Ok wow. I wasn't expecting this many in a short period. For now I will strike from the list, the pairings that were taken and for the time being. I am no longer looking.

Right, well I’m tired of looking through the forums for pairings and storyline I would be interested in and people that I think would share a similar interest of the story with me. So I have created my own search engine to save time and effort.
A few ground rules. The basics you would expect from anywhere.

-Proper grammar, no one is perfect and god knows I screw up a fair amount of times. But if we both make the effort than I am more than happy.
-if you want to stop, then tell me. If you lose interest then simply tell me, We can either do something to change it, try a different RP or just go our separate ways.
-Be blunt and straight with me and well get along fine. I'm a big boy I can take it.
-I do MxF for a romance RP. With me as the Male. This is not to say I have not or will not play female rolls. But 9/10 times my main character will be male. I am open to play female side characters as they come along no problem. I am not comfortable with MxM (at least as far as romantic rps go) so don't push that one please.
- I don't tend to have multiple main characters. I'll play a host of side characters that come and go as the story needs them. And I hope you are willing to do the same.
-I am willing to take it as far as you are in terms of maturity. With Violence, language and sex. I will also fade to black if you are most comfortable with this.
-These don’t have to be a romance but some are geared in that direction. others may be platonic.
-Throw twists and turns in with me, why not its always more fun if your not 100% sure whats around the corner. That being said if you see me going in a certain direction with something. Don't just derail me for the hell of it. I'm probably doing it for a reason, I.e add to the setting and story. I will offer the same courtesy to you. If I think you are going in an interesting direction with a specific event, than by all means I wont stop you. I will be rather curious to see where things lead. If we are really confused at what the other is doing, lets just ask each other.
-Please don't control my character, leave his movements to me, because while sometimes people think they are moving him in a minor way that he would act, in my mind he would act a completely different way. If you do this for me I will extend the same courtesy to you.
-I aim for average a post once every week from each of us. Unfortunately my current job makes posting more often difficult. Sometimes once a week becomes bi-weekly. i'm not going to get butt-hurt if you use a similar schedule. Believe me I get it.
-Don't be a Demi-god. Your character must have flaws even if they are a powerful other worldly being, this makes things far more manageable and it wont get boring. Don't make you character ave the skills to do everything well that they come across.

I have a list of specific pairings for each setting, I will post various settings along with some generic pairings that fit into most if not all of these settings. I wont text wall now with the details of each pairing idea but I will post some generic pairings.

Humans and elves are not mortal enemies, but nor have they historically been on fantastic speaking terms. Their relationship since the first time these two races have met, perhaps some thousands of years of history, can be best described as ‘strained’.

There have been wars, skirmishes, disagreements of all kinds and levels of severity. And both races have very ingrained opinions and thoughts about the other.

Not all of that history is negative however as there are multiple examples of peaceful accords, trade agreements and even historical accounts of co-operation, possibly even shared cities. But these never seem to last longer than a few short centuries, the lifespan of an elf.

A prime example of this mutual dislike is between the predominantly human kingdom state of Coryan and their neighbors, the Sylvanari. A group of elves many humans might commonly refer to as ‘wood elves’. The frequency of disagreement between both kingdoms is almost legendary and can fill its own library wing on the subject.

But nothing unites rivals quite like a crisis. And it is a crisis indeed that befell the region where these two nations call home. A great and old scourge has come from the south lands, the neighbors immediately in its path were caught completely unawares and the refuges that streamed up from those now shattered kingdoms speak of death and destruction and terrible savagery.

Now the two bickering nations have been forced into co-operation if only for mutual survival. They have been forced to rely heavily on each other while they beseech any allies and friends they have abroad for any and all help with relief.

Most armies are still composed entirely of one race, but armies fighting alongside each other has become increasingly common. The crucible of war has had the side effect of planting the seeds for begrudging, but growing respect from both sides. As well as forcing more co-operation and conversation, at least at the officer level. Both sides trying their best to bury, or at least not bring up old grudges and bite their tongues instead of reverting back to habitual slurs and comments they might otherwise throw at each other.

