I don't think Fox really minded. XD You could have had them wherever, be it in the streets, the colloseum, gardens or somewhere new. But it's also okay not doing so! In my next post which I'll start in a bit after I've had a think about it, I'll at least decide where my char's groups are :P The way the groups are set some of the characters will be repeating locations they've been in anyway, I'd imagine. Of course, things will be somewhat different now...

For the next few days we'll just explore our demented new surroundings and then I'll set something up for everyone.

Outside Thaum

Spin spin spin spin

The giant fox’s pair of enlarged scissors sailed through the sky, slicing the air in its path and aimed directly towards Lisette and Aria. Lisette’s arrow had hurt the beast enough to derive its ire, and now the beast wanted to make sure no such further arrow attacks could be possible. Permanently.

The blade shined over and over again as it reflected the light shining from Amy’s gem and Estelle’s Fireblade, not to mention the intermittent flashes of lightning above. Lisette’s eyes widened, there was no way to avoid that in time…!

And then he appeared again, sidestepping in front of the younger and shorter girl, a confident grin spread across his mud stained face, fearless of the somersaulting scissors. His arm was outstretched to the side, his palm wide open. And then…! Something else flashed in the sky above…!

A giant greatsword fell from the heavens, and with his right hand Don snatched the blade by its handle and swung it out at the moment of truth!! A loud twanging noise echoed from the clatter of the two blades, and with the momentum of both the great sword’s fall and Don’s swing, the pair of scissors was sent flying away from both Aria and Lisette, spiralling through the sky again over the participating fighters, to land harmlessly out of the battlefield.

“Heh,” Don coolly grinned, as the greatsword slipped out of his hand and similarly went flying through the air again, somersaulting and becoming embedded at Dylan’s feet.

The bro turned around, thumbsupping Lisette and Aria. “Never fear, sises! When Big Bro’s around, you’re always be protected, and that’s a prom… prom… pr…!”

An unnaturally giant shadow eclipsed the sky above, preventing any light from the cascading lightning to pass. The light from Estelle’s sword and the various magics being used were reflected off some monstrously giant shape above them, a giant shape falling from the sky… that landed completely on top of Don, mere feet away from where Aria and Lisette stood, the entire ground quaking with terrific force as the earth itself shuddered. Aria and Lisette gasped.

“M-mister Capuello!” Lisette’s hand fell over her gaping mouth.

“Are you… are you serious…?!” Aria echoed.

It clapped its fins as if waving at them whilst a fountain of water spurted forth from its blowhole. It whistled cheerfully.

Meanwhile… the battle around against the giant Fox and the multiple branch twisting Treants continued, whilst the sky relentlessly continued to pelt the Pride with fish and aquatic sea life of all varieties. Despite the danger and multitude of distractions, she wouldn’t let it get in her way. If they threatened her… threatened her friends… threatened Marcus, then…

"Maybe someone can go for it's eyes? Or it's feet perhaps?" Atlas suggested, as the magician handily dodged another thrown boulder whilst Lute did his best to distract the giant Fox with his powers. The distraction, as annoying as the ringing noise was in the ears of those closest, did enough to slow the Fox down for-

“Done.”

A trail of flickering embers marked the arc of Estelle’s slash, as her feet landed on the muddy ground behind the giant Fox, blood erupting from a newly formed gash on one of its legs.

Hey everyone, I'm going to start working on a post now. I hope you all have a terrific day and I hope those people who are feeling sickish feel better really soon, and best of luck on any possible tests. Danni is also suffering from internet problems, which will hopefully be fixed soon. ^o^

EDIT: And posted. I aimed to incorporate Dylan and Aria in it since Danni and Kathi have bad internets/exams.
@ Captain Jordan: The 15,000 word comment is obviously a massive overexaggeration, but ignoring that number I think Holobunny brings up some interesting points.

