Carson's head was pounding, "What the hell is happening?" he thought to himself. Just then he heard the sound of flames coming to life, like when you turn on a blowtorch. Turning his head he idly heard "I can't die." from the girl, but that didn't register as much as the fire spiraling out of her arm. Putting his hands in front of him, Carson said "Holy shit! Are you ok? Do you need to go to the hospital?" It was amazing to Carson that she was coherent or showing any pain, maybe she was in shock? At his words the girls face curled in confusion, but otherwise she just pointed her hand at him and unleashed a great ball of flame.

Using his reflexes Carson leapt out of the way but the resulting explosion flung him a little further than he wanted, landing face first into the pavement. Carson tasted blood shortly after and began to blindly search for something to protect himself, with the clack of high heeled shoes getting closer. The woman stepped up to Carson and said, "If its any consolation, I'm sorry." As flames collected in her hand once more Carson found something, a hunk of concrete broken off the sidewalk. Panicking, Carson absentmindedly filled the hunk of concrete with the energy from earlier and swung. Hitting the woman right on the temple and causing her head to explode.

Shock filled Carson as he saw the body slump over, not because of the blood but because how could someone do that? Whatever this weird ass tattoo was it was bad. Shakily, Carson got up and limped back to his apartment before any other crazies showed up. He needed a drink.

Pulling apart the iron was easy, if not a little tiring. One could say it was therapeutic, the squeal of iron as it bent was highly pleasant to him. 9 was dissapointed to find that another prisoner had began to open the doors, but with that taken care of he took stock of the situation. Most of the others had left, except for the man who smelled of decay and had a weird looking chest. Giving a quick scan of the body 9 found out it was a poison. Having nothing to cure his ailment, 9 continued on his way and hopefully that he would make it out alive.

Stepping out of that terrible place, 9 found himself in a massacre. The guards never stood a chance. They were burnt, crushed, gored, and dead. 9 ignored the smell, there is nothing to be gained in eating right now. Lumbering his way across he saw a familiar sight, the antler one. She had been there since before he had arrived and the tortures he felt through the air were almost as bad as his, maybe. At first he just wanted to get the others out, but now seeing her struggle to move awoke a feeling in 9 he hadn't felt since he was back in the nests, watching over the eggs. The elders had always said that 9 was a protector, that he would bring down all that threatened them. He failed that, his friends were dead and he was lost.

He wouldn't fail again. Lumbering up to the antlered one, cutting down an insolent guard along the way, 9 put himself right in front of her. With arms and talons spread wide, 9 let out a warning roar to scare off any would be attackers. After a few seconds, 9's eyes began to glow as he sent a message to the antlered one.

"Do you need assistance walking antlered one? I can carry you. The sound came simultaneous with his hissing and low rumbling growls as he remained in an aggressive pose, trying to scare any would be attacker off.
Hello?
Any body got any ideas on what to do for my next post?
Ok, finished Arios.
I chose the Mershark because why not?
Name: Elizabeth "Liz" Smith
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Alternate Form: Sharkmaid

Appearance:
Liz is above average in height, about 5'10 and is about 156 pounds when outside of her shifter form. She has an athletic build, with defined muscles that come from frequent exercise and as a consequence to being outside nigh constantly, Liz has gotten a modest tan. Her womanly assets are average, leaning more towards a pear shaped than hourglass. Liz's head is dominated by wild, light brown hair that seems to have been cut with a sharp rock rather than a pair of scissors. The mark that runs across her cheeks and nose came from nowhere shortly after her first shift, she thinks it looks cool so doesn't worry about it.

Shifter Appearance:

In this form Liz grows to be about 10 feet, give or take a couple inches, and ways about 700 pounds. However she rarely goes full shift since while her bottom half grows, her pants do not.

Abilities:
Strong, tough, and a wizard when cooking fish. Liz has spent a large majority of her life in and around water, as such swimming is second nature to her and even out of her shifter form she is extremely fast in the water. Other than that she is incredible on a surfboard.

