BECAUSE I AM SWITCHING ACCOUNTS TO POKE, THIS ACCOUNT WILL NOW SERVE AS A MEMORIAL TO THE ONLY KING THAT MATTERS.

Ostarion, the Skeleton King

"Bone is strongest where it's mended."

The victim of a longevity spell that backfired, the Skeleton King Ostarion has built an empire from the bones of his enemies. He lives only to extend his reach, for as long as he is perpetually building and adding to his domain he cannot die. The walls of his palace are formed of fired bone; the streets are paved with bones of every sort of creature and every enemy; and even the wood and other natural features of his land have been swept away and replaced with replicas formed of bone. From the Ivory Forest to Ostarion's towering Throne of Bone, nothing happens in the Empire of Bones without the full knowledge of its Skeleton King.

Interest. Will probably go for Homunculi. Seems cool.
Question: Is there some sort of public titanpad that I've missed, or did everyone just organize their duels through their own titanpads + pms?
Venwyn Ael

Sat far in the backline of the B2 spectator seats was a mysterious boy. The mysterious boy doing mysterious...things. Well, not really mysterious things. Dressed in a ninja-like garb, the boy was simply sorting through his equipment. Duel Disk, Deck, booster pack. His wispy presence had kept him distant from all of the other students, so much so that they probably wouldn't have been able to recall seeing him on the bus ride - assuming he even used the bus to get here. He probably did use the bus though.

I mean, he wasn't quite going to reach the academy any other way. Still, that wasn't quite important right now.

Several minutes prior...

Despite being such a crowded area before, the room which split into the different arenas was now almost completely empty. Most of the students had picked their Decks and packs (assuming they wanted any) and had already made their way to the various arenas to watch the duels as they unfold, save for a small group of students that weren't too interested in the whole deal. The depressed teacher still remained at the rack though, and would probably wait there for some time; there was always the odd student who had to come in late, and this time was no exception. There was a burst of smoke in one of the corners of the room, and as it dissipated it revealed the mysterious boy - Venwyn Ael. How he had managed to get in like that was a complete mystery. It managed to spook the small group of students, but the teacher was completely unfazed by the entrance; he had seen it all before. Instead, he urged the boy to hurry up and pick a deck.

"Are you going to take a Deck, or...?" His voice trailed off.

However, all the Decks were gone. The wave of students had already taken them. Venwyn was about to comment on the fact, before the teacher sluggishly reached under the booster pack table, pulling out a medium-sized box. The contents of it was a combination of spider webs, actual spiders, and a single, dusty Deck. However, Venwyn was quickly able to discern exactly what Deck that was.

Ghostricks.

Ignoring the legged-demons and their silk traps, Venwyn reached for the Ghostrick Deck almost immediately. The teacher, still unimpressed by the ordeal, continued to clue Venwyn through the process.

"Booster Pack?"

"...Primal Origin." He said, reaching for the pack as he saw it.

"Duel Disk?"

"...Yeah." Venwyn replied, reaching for the duel disk in turn.

"Excellent." The teacher said, brimming with sarcasm. Of course, Venwyn didn't quite pick up on it, and simply bowed, disappearing in a puff of smoke as quickly as he had arrived.

The teacher pinched the bridge of his nose. These kids were getting weirder each year.
Venwyn Ael

Age:
16

Gender:
Male

Personality:
For the most part, Venwyn will uphold a personality befitting a ninja like himself, being both quiet and serious. One worded answers and short sentences compose his speech, and he seemingly prefers to play the role of "observer". However, Venwyn is far from unsocial, rather, the quiet demeanour which he upholds is simply his default personality versus people that he does not know well. It's an outer shell of sorts. However, one can quite easily get past Venwyn's colder personality within around five minutes of making conversation (asking him about his origins is normally enough), where he becomes significantly more casual and talkative around said person or people. While he may remain quite loyal to the "shell breaker," most of his loyalty lies with the Ael Clan, since that's where he was raised.

Notably, Venwyn maintains his cold personality when duelling, it is seemingly impossible for him to become agitated or nervous. He is a believer of fate. Fated to lose, fated to win, fated to have your monster destroyed and the like. Venwyn has a high amount of faith in his archtype choice and duelling capabilities, in addition to becoming quite irritated when he loses, although his talks of fate prevent him from truly lashing out about it. Instead, he just disappears in a puff of smoke without congratulating or speaking to the winner. He may congratulate a friend, but is definitely one to hold grudges against anyone who isn't.

For some reason, he has the tendency to add a "Ninja Arts" prefix to almost any action that he deems necessary, despite it being anything but. "Ninja Arts: Door Kick" being a somewhat recent example.

He notices that he's one of the "out of place" duellists at the Academy, although it doesn't appear to bother him much. Some people are interested in his actual ninja techniques, like disappearing. Although when people actually ask Venwyn to teach them some techniques, he rips them off with fake "ninja tools" which he sells at ridiculous prices; like a scroll-shaped Thermos, called a "Water Scroll."

Aside from that, Venwyn purposefully lacks presence; he has a tendency to enter and exit rooms without people actually noticing it, normally surprising or confusing people in the process.

History:
The Ael Clan are an ancient and secretive family of mystics, visionaries and (of all things) ninjas. The history of the Ael Clan spans backward to the times of ancient Egypt, where members of the Ael Clan were frequented the Shrine of Wedju, partaking in the original form of duelling through use of their Ba. The Ael Clan were gatherers of history, undertaking the task of learning and recording the methods behind the Egyptian form of duelling. The Ael Clan would proceed to thrive over the course of generations, while remaining secretive and generally unknown among the populace.

In the modern era, the Ael Clan have been faced with the new methods of duelling. Holding onto the old ways was important, but as was understanding the new ways. The clan made the decision to gather knowledge regarding Duel Monsters also, sending out several disciples in order to do so. Venwyn is an example of one of these disciples, sent to the Duel Academy with the job of recording cards to add to the archive, a job given to him due to his exceptional memory.

There's still space for this in terms of characters, right? I'm curious.
Interest in a Master slot. Maybe an Assassin Master, not too sure.
