Cuttersbury: Streets

And they were off! Leaving the Guild together and waving Eli goodbye, The Pride set out on the two hour long trek towards their mission’s destination, giving ample time for Jett, Quentin, and any of the others to pick up on any of the supplies they might need. She still wasn’t sure of either of the newbies, and thus hung close to Moira and Marcus as they moved, but this wasn’t her mission and thus not her decision to make with regards to them. And first impressions were only that – first impressions. They might not actually be so bad when she got to know them… maybe. She could remember how terrible she was when she first started as a Guilder as well. Granted, that was only a little over a year ago, but she was sure she had improved since then. Even so, she’d stick a bit close to her friends on this trip, and a bit further away from the weird energetic freak…

“S-so Tobi,” Estelle tried to perk up herself, by starting up a conversation. “Where exactly have you been all this time? How did you and Nani meet up?”

“Me and Nani…? Haha, well, that’s a story and a half…” Tobi threw his head up and laughed, as one hand rested on the hilt of his gunblade. “I was actually planning on catching up with you guys after my wound healed up and Tabul was repaired, but I kind of got sidetracked on another mission to help stop some nefarious villain terrorising a place.”

“Oh? And how’d that go?”

“It was a success, of sorts. Got lumped with a hefty package afterwards, though.”

“Wait… the villain wasn’t…” Estelle turned to look over her shoulder, her mouth dropping into an ‘o’ shape.

“Nani. Yeah. Hence… the mentor and student…” Tobi’s shoulders sagged. “It’s not that bad. …most of the time…”
K, I'm so utterly sorry to hear about Riley. :( I know how terrible and hard this is and I wish there was something, anything that I could do. I'm on fb/skype always as usual so if you need to talk, I'm here. Don't worry about missing posting or whatever, it's fine, seriously.

I'm gonna catch up on reading the posts now.

I think the better question would be "Do you understand what the setting is?"

This. Fantasy can grow to include a many great deal of things that doesn't need to be limited to just the archtypical medieval, dungeons and dragons, tolkien esque settings.

My rp is fantasy based and yet includes all the wonders of swords, magics, cars, trains, phones, televisions, lasers, mechs, dinosaurs, the works. :P
Rapid, I bet you were a bit surprised to see Varren pop up, huh?

I don't know if anyone's said this before (I'm not one to sift through thirty pages, as interesting as this stuff can actually get), but this ticks me off so much. When you try repeatedly to make contact with other characters (ie: talk to them) and they ignore you. Mostly in group roleplays. Maybe it's just that my characters can try to do this at a bad time, but it still makes me mad. Like, you talk to everyone else, and now when I step in and try to make conversation, you're suddenly going silent and just doing your own thing. Then again, it might be my fault for trying to talk to people at the wrong time of a roleplay, but still...

This can be annoying, but sometimes it's just a case of a roleplayer not noticing/forgetting. That said, if it does happen, just mention it in the ooc and ask the other character's player about what's going on. If it's a genuine mistake then I should think they'll correct it. If it's not then... the rp has a problem that needs to be solved.

Communication can solve anything.

Cuttersbury: Guild

Estelle’s brow twitched in agitation and disbelief at everything the bizarre man who had thrust himself upon them was doing, aggravatingly so. Guilders don’t lie? Of course that was true, however it didn’t mean speaking your mind about anything and everything. Still, she got slightly flushed about the comment made by Jett that she was beautiful, but then remembering everything else he had done so far, and watching the way he which he presented himself towards the Guild Secretary before automatically inviting himself back towards them resulted in Estelle feeling that same aggravating ire again. Her brow wouldn’t stop twitching.

And then the other man in the robes and shades proceeded to introduce himself as Quentin Theopolis, and asked the Pride to call him Q.T. And after he had just tried to hit on Marcus, as well!

What was it about them that attracted weirdos?

“Hahaha, you’re an amusing man, Q.T.” Marcus chuckled without missing a beat at the ridiculousness of the man’s speech, even going so far as to offer his hand for a shake. “You’re quite right, I am a mage. My speciality lies in manipulating wind, although I am also beginning to slowly practice controlling ice. What about yourself? What do you specialise in?”

“I don’t even…” Estelle shook her head, turning away from the scene before them and trying to catch a breath. And then, all of a sudden, he was in her way again, pleading for her to allow him to accompany them on a mission!

“Hey, it’s not my mission to give!” Estelle huffed and looked away from Jett, instead focusing on Tobi. “I don’t even know what it is! But… if you need help, Tobi, we’re always welcome to assist. These other two guys though…” She quickly glanced between Jett and Quentin. “I can’t take responsibility for them.”

“Ahahaha,” Tobi laughed, chuckling at how fortuitous the situation had grown for his old friends. He knew all about the Pride’s longterm mission in searching for the Guild leaders of Clockwork Town in order to deliver a very valuable letter, and was in fact a bit disappointed at first from the seeming look that they hadn’t succeeded so far. But when he thought about what the nature of his mission was, and how it added up together with the amount of time it would take Eli to search through the Guild’s files and find the relevant information… well, he found the perfect way to help the Pride and make up for his inability to have joined them earlier.

“I would be honoured if you could come help me, Estelle, Syed, everyone. Even you two as well, Jett and Q.T, if you’d like to accompany us.” Tobi grinned. “As Eli said, this monster infestation is pretty severe… they’ve got a lot of numbers, so having you guys along for the ride would certainly help me and Nani out.”

“What kinds of monsters are we talking about?” Asked Estelle, looking at the marauder inquisitively.

“A certain nomadic species of monster that likes to travel underground and steal peoples’ belongings. They can be pretty tough little critters for newbies. Very tenacious, also. Ever heard of Varrens, before?” Tobi’s face then turned incredibly jolly. “Anyway, it’s not so much the monsters you might be interested in, but the place. You guys are going to love it…!”
Holas everyone! Just gotten home so I haven't caught up on any of the posts yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so and seeing what you crazy cats have gotten up to. :)

Have fun on Friday, Rex! Let me know all about how it went, okay? Although... *narrows eyes at Ryan kissing your forehead*