Powers:
-Increased sense of smell
-Electroreception, senses the electric current within living things
-Underwater breathing, only when in full shift.
-Increased strength, strong enough to bend iron
-Tougher than a regular human but far from bullet proof
-claws and teeth, can be summoned without going full shift
-Emphatic connection with watery predators.

Background:
Born and raised in Hawaii, Liz has always been a creature of the sea. Spending hours upon hours on the beaches and gaining her fair share of sunburns, the little girl couldn't have been happier. Her parents had a solid marriage, fights rarely happened, the surf shop was making steady income. Life was good. However when it was time for a little Liz to go to school, she hated it. The kids were mean, they couldn't swim, and they all thought surfing was for boys. She was so mad that she punched one of the meanie heads in the face because he made fun of her surfboard she brought for show and tell. After that, Liz's parents got her home schooled instead. Liz liked home school much better, Miss Leona was way cooler than Mrs. Bitters and the other bullies in her school.

Miss Leona would be her only teacher up until her high school in which afterwards Liz didn't pursue any other form of education. She had everything she needed, she won a lot of surfing contests and her job at the family surf shop was guaranteed. Plus she knew everything there was to know about surfing, from how to stand to how to make the things. Everything was going well for Liz, life was never any better. She had sun, waves, and a family. Well, that was until the shifters started showing up. Whenever someone became a shifter the government would swoop in and they would be taken away, only to see them as some sort of poster child or something. When Liz first shifted she knew that they would come for her soon enough. Liz didn't want to be a killer or some tool that some government general could point in any direction she, she valued her freedom far to much to let that happen.

Giving her family a tearful goodbye, Liz left her parents and her home behind. For a long while she swam, getting used to her new body until she had almost perfect control over it and quite frankly she fell in love with it. She felt so powerful. Being able to swim faster than most boats, leaping out of the water at breakneck speeds, forming her own shiver of sharks. It was all quite exhilarating and while she missed her parents dearly, she was happy. Fast forward a year and Liz found herself in Australian waters, deciding to settle down for now, Liz began to live as just your run of the mill beach bum. Fishing for food, getting a minimum wage job, buying a new surfboard, and finally hitting he waves again. She was living the dream again. Sun, sand, and waves. Liz was back in her own groove and feeling confident, sent a postcard to her parents telling them she was ok.

Things calmed down, Liz hadn't shifted for months and she had some semblance of a "normal life". She even began dating and while she didn't actually meet anyone she really clicked with, you couldn't blame her for trying.

Personality:
Liz is highly individualistic, valuing freedom over pretty much everything. With that in mind, Liz has a bit of an authority problem and will push the buttons of any leader she feels is unworthy or overstepping their bounds. This has caused problems in the past and will inevitably cause problems in the future, but she will stand by them to the end. However she does know that freedom can go too far and is usually the first to call someone out if they abuse their rights. When their aren't leaders to tease or people in need of defending, Liz is fairly laid back and carefree. She seems to have no ambitions, which is kinda true. Liz is just simple, if she has sun and waves she is happy. Finally Liz fully understands the power of promises and secrets, should she be told a secret she will keep it as long as it won't endanger anyone else. The same goes with promises.

Other:
Liz doesn't want to admit it but the smell of blood makes her extremely hungry.

She has suspicions that she may be a lesbian. Whenever she tried dating boys they just wouldn't click with her, granted she hasn't tried going out with girls but she is finding the idea more appealing as time wares on. For now she doesn't dwell on it too much.
Mahz said @Pathfinder: I have a very interesting way of meeting up with Alpha. He was very interesting and I'd like to see him be roleplayed. I could see us visiting Hydra-4 in the RP one day. However, I don't recall seeing Gortex anywhere in your bio, unless he's part of your 'hidden history'.

I still have some kinks to work out but I was going to plan that he doesn't even know who Gortex is, but its going to involve him hurting the Hydraxiens. They might not like Alpha, but they are still family.
Here comes the drama! I'll probably get a post done either tonight or tomorrow morning.
@GuySenpai I seem to have ninjad your post. Sorry.
