BECAUSE I AM SWITCHING ACCOUNTS TO POKE, THIS ACCOUNT WILL NOW SERVE AS A MEMORIAL TO THE ONLY KING THAT MATTERS.

Ostarion, the Skeleton King

"Bone is strongest where it's mended."

The victim of a longevity spell that backfired, the Skeleton King Ostarion has built an empire from the bones of his enemies. He lives only to extend his reach, for as long as he is perpetually building and adding to his domain he cannot die. The walls of his palace are formed of fired bone; the streets are paved with bones of every sort of creature and every enemy; and even the wood and other natural features of his land have been swept away and replaced with replicas formed of bone. From the Ivory Forest to Ostarion's towering Throne of Bone, nothing happens in the Empire of Bones without the full knowledge of its Skeleton King.

"Distant Shooter" Den Grimsly
Age: 16 Race: Birkan Height: 5'6 Weight: 64.0 kg (141 lbs) Bounty: Den Grimsly has no bounty. Rather, he hunts people with bounties as a Rookie Bounty Hunter. Personality: Grimsly tends to be quite calm inside and outside of combat, and is difficult to surprise. He is quite appreciative of many things he finds in the Grand Line, as he comes from the sky islands - where many of the things in the Grand Line do not exist. He approaches most of his problems through thinking, rather than charging in mindlessly. He can be quite obnoxious at times when it comes to strategies, and enjoys nothing more than poking holes in the supposed foolproof plans of others. In a group, he takes the role of a 'deadpan snarker', and is normally the voice which points out flaws during discussions. When in combat, Grimsly tries to abstain from speaking, maintaining his focus, but he has been known to make the odd taunting remark or two. He also tends to use the greeting 'Heso', as they do in Skypiea. History: WIP Grimsly hails from a Birkan family of Bounty Hunters. Before he was born, his family had moved from the warrior-filled sky island named Birka to the more peaceful and organized sky island; Skypiea. This did not excuse Grimsly from the battle-oriented culture of the Birkan race, and Grimsly was raised as both a Bounty Hunter and a warrior. His choice of weaponry had been decided fairly early in his life, as Grimsly demonstrated his gift of powerful eyesight at a young age. When he walked around Skypiea's beaches with his family, he would constantly point at things somewhat close to the horizon that were difficult to see, and would describe them with relative ease. He was taught how to utilize multiple forms of guns, cannons and bows as he came of age. At no point was he shown how to use any melee weapons - save for a dagger which didn't require much skill to wield effectively, and was only to be used when there was no other combat option. As a result, Grimsly has little proficiency when it comes to fighting at close ranges. Grimsly had a desire to collect different types of ranged weaponry, but felt extremely limited when it came to where he could go. Skypiea was only so big, and there would only be sea of clouds greeting him once he reached the sky island's edge. It was only in stories that he had heard of the fabled blue sea which supposedly lay below the cloud sea. It interested Grimsly as a collecter, and as a fighter. Through the use of a four-length bird, Grimsly was able to travel from the sky, to the blue sea below. He had managed to get to the Grand Line this way, and has arrived on his first island. Abilities: Marksmanship Den Grimsly is a marksman, and owns a various assortment of ranged weaponry; extending from the basic pistols to a long-range rifle or bazooka. His ranged arsenal even extends to a bow, a slingshot and two crossbows. In combat, Grimsly constantly switches his weapons. He may be found firing a pistol for the first few seconds of a fight, but may switch to his long-range rifle to take a shot at enemy crew member on an another ship. His constant weapon-shifting keeps enemies on their toes and wary. Naturally, Grimsly's focus on ranged weapons leaves him at a very clear disadvantage versus anyone who can close the distance between him and them, as he lacks a significant melee weapon to fight with, and wouldn't be very proficient with it regardless. This combat style always makes people question where he actually stores his weapons. Not even he knows. Vision His eyesight is exceptional, and he is able to see over much longer distances than the average person. He is able to make out people on faraway ships, making him valuable as a ship's lookout (although he tends to get quite bored, doing that). Dials Den Grimsly is a Birkan. A race that hails from the sky island of Birka; southeast of Skypiea. He shortly moved to Skypiea after birth, however. Grimsly has had access to, and has collected: Dials. He uses these Dials for combat, but some of these can be also be used outside of combat. Techniques: N/A Traits: N/A Inventory: Den Grimsly carries around a small bag which contains his Dials: . Two Jet Dials. . A Breath Dial. . An Impact Dial. . A Flash Dial. In addition, Den Grimsly also has a large assortment of non-specific ranged weaponry.
Why would you limit yourself to only existing devil fruit?
I'm not the OP, so I can't really give a real answer. But the existing Devil Fruits are pretty interesting. Plus, it eliminates the chance of people trying to create overpowered Logia Devil Fruits or something. That said, I'd like to express my interest if there's still space.
"Whoa, how much did that cost!" Taeion looked up from his meal to see another student. Had he been sitting here all this time? Taeion hadn't noticed. The boy was asking about the price of the pizza which the Indolent Ninja had. Taeion stopped eating for a moment to answer. "...20 AC." Upon answering, he also noticed another person at the table. Taeion was sitting opposite to a female student. He blinked once, turned to the boy and spoke again. "Am I...interrupting something...?" Taeion asked, interlocking the fingers of both of his hands as he said this, trying to suggest that the two students were in some kind of relationship.