Outside Thaum

Estelle and Don both looked on in utter disbelief at the bewildering sight that greeted them on the trail towards the mountains. In the brief flash of light that preceeded a deafening roar of thunder, they saw… they saw a fox, holding up a camera, taking photos of them. Before Estelle could break out of her stutter to properly find any words to speak with, the rest of her friends had started to chase after it, trying to capture it in order to wrangle some information out of it. Efforts that were easier said then done before the fox suddenly turned back upon them, growing in monstrous size, the flashing camera in its paws transforming into a giant pair of snipping sheers.

This night was just getting stranger… and stranger…

Another crack of lightning and the echoing cacophony of thunder. The rainstorm above grew more frenetic and intense, the raindrops growing in size and painfully pelting the Pride from above. And the size of the raindrops just kept growing bigger, and bigger, until…

“Ow!”

One smacked Don painfully on the head, almost knocking him out. Gripping the back of his head and gingerly rubbing the soreness away, his eyes widened in incredulous, disbelieving lengths as he looked at what had landed on the ground in front of him after bouncing on his head. Flopping about, its tail slapping the wet muddy ground and its wide eyes staring back at him, Don simply could not believe it. It was… it was…

“FISH??”

Amidst some of the rain droplets was the falling of fish of all sizes and varieties, collapsing onto the ground with a dull thud. One particular fish spiralled through the sky, slapping Lute square in the face and sending the virtuoso to crash painfully on his back. Opening his eyes, he saw the face of true horror staring back at him, and he let loose a small yelp.

Meanwhile, the giant scissors wielding Fox took a step forwards, the ground trembling beneath its feet. The metal of the scissors glistening from the flashing lightning. A mischievous laugh escaped the giant Fox’s lips, and it dashed forwards with frightening and unpredictable speed. Trixie, the closest to it, automatically hopped back on her feet and started racing back the way she came, past Lisette and Aria. Both of the girls braced them, the mud below their feet making it difficult to gain traction to turn and run, as the sharp edges of the scissors snapped shut towards them…

And then both women were yanked from behind, their bodies tumbling backwards and collapsing into the mud, as the blades sailed harmlessly over their heads by mere inches. In-between them was their saviour, Don, whose eyes continued to stare with bulging fright at how much of a close shave they had. And then a fish from the sky slapped him in the face.

“No running!” Estelle yelled, brandishing the new sword she had received from Tiberius after the destruction of her Magitech sword in the battle against Lucifer. She held it in front of her, firmly staring their giant, preposterous opponent down. “We take it down, beat it up and make it tell us where Marcus is!!”

Sparks suddenly circled the length of the steel blade, and then the sword erupted into pulsing flame. Estelle charged forwards.

I'm gonna start on a post now c:

EDIT: And up c:
As Dervish said, this is a massive overgeneralisation, but I do agree to an extent. Advanced standards may only be a minimum of 2 paragraphs, but there's absolutely no ceiling to this, and posts can be as large as possible. The same can be done in casual, but this is far more frequent in Advanced where some players just seek to overindulge in meaningless detail simply for the sake of length and thinking that this is better, when it's not. Of course that's not all of Advanced however, but still in my experience a fair bit. And yes, it can be a chore to wade through. One thing I experienced that annoyed me to no end was when players regurgitated scenes from their character's perspective, essentially repeating the same thing as everyone else that really added little, with maybe a sentence or two of 'new' content to react to on top of that. Reading the same thing 7(or whatever)+ times in lengthy posts is boring as hell.

Personally, I run an rp in the Casual section that has daily posting of around a paragraph to 3-4 per person depending on the scene. It helps with character interaction and rp pacing so, so much better and generally makes it more manageable to read and catch up compared to long streams of text. The use of character banners etc helps to break up the text too and make it easier to read and digest. Now, I'm not sure whether or not it's 'purer', but what it does mean is we excise a lot of the meaningless drivel and waffle, get on with the story and character interaction, and make it easier to read/keep up.

