Yep, I'd definitely have to agree in thinking it's probably Marvel's best film so far if not best comic book film too! So many good highlights.

Bring on GotG2!
A good GM who's looking for new players would be more then happy to provide a summary of past events as well as help new players with any questions they might have and helpfully working them into the IC. As others have mentioned, anyone who requires a player to read that much content beforehand is pretty sadistic. I mean, it might be nice and enjoyable for the player to do as they're going along and have joined, to see what's happened before and experience it on an entertainment level, but as something that's considered to be required reading, then generally no.

My rp has chapter summaries, a character wikia amongst more and I'm always happy to answer a player's questions. If an rp's open, fitting a new player in shouldn't really be too difficult.

“M-m-me and Marcus?” Estelle instantly blushed and took a step back out of recoil as she stared at Xandra and then Aria, before looking away, unable to make eye contact. She could suddenly feel her body growing much hotter and uncomfortable, and her cheeks felt like they were burning. “M-me and Marcus aren’t… er… like that… we’re just… really… good, um, friends… and… and…”

The bashful swordswoman then clenched her eyes shut and raised both her hands and voice into the air as she towered over Xandra. “No topic changing, Xan! We’ve gotta focus on you and your date! We need to make you super super pretty and wear a gorgeous outfit and knock Angel out, right Aria!?”

“C’mon, I think Rose should probably have some nice outfits! We could go ask her if you could borrow one, Xan!” Estelle smiled infectiously and grabbed the girl by her prosthetic hand, dragging her down the corridor, as her other clung beside Aria’s own. She leaned in close to the illusionist and whispered something very quiet and quick, too quick for Xandra to hear. “Er, Aria, I, um, wouldn’t mind some tips later… maybe… possibly…?”

She grew bright pink again and then sped up more quickly towards Rose’s room.

“Ah… Lute. Hello. It’s good to see you,”

The Cervantés heiress smiled upon seeing the good natured swordsman appear at her door with a large tray of fruit at hand. She smiled somewhat deviously, not even noticing the dull or numb pain that accompanied her ankle anymore after seeing Lute again. She gestured with her hands for him to enter.

“I see you’ve finally decided to come out of our bathrooms. You were stuck in there for so long after these last few days… Angel thought you might have had a problem with your stomach. We have some medicine for that, actually, if you need any. How are you feeling, Lute? Are you okay?”
Aliquam: Cervantes Mansion: Pool

Outside, the sun was positively shining upon the two girls relaxing besides the Cervantes’ pristine and sparkling pool. Both Trixie and Amy relaxed with their legs dipped in the pool and sighed with relief at the gorgeous sensation they were flooded with. After all the running they had done a couple of days ago (Amy in particular, whilst not running, had done far too much walking in her high heels then one should ever have to be expected to), it was a nice relief to just sit and rest their feet.

Trixie’s face and upper body moved in wild, exaggerated motions as she spoke to Amy with unbridled enthusiasm, her legs even kicking the water up at the surface, as Amy just looked back nonplussed. Neither woman were aware… that they weren’t alone.

Dun dun

DUN DUN

Something in the pool’s deep end moved slowly closer, and closer, their sight firmly entrenched upon both girls.

DUN DUN

The water made things incredibly blurry, but he could still them both well enough. Especially the blonde woman, and how well she filled that gorgeous dress of hers out. The woman that was a goddess…

DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNDUNDUNDUN

With an almighty crash, a figure erupted from the pool, causing water to splash all over the startled Trixie and Amy. Each second of their reaction was captured by their attacker, on film, as Simon took photo after photo with his super handy waterproof camera!

“Say cheeeeese!!

“WHAT?!” Trixie screamed. “CHEESE?! Where?!”
Heyas everyone! :D I'm in the process of repairing/replacing my keyboard and am using a usb one in the meantime. My lappy's keyboard should hopefully be quick and cheap to fix, just need to wait until Tuesday for the part to arrive. Until then, this awkward usb keyboard will have to do. I'll get to work on reading all of the posts we've got and then try and write one. :) Thank you guys as well for making plans and discussions to continue if I was unable to post, I really appreciate it. :)

Kestral said Basically you want someone to acknowledge you did something. I get that, but to call that common courtesy is silly. I mean, I join an RP to write collaboratively and interact through fiction; that in and of itself is my reward. Sure it's nice if I get a compliment, but that's not why I RP or submit a CS.

No, not at all. I don't require or expect people to read my CSes. Even if they did or didn't I would still read every other player's because again I think it's common courtesy and simple nicety. If they've gone to the effort of writing it out, then as someone who may be playing and rping with them it's a simple, nice thing to read their input and work.
Ahahah Buns we'll be fine for your chapter, seriously. :) We have the main gist of the chapter's structure figured out and some neat ideas for it, it just requires a bit more fleshing out with regards the opening etcetc. Seriously, don't overworry about anything. If you want any help on the kind of thing you might want to look for and consider with planning your chapter, then Rex might be able to help by showcasing what she's done (if she doesn't mind spoiling things for you). Her planning's pretty damn comprehensive and perfectly done. ^^ We can also chat more about it sometime over skype/fb etc.

Speaking of co-gm chapters, Kathi, Kei, I know you guys are going to be super busy with college and school, and before you've started it's hard to know how busy. But I was just wondering if you guys wanted to do one, whether seperately or maybe to make things possibly easier do a co-gm chapter between all three of us, or whether you guys would rather skip until Part 2. Up to you guys!
I say it only for your sake. There are some things nestled deep within my mind that no man or woman should have to see. Flee whilst you still can!

I'm in agreement with Jig... once again. Jig, stop... stop reading my mind, man.

It's honestly nice to encourage diversity and complementation between characters and their abilities/traits rather then have overlap, and reading character sheets obviously helps this out a lot. Personally I occassionally find it fun to sign up for an rp later then others and base my character and their sheets on aspects not covered by other applied characters so that my character could help accentuate those characters and offer conflict/complimentation to them. I agree with Jig in that I wish more people either did this or at least try to differentiate their characters more to existing characters within the rp other then create a character that is a duplicate in a lot of instances.

Also, I'm actually a little bit stunned at Kestral's comment about sometimes not reading other peoples' character sheets. I mean, yeah, a lot of the time what goes into a person's character sheet ends up being different to what comes out within the IC, but I still find it a common courtesy to actually read what all other people have written, even with something like that. I mean, I'd like to hope they'd read mine.
