, Apothecaries are funny, and if they take the toxin skill they are really good.

Part of me wants to be a librarian but I can't think of a specific chapters psyker abilities I want more than the others.

Push comes to shove I may just make a tactical marine because they can do anything. Or make a tactical marine and turn him into a scout. That is also an option.
Yes the Dark angels are far more willing to use plasma than most people.

Though keep in mind, Plasma cannons require some level of fame within deathwatch.

Yes you need to be distinguished level renown.
Dark angels, Imperial fists, Crimson fists are the chapters mentioned in the Deathwatch books that are more reliant or maybe just more willing to use large amounts of devastators. Space wolves surprisingly enough have a fair amount of Devastators.

Everyone else has the 'normal' codex required amount per company and such save a few exceptions. Black Templars for example do not have devastator marines at all.

Blood angels as well would be a chapter that prefers their marines to use ranged weapons and heavy weapons rather than Melee.
Dam it now I want to be blood Raven's.

DAM you lack of material!
Awesome. Is there a site that will allow us to fill out a deathwatch CS? So we can link it here to be checked over by the DM? It's not exactly the most commonly played tabletop game.
if we are doing deathwatch (which is preferred to me.) then Maybe I'll take.... Storm wardens maybe. I find them pretty badass for a chapter that was invented pretty much solely for that game. Probably a devastator myself. I am partial to heavy bolters.

Or maybe a librarian. Those are always fun.

Are we actually going to through the CC process? Drafting sheets and all that fun stuff?
Thovren's van pulled up behind the apartment complex that at best could be described as 'needs Improvement.' As he unplugged him seld he tried to ignore the shouting and questionable noises that were loud enough not only to pierce through the buildings poorly kept walls. But also then penetrate his vehicle. For an employer invested enough in this mission to afford six doc wagon contracts. They seemed to want them tested fairly immediately.

He unjacked himself from the van and sighed as he moved to the back, collecting his pistol and datachip from the workbench. He went over each of his drones and the various parts he kept in the back. Making sure all were snug and secure. He was loathe to leave these were they were but he did not want to draw attention to himself by marching in with a private army of metallic servants. It would be rather obvious at that point what he was doing in the building.

He stepped out of the van into the burning sun. He worked quickly to maglock his van and rush towards the safety of the inside. He hated such intense and direct light. It literally stung him just being under it. He cursed every employer that wanted to do business in the day. He pushed through the hallways and ignored the various stenches that seemed to seep through his masks filter. Hearing questionable things behind doors and not doubting there were criminals in this building far worse than himself. He made it to the designated room and pushed through the door.
Inside he was assaulted with more discomforting light that itched his arms and swore creatively. He did his best to push past it though it was still quite noticeable to him despite his efforts. He focused on the room itself. The undesirable noises seemed to stop completely when he closed the door behind him. That was something at least. The room was bare, just enough furnishings for the team to sit down while they talked and strategized that was about it. He decided to spend his time hunting down the light switch to end this damnable itching and discomfort while he waited for more people to arrive.
Ok. Sorry about my lackluster first post. I'll try to get something up soon. Genre con was this weekend and it was amazingly awesome.