And on a brief side note of collabs: I hate them. Collabs do, in my experience, kill more rps then it helps benefits. It ends up slowing activity down to a crawl when the rest of the group have to wait on two or so players back to back pming/posting (unless they endeavour to get it all done together, but rpers write at a different rate and speed to each other, so this can still take forever) and I also dislike how it 'bars' other players from really interacting or joining in on a scene that people are collabing on. And again, even though it's essentially two posts in one it doesn't help the fact that these collab posts tend to be monstrous in size too, which is a turn off for me. They can be done, sure, but I prefer a far more regulated posting rate in the IC where activity can be better maintained.
Guys I loved all of your posts way more then should be physically possible. My god.

Thaum's Square

Estelle retracted from Atlas, looking towards her friends with a wary eye, before taking in a deep, lungful breath in the hope of calming herself down. The others were right, panicking wouldn’t get them anywhere, but she would still regard Atlas with unease. No matter what he said, his story sounded no less then fishy… and until she found Marcus again, she would continue to be suspicious.

None of this made sense.

“Amy…” Estelle turned to the blonde tressed cleric. “Could you heal Atlas, please?”

It would do no good for him to continue being injured or as disoriented as he was from this strange hammer attacking assailant. And, maybe if his head didn’t throb and hurt so much, he might be able to finally talk some sense. After that… after that he could lead them to wherever this attack had happened.
A short time later, the Pride’s journey had begun. Amy had, with some level of begrudgement, followed Estelle’s order and used her talents to heal the man. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on the real origins of that blood, the majority of Atlas’ dishevelment and wounds were not severe, so it didn’t take too much of her healing magic to repair. Which is good, since she wished to save it more for the others, just in case they were the source of all that blood…

Atlas led the group at the front, with Trixie by his side, her nose hung high in the air, her nose twitched again and again as she sniffed the air. The Guilders had yet to leave Thaum, still walking throughout the town’s deserted cobblestone streets, passing quaint house after quaint house, with the luminating lights within starting to turn off one by one as their citizens fell asleep. Night was beginning to settle deeply.

“Ah, you don’t need to sniff quite yet,” Atlas laughed, his hand still gently rubbing the back of his head. “We need to leave the town first… it’s on the trail to the mountains.”

“Atlas,” Estelle perked up. The black coated man turned to look over his shoulder to the swordswoman, her fingers still drumming along the hilt of her sword. “You mentioned before you were attacked by these… things. Do you remember now what they were? Were they all…” She didn’t want to say bears with hammers. The idea sounded absolutely stupid.

“Hmm, I…”

Suddenly the Pride stopped, as the streetlamps around them flickered off and on. Estelle’s eyes shifted up to look at them, as they flashed continuously. “Weird,” She muttered. “Something wrong with the electrics, you think? Not that it’ll matter once we’re out of town. Amy, do you think you’ll be okay with providing us ligh-”

At Estelle’s request, an arc of light shot through the black sky above. And then-

KRAKADOOM

Estelle’s question was rudely cut short by the sound of a tremendous cacophonous din echoing all around them. And both the lightning and thunder were only a precursor to the rainstorm that followed after them. A violent downpour that would only drench them.

“Oh… come on!” Estelle moaned.

The Pride’s soaking was shortlived, as with a wave of Amy’s gem, an invisible barrier formed over the top of them, droplets of rain bouncing off the top of the invisible sphere. Amy’s brow furrowed.

“Let’s… not waste time, alright?”

The Pride nodded, and moved on after Atlas’ lead. Trixie’s cheeks puffed out in displeasure. The thunderstorm would not make sniffing out that evil criminal cheese mastermind any easier!
I'm gonna start writing a post now ^o^ I hope you're all doing great. c: Some really interesting and cool movie choices. Clue was such a fun, fun film. I could watch that again. Tim Curry <33333

I generally prefer tv too, simply because it's longer and you can get more engrossed into the characters and story. Like Danni said those, most outstay their welcome and end up harming the whole of the series. Bar the Wire. The Wire is AMAZING. Seriously recommend it to everyone.
