An innate Paranoia and superb sense of smell and hearing can keep a skaven constantly appraised of his surroundings.
Like most skaven when tides of fortune turn he most likely will try to scurry away and lick his wounds, leaving anyone he is with to face the danger alone. In extreme cases skaven void their bladders when greatly frightened or threatened/faced with death of any kind.
Small but sharp claws that are easily capable of tearing flesh though anything harder like metals or even leather will require a weapon of some sort.
Like their smaller cousins a Rat-man is highly resistant to disease. Often diseases care carried in their fur and spread into towns or villages the Skaven choose to raid.
A heightened metabolism is also a trait carried over from their smaller cousins. Thy are capable of great bursts of mind blowing speed, Acrobatics, and other feats of scurrying. But keeping the body going after such exertions has a side effect of great hunger. Which is fortunate because a skaven will eat pretty much anything. Even the corpses of their own kind if there is nothing better nearby.
Physical Genetic Traits: Yes Skaven have thin and naked tails. These tails are also prehensile. Some of the most highly trained warriors and assassins have practised for years and years to be able to swing small knives, stiletto’s and fixed blades on the ends of their tails. Though mast skaven lack the strength and skill to use their tails in combat. It is considered an art and takes much training.
Magical Capabilities: Despite their massive population and incredible rate of breeding most Skaven do not possess magical capabilities. It is found only in a select few. Namely those born with Grey or in the rarest of cases White fur. Particularly the White furred skaven often double as Priests of their Dark god and supposed father of their race.

Abilities: Both intense training and Natural/fear born skills allow him to remain virtually undetectable if he does not wish to be seen or heard. Skaven assassins are some of the greatest masters of stealth in the world. And are rightly feared because of this.
Magical Skills: Only a few Skaven are born at times with innate sorcerous abilities. Or rather, few skaven are born with the opportunity to practice their sorcerers talents. Only a small percent of their population can ever have that privilege.
Combat Skills: as an assassin and skaven in general he always tried to fight when the odds are overwhelmingly in his favour. Whether its through numbers, the enemy is poisoned or crippled in some way. There is no such thing as honour in the Skaven world.
He does not possess the skill of the greatest or even middle class assassins who can take on overwhelming odds against themselves and emerge victorious. Or even stand to much of a chance in a one on one against a trained human fighter.

Favourite Food: Fresh meat regardless from what species it came from. Fresh food in general is an uncommon thing in the Skaven Empire. With so many mouths to feed many skaven simply go hungry and die from starvation, eating rotting or completely rotten food does not seem to effect Skaven or their smaller rat cousins at all.
Biography
Family: Spawning's are frequent in Skaven life. And litters can size up to a score of runt-lings. There are no families, no warmth or mothers or fathers. Skaven look out for themselves. Occasionally some brothers of the same birthing may ally themselves though neither of them ever expect it to last in the long term and would sacrifice the other in a heartbeat if it meant more comfort for themselves.

Social Standing: Runner and entry level Assassin
Childhood: Being Runt-ling in Skavendom is harsh. Many Runt-lings are taken away shortly after birth to become the slave class of the skaven race. Other still will not survive the next five years of life of trying to eek out a living in the Under empire. Skaven runts are thrown to the wolves. They are taught basic lessons of life in schools and then expected to find their own way. It was only by virtue of his black fur that saved him from a fate as a slave or a common citizen/clan warrior of the Skaven.
To the rat-man the colour of ones fur often dictates their overall status in society. Darker brown is the sign of warriors and foot soldiers, lighter brown are slaves. Black is supposedly the mark of a true killer. They often become the elites of the Skaven army, Wear the best armour and weapons, are well fed in comparison to their more common brethren. And Often have breeding rites in the hopes more black furred runts will be born into society. Some black furred skaven, depending on the clan one is born into will be taken to start the long journey of assassination and intrigue.
The Failure also happens to be the exact same as the mortality rate, and both are extremely high. Training is harsh and most budding assassins are simply given a weapon and a cloak and provided with a name for their first target. They are expected to do the rest on their own. Few ever survive this trial. But those who do are marked as being smarter, faster and more ruthless and worthy of the instructors valuable time and efforts.
But now he stands after being thrown to the wolves or in his case the pack of guard dogs he was nearly eaten by during his trial assignment. He stands as a new initiate to the Skaven cause. His training has begun with a myriad of weapons(giving just a passing description and demonstration of most) and started himself down the path of the yellow fang (The skaven martial art, again, mostly a demonstration. Very little practice.)
Occupational History: Setting traps, hunting and Killing humans, raiding villages for supplies, amusement, or those who venture to close to a location the skaven deem to be theirs.
