It surprises me that the documentary directors led one big mistake slide in their documentary about the Ottoman Empire - the Janissary uniforms were not red, but blue (during the childhood recruitment phase they were red, but as full fledged Janissaries they wore blue wool).

I'm not even going to talk about the Byzantine soldiers and the armor.

Now it claims Mehmed changed the name to Istanbul, even though it would be named Kostantiniye til the late 19th-early 20th century.