This is the basic setup for the story I want to play. Between two military officers trying to do their best to stem the tide of invasion and work alongside historically touchy allies. I planned for them to be junior-mid level officers to give them a bit of authority and importance(and reason to interact on a regular basis), but not so high ranking as to remove them from the potential for actual combat and action altogether. Not fresh faced lieutenants, but not generals or lord commanders either.

I also figure that these characters have probably dealt with each other for a-while now. They know each other, have fought a few battles together and bled a bit and have the scars to show of it.

So the RP would actually start off with the seeds of our characters eventual affair having already been planted, the spark already lit so to speak. All it needs is time. And in the stress and heat of constant warfare for literal survival, well emotions will explode in funny ways. And few would fault two soldiers who face death on a weekly basis for giving into the moment and working out their stress in non regulation ways.

Obviously this is a basic outline and there is a lot to be worked out via pm and and some back and forth. In particular the nature of the enemy our character is fighting against needs to be worked out. I have two ideas I posted and honestly... I'm split on which one I prefer. The legion of the dead are classic as is the idea of a necromancer or lich rampage. But I also really like the idea of Draconian forces wreaking havoc and having sprung up straight out of myth and legend after who knows how long.

Various themes would be our own gradual overcoming of our more casual racism towards each others factions. Which would have already started to mend a little (not completely) as well as a nice build up of our characters attraction towards each other despite (or perhaps because of) the physical and behavior reasons that so often make both races turn their noses up at each other.

So ya, I have some character ideas posted as well and I am keen on both of them but am open to discussion if you have an image of your own. But the idea of her being an elf is pretty integral to the whole story so that's not really adjustable.

By all means if you have an idea for one of these pairings hit me up. The worst I can say is no. I tend to have at the very least rough if not semi-defined ideas already about most pairings I post in this thread. But I am open to negotiation usually on the specifics. I will probably update this with new pairings and/or settings as my current interests are fulfilled and new ones arrive.

As anyone looking at this thread can probably tell I enjoy browsing and using pinup art. Say what you will but some of those pictures are just great. And they are responsible for at least half of all my plot ideas and inspirations in general.

Ok this is what I have so far. Changes may be made at a later date or if asked by the DM.

Name: Thovren Trannyth
Age: 15

Race: Half-elf
Class: (Level 0) Fighter

What you want to be when you grow up? Thovren always wanted to make a name for himself. To be like his father and amass his own fame and his own fortunes. To go one great adventures and see wonderous places during his travels.

Who is your mentor? 's father mainly. A human man named Serath. Serath began as a private mercenary in his youth. Barely able to swing a blade himself he set out with a head filled with ideals of glorious combat and loaning his sword to worthy causes. Needless to say the first few battles knocked many of those ideals clean from his mind, But not all of them. Eventually he founded his own mercenary band, small but filled with men and woman he trusted.
During one of his assignments where his ban was hired he met Thovren's mother. Shortly after he slowed the pace of his travelling, letting his lieutenants run the physical side of things while he took care of logistics and liason. Eventually as his age caught up with him he abandoned Mercenary work altogether having already accumulated a tidy sum for himself. He settled in the quietest village he could remember from his travelling days with his soon to be complete family.

Brief Biography: From what his parents tell him it was shortly after his birth that his parents decided to retire and move to the village. To have a safer place to nurture their now budding family. He was a babe when he first arrived and only remembers being raised within the village.
From an early age he was clearly his fathers child. Instead of tilling a fields all day he was a part of the towns small milita, which was organized and led by his father. He would get up in the morning with an enthusiam only a child could have and imitated(as best he was able) the exercises he saw the militia do during the days. The militia knew about their shadow member and found great amusement in that fact he would mirror everything they did. And his father didn't mind this. Because it kept his boy within eyesight and he knew that at the very least he was doing something productive if he was copying their exercise routines. The other members would chuckle and constantly try to wave over the 'little guardsman' as he was called. Make pretend stories of goblins or such preparing to raid the village, and that every able bodied boy would need to be called for defence. Of course during his younger years he soaked this up as the truth. Nodding furiously and working until he would eventually collapse for a nap.
Around when he was ten the militia started to include him regularly. Teach him the basics. While the villages armoury was limited, mostly relying on what the blacksmith could make when not showing horses or forging nails and tools. And what heirlooms members of the village had from their grandparents or the like. So that's where his skills stayed. He worked himself for athleticism. Training with wooden swords and practicing with an old crossbow that his father kept when he needed to hunt. Strength and endurance training filled his days. And on the few days when the militia did not train he was either resting or put to work with the blacksmith, carrying loads of ore, working the bellows, hammering out basic objects like hooks and nails. Anything that put his strength to use.

