Fox came up with a really neat idea in her last post that people are welcome to utilise in their own, and that's the environment shifting and changing to obstruct our characters. Everyone is also welcome to utilise the bosses in their posts too in whatever way they like. Kathi, Kei, if you guys have any questions regarding the bosses since I know you guys weren't here when the Pride originally fought them, I'm welcome to answer any queries. :) The main goal for this current setup is to run for the tower and survive whilst being hounded, all the whilst things getting worse and worse and more and more desperate. :) MUAHAHAHA.

Thaum: Group A

Another arc of white hot light barrelled down the street, pure energy ripping through and obliterating everything in its path. Estelle, Marcus and Don dashed to the side, ducking down an alleyway in the nick of time once again to avoid Gaoh’s relentless attack, but it wasn’t enough. Estelle’s eyes widened in horror as she realised it wasn’t stopping, and instead it continued, turning towards them and consuming the buildings they had taken as shelter as Gaoh shifted his arm in a slow but steady sweep.

“D-down!” Estelle shrieked, grabbing Marcus and Don’s arms and dragging them to the floor with her, just in time to avoid the arc of death searing overhead. She could feel the heat rupturing overhead, and it was pure luck that her, and the rest of her friends’ hair, hadn’t sparked on fire.

Eventually the Magitech Cannon’s blast dissipated of energy, leaving a cool, eerie silence behind. Poking her head up, Estelle stared in disbelief at the level of nothing that was left in Gaoh’s path. At the buildings still half standing, the sides of their walls and interiors smoothed out levelly from the edge of the attack. And in the distance, walking towards them with a snide grin, reloading his cannon with another Magisphere: Gaoh.

“This isn’t going to work,” Estelle said. “We can’t keep running, not when he can do this! We have to fight, we have to-”

“NO!” Marcus denied again. “We have to run, Estelle, it’s the only way!”

A terrific gust of wind gripped the Pride, and propelled their bodies into the air, moving at a diagonal direction inbetween horizontal and vertical. Estelle, Marcus, Selan and Don all landed on their feet one of the house’s rooftops, with Don catching the catatonic Trixie in his arms, still giving a wary glance back towards the relentlessly stalking Gaoh.

“See?” Marcus said, pointing ahead. Now that they were raised, above the violet fog, they could see the rest of the twisted, nightmarish Thaum around them, and in the distance, in two separate places across the town, on either side of the giant tower in Thaum’s centre… more chaos and devastation. More erupting fireballs of explosions, and the two monsters that could be seen as larger then the surrounding homes’ rooftops-

“A giant skeleton? How is that…?” Estelle gawped, and her hands began to shake as they focused on the next. “And that’s… what the hell is that?”

“Oren.” Marcus’ eyes narrowed, his teeth clenching shut tightly. Selan and Don followed their friends’ gaze, and they too were left speechless at the gigantic terror smothering the skyline in the distance.

“But… bro… didn’t…?” Don struggled to speak, but Marcus just shook his head, and another surge of emerald light filled the bodies of his friends, as Gaoh’s magitech cannon below reached full charge.

“We can’t fight. We simply can’t. We need to get to that tower.” Marcus looked to his friends. “As quickly as we can.”

There was an air of understanding, and the quartet dashed off, rushing along the rooftops as the buildings behind were vaporised into oblivion. Gaoh kept laughing.

Around them, however, Thaum was beginning to shift, and turn. The very environment itself seeking to oppose the Pride… and to kill them.

But that sounds really interesting, and also kind of a shame in how much pressure and demand there is from media and society etc to be 'beautiful' and 'perfect'. Especially when everyone's beautiful and perfect to begin with. :S The 'identical faces' problem is really interesting and sad too, and something I can definitely imagine happens. :S That show sounds really cool, if you find out what it's called and find subs for it, I'd be interested in watching it. :)