Taeion had made his order at the counter. He pointed towards the menu seemingly putting no thought into it. The persona at the counter knew better, and able to discern what he was ordering without any voice prompt on Taeion's part. It was quite clear he had done this sort of thing before. Taeion collected his order - an entire pizza. It was something which he had requested several times to be on the cafeteria's menu early last year, something which the academy's higher-ups reluctantly complied with in order to get Taeion to stop bothering them. However, the menu itself was never actually updated to include this information, and it became something which only sophmores of the academy were aware of. Freshmen tended to be confused when Taeion would enter the cafeteria with nothing, and would return with such an out-of-place order. Paying for his food with 20 AC, Taeion made his way to the first table he saw. Placing his food on the table, he began to eat. While he did not notice it - likely due to his half-closed eyes, there were two other students at the table. One, a male who appeared to carry no weapons. He likely belonged to one of the Magic Classes. An Adept, maybe? The other had a Class which was harder to discern. She was eating curry, but was using chopsticks to do so - something which Taeion would find strange, had he even managed to notice the other students.
Well, there are still some of us here. So the RP isn't entirely dead. But like I said, we could just redo the interest check, and then remake the thread again. I think it'd be better to do that, purely because we'll get a better idea of who still wants to be in.
Maybe it would be a good idea to reboot the RP entirely, since we seem to be missing a lot of people.
After receiving the loot from the now-dead Fire Rats, Taeion was able to make his way back to the Sprite which would send him back to the academy. His assignment was successful, a slightly damaged arm as his only casualty. He had also ran out of shuriken. He took note of this, and planned to buy more from the AcadeMMO's weapon store. At least, he thought they had one. He wasn't entirely sure. Taeion made his way back to the Sprite, completely forgetting about the carnage and destruction in the docks which he had inadvertently caused by luring Fire Rats out of a crate. He would take no part in the clean up of the mess either.
Finding the Sprite, Taeion prepared to travel back to the academy, save for the fact that he had forgotten how to activate the Sprite. He tapped it lightly first. The Sprite bobbed up and down for a bit before stabilizing itself, although nothing which carried a 'teleportation' vibe seemed to occur. Taeion blinked, waiting for a few moments. The Sprite hadn't said anything so far - nor had Taeion. There was a long, drawn-out silence... Taeion then struck the Sprite with a punch. While it may not have been the right way to activate the Sprite, it certainly was effective. The Sprite began to glow, enveloping him in a light which grew brighter and brighter. With that, he disappeared from the docks. Moments later, he reappeared within one of the teleportation rooms within the AcadeMMO. He stepped out of the room, and looked around. He was certainly back at the academy. Taeion turned his attention toward his arm; it was healed, although there was still a minor scar - likely due to him assaulting the Sprite to try and get it to activate. Taeion would probably need to find the assistance of an actual Healer if he wished to fully remove the injury. With little else to do, Taeion's only objectives were to eat and then return to his constant resting, perhaps even rest whilst eating, should he feel like it. He made his way to the dining hall, albeit drowsily - his Special Assignment had ended, there was nothing left to fight, meaning Taeion had returned to his lazy state. He reached the double-doors leading to the dining hall and in his absent-minded disposition, put to much effort into opening them. The doors swung open, both hitting their respective walls. With such a small amount of people in the dining hall, the noise the doors created echoed throughout the hall. It was surprising, and few of the students looked to see what had caused it. A portion, seeing Taeion, were all too aware that this was how the "Indolent Ninja" acted most the time, and simply went back to studying. Others were slightly annoyed by his obnoxious disregard for the other students within the dining hall. Nevertheless, Taeion ignored the reactions of his peers, and made his way to the cafeteria's menu. It was hard to believe that he completed an ExBeast Assignment just a few minutes prior.
Taeion could plainly see the rats scuttling up the chains, but was unable to give pursuit. He considered the possibility of falling - what if they tried to fire at him whilst he climbed? He wouldn't be able to dodge effectively, and would end up getting burned. Taeion thought for a moment. By extension, the Fire Rats should have difficulty dodging anything he threw their way. He dug into his pocket for a final time, but Taeion was mildly surprised to find that he only had one shuriken left. He looked around for something else to throw, and was able to find a small rock - around the same size as a regular rodent. Maybe he could knock one of the rats off of the chain instead, letting it fall to its death. Taeion tossed both of the projectiles for a final time, aware that success would allow him to return to the AcadeMMO for a "well-deserved" rest.
