"Carter and Sadie are concerned -- one day, you're acting normally, the next, they get a proximity alert saying you've teleported away. What's up with that, huh? What quest are you on, and why do you need this scroll?"
She hands him a Dr.Pepper and opens one for herself. She sets the aforementioned scroll across her lap and leans forward, careful not to get perspiration from the can on the delicate papyrus.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?"
Call him a bitch. "Bitch." Perfect.

Llewellyn follows the brunette and Jacob a long ways away from the library. After going through a door, the girl lounges at a couch, pulling sodas out of the ice bowl on the glass coffee table. He reaches for one, and she smacks his hand. Bewildered, he slowly reaches for it again, and she does nothing.
Though thoroughly confused, he sits at the armchair across from the magicians. A tall, blue, golem-like creature covered in hieroglyphs ambles past, carrying bedsheets, and neither Egyptian seems to give it any mind.
lmao
Idol? Legendary. Blood, Sweat, and Tears? Effervescent.
No one asked, but I like trap, house, and rock. BTS is my guilty pleasure.
Aster grins, seeing the totem of Sobek on the boy out of the corner of her eye. She turns and gives him a big, fake, menacing smile. "Hey, kid, you're far from home! You looking for this?" She holds up the scroll.
She turns, seeing the local walk in, and her smile dips. "Walk and talk, kid. I have a room ready for you in the guest quarters." She lowers her voice. "Keep quiet. It's not safe to talk about hosts or other gods in front of these magicians."
Taking the scroll with her, she turns and walks to the guest quarters. She finds the Shabti from before, notifying it to prep four extra rooms, and she lounges across a couch in the main area.
Excellent. Yes, that boy has Sobek.
She turns her head, finally hearing her patron after a couple of days. She, of course, had been able to feel him, but it's uncharacteristic for such a noisy god to have been quiet for so long.
Awww, I thought maybe I got lucky and you died. Bummer, that.
Quiet, fool. You know you love me.
"None at all. I had an unwitting scapegoat in place, a human mercenary who's known to have killed nobles from all three kingdoms. I was fortunate enough to have been able to see him carted off. A madman, he looked like."
"On another note..." Elias hands Vinashy his report. "I finished your mission. Lord Rowan, Lord Bucharest, and Duke Middleton of the human kingdom will, ah, no longer be contending for the twins' hands in marriage. This leaves the humans with significantly fewer choices, and they'll be more likely to accept the treaty." He nods, satisfied.

Faustine clasps her sister's hand in hers. "We'll figure it out, I know it." She pulls her sister into a warm hug and leaves to the library.
Yeah, same here. Don't expect a post until late.
Lyn approaches a red roan, gently petting it. Once it's saddled, he pulls himself up onto it. He seems ecstatic.

Aster changes into loose cotton pants and a crop top, finally free of the hieroglyphs, and pulls her jacket on. She checks on her wand and khepeshes in the duat, and heads downstairs.
I’m ready to go, Sadie. St. Petersburg, please.
Take care of yourself, dear!” Sadie teases, opening the portal.
Aster fake-swoons. “What would I do without you?
Sadie giggles, and Aster ducks backwards into the portal.

St. Petersburg, Russia, is the 18th nome. She's been here a few times before, and it's quite peaceful without all the Apophis-sympathizers. She waves at a guard, who salutes her, and makes her way to the guest wing. She finds a shabti folding sheets.
"I'm going to need at least two rooms reserved. Please get them ready."
It hurries off to do so. Aster heads to the main hall and greets Leonid, telling him of her current quest. He gives her permission to stay as long as needed. She relaxes in the library and looks over some of the scrolls there, waiting for news of the boy's arrival.
Lyn crosses his arms and leans against the dresser. “Had a hell of a dream last night. Uh, no pun intended. I spoke my father in the Underworld. He says I have osteomancy, which is basically bone magic – no weird jokes, please. Nico was there, too – says he goes there all the time to practice. We spent a lot of time sparring, and I think I have a decent grasp on basic movement.