I have a problem with my nose in the sense that it's continually blocked and I have extreme trouble breathing through it. It's not normally a big problem during the day, but it's an absolute pain when I'm sleeping since it forces my body to breathe through my mouth which leads to waking up with a dry and unpleasant mouth, not to mention stinging headaches from pressure clogged up inbetween my eyes, etc. I actually had surgery done a couple of years ago hoping to fix it, but it's not done a lot of good. Well, things improved a little bit afterwards, although I wouldn't say it ever felt perfect or back to normal, but recently it's just gotten worse and worse. I wonder if I might have a nasal polyp, I don't know, but it needs to get sorted >:c

I've always been kind of interested in Ragnarok Online but never played it. XD I love the artstyle though, I might have to give it another look. And I'd play FF14 as well except I'm still playing FFX atm and... I'm still unsure what to think of it, lol It's fun enough that I'm still playing it but ugggggh the story and characters and japanese mannerism cliches... D| Damnit when is my Steam version of Trails coming out ;A;

Tiny Dice Dungeon reminds me of Half Minute Hero. I think you'd like that, Tae. XD

I heard that cosmetic surgery clinics in South Korea are usually much safer than in the U.S., but there's a problem occasionally with "doctor switching" where you pay for the good, expensive doctor but as soon as you go under they switch out the doctor for... well, a doctor you didn't pay for. D|

That is really freaky and unnerving. For some reason it reminds me a little of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance shenanigans... >w>; Is cosmetic surgery big in South Korea? I'd kind of imagine it is?

Booked an appointment with the doctor. Their next earliest available opportunity was on the 28th. Sigh. I remember the days you could book an appointment and go there in the same afternoon. Lames.

Hahaha 700 IC posts. I remember the beautiful days when we had 1700+. I think we must be nearing IC post 2500 actually... |D

I need to go see a doctor about my nose again, but the reasons that Buns has listed is the reason why I've put it off. It's just... ugh...

Post-GuildFall Restoration Project

The site itself is not what it used to be. It's not just a case of trying to restore spam, but the rest of the Guild as well, which has seen a noticeable drop in activity. If you were able to get site activity back up in general, then Spam is going to follow. It's only one subsection of the forum, afterall.

As for doing that, well... I still think the site needs work. It's certainly workable and serviceable but I don't think anyone would deny as a whole it has a lot of work to go. It still looks like it's in Beta stages. I'm aware that Mahz is busy et al, but I think if the site itself worked to feeling, and looking more complete with some more features, then you might see more activity in Spam and the rest of the forum.

“Run, guys!” Estelle screamed to her friends, brandishing her sword and swinging the flame enshrouded blade in front of her, sparks dancing in the sky. “I’ll cover you, so g-”

“No!” Marcus gripped her arm, and pulled her tightly, throwing Estelle off her feet at the same time a waft of emerald light drifted into her body, making her arms, legs and chest, her whole entirety feel lighter. The emerald light then passed onto Don, Trixie and Selan, granting them the same agility enhancing strength as it did for Marcus and Estelle. Their step was lighter, the effort to move less, and ability to jump higher. They at least had a fighting chance of running, however-

“We need to run, Estelle!” Marcus chided the thrashing girl. “We can’t face him! Remember what happened last time!”

Estelle’s eye twitched, and she looked back to Gaoh, the man taking one monstrous step forward and lifting his charging cannon into the air, aimed at them. “I can take him.” Estelle replied. “I can take him now. We don’t have to run again.”

Marcus’ eyes met and looked into Estelle, gauging her own beliefs, and sighed. “We need to head for the tower, Estelle. The best way… quickest way to end all this is to just head for the tower. It’s the source of all this, I’m sure.”

With a huff Estelle turned her head to the side, pulling her arm free and beginning to run beside her partner. She look up, to Don, who was rising to his feet. “Don!” She shouted. “Trixie, Selan, let’s go!!”

Don turned to look at Gaoh again, hesitating, but sprung back into action immediately, scooping up Selan by the waist and throwing Trixie onto his shoulders. “RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!”

The quintet ducked down an alleyway and off the street, as a high pitched whine and beam of pure white energy burst through the street behind them, consuming everything within its path, and leaving nothing but ash and dust in its wake. The Pride ran as fast as they could, with Gaoh laughing behind them.
