Tae crossed her arms, looking the man in the eyes, trying to read his intentions. Why would a man like this one want her to break into the Golden Cat? Not that Taegan was against robbing a place like that, but what did this guy have to gain from this? He was clearly better off than most, and rich enough to afford the Cat's... services. The Golden Cat had the potential of being the score of the century, provided the intel this guy offered was any good. Plus, he wasn't hiring her, really, he was simply giving her information in exchange for her promise to rob the place. Normally, she was hired to steal certain keepsakes or "borrow" valuable items, but he was just asking her to steal whatever she wanted for herself. Certainly, he was setting her up. What if he wasn't, though? She would be denying herself a fortune if she turned him down!

"Why," she demanded.

"Because there are holes in the security, and they need to be revealed. No better way to bring change than ruin someone's business, right?" he replied, clearly nervous. She considered his answer for a moment. He was definitely hiding something, but she didn't care enough to find out what it was. That answer would have to suffice. Even if she did get caught, she wouldn't be worse off than she already was. The rat plague had definitely lowered demand for those with her profession.

"Fine. What's your information?" she asked. The man visibly relaxed and held out a piece of paper in reply. Tae accepted the paper and watched as the man walked away. Unfolding the paper, she rolled her eyes. It was blank. Not that she cared, she had already made up her mind to rob the Cat, with or without the man's information. It did leave her wondering why he had done this, though. Did he really think a thief on the street had any worth to her word? She chuckled a bit, then crumpled the paper and shoved it into her pocket.
Character Name: Taegan Abney

Age: 20

Appearance:
At little more than five feet tall, Tae doesn't have much of a physical presence, but it serves her well. Many would say that she's just skin and bones, but she would argue that there's a little spite in there somewhere. Tae has bony fingers and defined cheekbones that can be attributed to poverty. Her visible collarbone and rib cage would also attest to this. She has sullen brown eyes and wavy orange hair. Tae's wardrobe consists of a pair of dirty overalls, a once-white tank top, and a denim blake cap.

Personality: Tae is an incredibly private person, for someone who doesn't have any real privacy. She thinks herself very clever, and is not unwilling to show off. Nine out of ten times, she responds to serious questions with jokes or dead silence. While she believes she has a talent for pushing people away, she is remarkably bad at telling anyone to go away, so she often ends up sharing space with about a dozen people every night. She enjoys the company, but is not a fan of all the questions constantly asked of her. She avoids nobles as much as she can, but is not unwilling to assist them with questionable matters for a reasonable amounts of money (read: any money at all, I am starving). Tae also has a bad habit of giving money paid to her by nobles to children begging on the street.

History: Taegan's parents went missing when she was fifteen. She doesn't remember why exactly they left, but she vehemently believes that it was her fault that they didn't come back. She waited for them to come back until there was no food left for her to eat. Tae wasn't sure what exactly she was supposed to do with herself, so she wandered for a long time. At this point, she wasn't sure how she was going to get more to eat or where she was going to sleep. Admittedly, wandering away from her home was definitely ill-advised, but she was certain that her parents were not coming back for her. Eventually, she found herself searching through garbage for anything that even remotely resembled food. She was willing to eat anything. Much to her dismay, she couldn't find enough to silence her growling stomach.

"That's not gonna get ya anywhere, hon. They save their scraps for the dog," a voice laughed. Tae turned to look at the source of the voice. It was a dark-skinned woman with at least one ring on each finger.

Tae scowled. "Thanks."

The woman held out a silver coin and smirked as Tae's eyes widened. "The proper response was 'Who are you?' By the way, the answer to that question is 'Your new employer,' " she said, retracting the coin. Thus, Taegan learned to steal from the woman who would employ her up until she was captured four years later.

Skills: She has had five years to perfect her thievery, and she is rather good with a knife.

Likes: Money, warm meals, quiet

Dislikes: Questions, old people, nobles

Other: "So, how old are you?" "Older than you and younger than the earth."

Dunwall faces many hardships in the recent months, not the least of which being the plague. The empress's murder definitely did not help matters, either. A few citizens remain skeptical of the Lord Regent's story, but there is not much that one can do about that, is there?

Blisters? Jeez, what does Dash work as? Or is it from something else?

She recently started a factory job where she sort of puts together dog tags with pesticides along with ear tags for cows. I really don't know all the details.

I don't think Bee will be around much this weekend, busy with life stuff. Once she's back and able to post, then I'll be able to post.

Alright, that's fine. Dash has blisters on her hands, so she won't be posting much for a while, either.
"I'm sorry, Press. I honestly don't have any more information, and I won't until Mr. D comes back. If he comes back," Chiron said.
Addie could hear the counselors downstairs talking with Chiron. It was like they were talking through a pillow, though, so she couldn't understand any of the words. It was now too late for her to just leave the Big House. She'd have to wait until they all cleared out, even Chiron, before she left. If she wanted to avoid getting in serious trouble, that is. Addie hadn't been here before, and she'd never really thought about going into the attic in the Big House before. She, of course, knew what it was used for, though. Even if she didn't before, it would've become obvious now. There were dozens and dozens of things lining the walls. Most of these things were pickled monster heads and dented shields, but there were a few things that drew her attention. For example, there was a set of fuzzy dice. There was also a sword hilt that said, "This broke and Leroy got killed. 1999" Wandering the attic, there was only one other thing that caught her attention. The Oracle.

A mummified woman sprung to life, looking right at Addie. "I am the spirit of Delphi, speaker of the prophecies of Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python. Approach seeker, and ask."

"No, no. I'm not even supposed to be up here. I'm going to be in so much trouble, as is. No way am I talking to you," Addie responded, shaking her head. "Nope. No friggin' way."

The Oracle then lit up, and began blowing a green gas into the room. "Oh gods, I broke the Oracle. Oh no, oh no, oh gods what am I going to do?"

"Seven of divine blood will be called,
The light of the gods will soon fall,
Gentle war must roar,
Or else Olympus will be no more."

"Shit," Addie said, having frozen up when the Oracle spoke again. Her eyes widened, and she sprinted down the stairs.

"Chiron!"
Chiron made his way to one side of the ping-pong table, looking at each of the demigods as he passed them. He hated the idea of having the entire camp confined to their cabins, especially the kids in Hermes, but he couldn't see any other way to protect them. There wasn't a lot he could do, since it was a demigod that did this. He drew in a deep breath as he tried to find the words to address them. Luckily, Press spoke before him, so he needed only to answer the question. He often found that much easier to do than give a speech.

"I am afraid we're here for a matter that greatly affects both our camp and Mount Olympus. Several of the gods' symbols have been stolen," he paused. "As a few of you probably already know, only a demigod could be responsible for this, since the gods cannot meddle in each others' affairs. A few of the satyrs and I will be searching the possessions of campers and interrogating them if that is deemed necessary. I would prefer that you all keep the exact circumstances quiet, but please inform the other campers that searches will be conducted. Thank you. You are all dismissed,"
Okay, so either Dash or I will make a post as Chiron either later today or sometime tomorrow. I've just had some technical issues, and Dash has been really exhausted from working late.
Why'd you post such a large picture of some blurry lens flares?