What person(s) of interest do you know in the village? Who all do you have a relationship with?: Serath, One of the more prominent people in the village because of the wealth he had when he settled here and because of the help he lends as an occasional hunter to kill the odd wolf or bear that strays to close for comfort.
The old hag- An old woman that none of the younger children know the name of. All they know is that her home smells terrible and some of the scent managed to stick to her body. There are of course rumors abound as only children can imagine about what it is inside her home that causes such a stench. But no one has been brave enough to make the attempt of even cracking open the door. In reality she is a kindly old woman, one who knows poultices and basic bandage making and healing arts. She knows what the children whisper about her and finds it incredibly hilarious. Even playing along at some points.
-Milanee Silentread. Thovren's elven mother. From he can gather from his parents his mother was young when she first met his father, even for an elf. From what his father says his mother participated in a handful of engagements and assignments. Even though his mother claims she was a cook and a trained baker specifcally. His father told him how she was quote the sight with a bow back in the day.

Equipment:
-Light crossbow, (older peice, but still functional.)
-10 Crossbow bolts,
-Dark blue shirt, Thick Brown trousers,
-Sturdy Brown leather gloves and brown leather boots.
-Simple dagger
-Studded leather pauldron over his right shoulder, it was originally a joke gift from the militia to siginfy when he truly was able to join them, instead of following alongside as an impressionable child. He wears it with great pride despite knowing its real meaning.
-Small coin purse

Class Skills:
-Crossbow use. His father taught him basics of aiming and firing a crossbow, which he says can be far more versatile that a bow if used right.
-basic Hand to hand skills, Not something to rely on it was an invaluable set of lessons none the less. Ivellios left the village for his own adventures before he had the chance to learn more than the most basic bladework.
-Basic bladecraft. Even knives he has learned to use mostly for survival. But he can use it to defend himself in a steep situation. He has learned basic sword strokes though by far his most profficient weapon is the crossbow.
-Weapon maitenance. If he was going to learn a weapon, his father was dam certain he was going to learn how to take proper care of it. He wasn't going to let his sone die because he was to lazy to scour away a little rust from his axe. Or treat a split in his bow.

Villager Skills:
-Basic survival. Even though his father was a mercenary Thovren still had to help with other chores in the village, one of which was setting into the woods to help gather basic poultice supplies, chop firewood for his family and for the village. or even bag the occasional small game with the hunters for meat (although he was usually just there to carry the arrows and help haul back the corpse.)
-Basic fletching (can make rough if not adequatly balanced bolts from wood and stone if necessary.)
-Literacy was taught to him at an early age by his mother.

Fantasy/Adventure Roleplay

May I make a suggestion? I toyed with the idea of joining this. But as was said earlier there really isn't to much information. A lot is left really vague and that is what kept me from throwing myself into this. Try just expanding on each region somewhat. Go into politics and military, culture, lifestyles. or if you want to leave that up to the players say so. but there needs to be more to go off of.

any elf subtype can have, by extension a half elf subtype related to it. all they have to do is get busy with a human.

Now I may or may not be bowing out of this. I don't know yet. Just giving a warning.

I knew who the quote was directed at. I am also well aware that I left my own message a little vague though it was no way directed at anyone specific. All I was saying is that right now there are Nine people interested in this RP. There are only 8 spots. Personally I am taking experiment 9546. I that one seems awesome and I am already put down for it. I am not at all talking about who is taking what. Rather what are we going to do now that there is an extra player wanting to get in.

Go to the same site you linked the phrenic creatures from. Just go to creature templates and look for radiant creature. Its kind of like a planetouched but these people have ancestry in the plane of light.
