Decided to test my theory.
The following is the result of 2 minutes in Pivot.

Just curious though who did they have that had a sword/nunchuck weapon?

I disagree, the sword is massive enough and it looks like it has two separate blades folded up, those could easily fold outwards and form a Scythe. In addition, since when did we see anything about it lacking a ranged form, it probably still has one. Just because we've only seen the sword form so far does not mean it doesn't have two other forms. It probably is a sword-sniper-scythe.
Plus I'd argue sword and nunchucks are just as different as sword and scythe. The only similarity those two have are being blunt weapons, while sword and scythe are both bladed weapons.

Generally speaking most of the transforming weapons have a melee and ranged versions. Crescent Rose has scythe and sniper rifle forms, Wiess has sword which can fire dust, Yang has gauntlets for punching which also fire rounds, Ren had gun knives. I don't think we've seen a weapon that has two distinct melee forms yet, though if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.
Neptune has Guandao and Trident form. Pyrrha has a spear that transforms into a sword. Sun has a staff that becomes nunchucks.
So yeah, we've had plenty of examples.

Also guys, this is RWBY, Qrow's sword obviously transforms and that'll probably be the Scythe form. And they confirmed that was him at RTX.

The Pic confirms it though, since Yang stated that her mom was on the same team with Qrow, Summer and Tai-Yang.

Also I think Summer is supposed to be the leader and based off the order I propose the true team name:
Team STRQ: STORK!
Cause Tai-Yang made them deliver all the babies.
