I keep coming back here very so often, as if it would make my wanting to return any better. I don't know why that would be. I would just disappear again and regret it again, I'm sure.

I'm just... really in a bad time. I feel awful. I'm don't think I have the strength of will to show my face here again after letting everyone down.

"Attention, all officers. Report to the officer's lounge in one hour and thirty minutes. We have business to discuss about tomorrow..."

The final announcement over the intercom made Greyson suppress a groan. Yes, he was a navigator, but the captain already had a navigator as his right-hand man and practically best friend. When it came to local area planning, there surely wasn't anything that required Greyson's 'expertise'. But then, the washed-up adventurer quickly reminded himself, he would be nothing more than another one of these wild dogs being led into danger half-blindly. That was the reason he had lobbied for his position as an officer: so that at least he'd have a medium of control over this tub so he could not die so quickly.

Giving up on finishing the remnants of his food, Greyson hoisted himself out of his seat, only bothering to pick up his tray as an afterthought. One of the work-hands scurring about bumped into Greyson, and he in turn handed over his dishes before he made to leave. Somehow, Grey managed to take his time, inching his way through the throng of scattered chairs and remaining rowdy vagabonds.

One pair of tables had a ten-some of the loud-mouthed men, all rambling and laughing about some various stories. Another end table bore the likes of a cowboy, two mechanically-modified women and a ferret - half of them were smoking. Farther back from where Grey was had what seemed to be one of the ship's engineers, calling out for some pet named Dorkface. The ferret, he guessed. Wordlessly, Grey inched past one more latecomer looking for a seat and finally exited into the hall.

He was at least going to get some shit from his room first.
I was just quietly waiting for my next round as I would normally do. It always does feel odd to suddenly see threads become so mute.
@Vash

Nnnnice.
A work in progress, mostly complete but lacking a few details.
EDIT: Added hangar craft. Refer to the 'R-type Command/Tactics' section when referencing craft.
EDIT2: Added preliminary major crew-members. Ready to play, will be expanded later.

I'm here, I'm here. I'm just having a hard time deliberating over my primary choice of ship, since it lacks a lot of essential details necessary for the RP (like defined crew / crew size). I could easily just make those up so the ship is fit, but then I'm worried about how balanced the craft is.

Maybe I'll throw out a WIP sheet to test the waters.
Seems fine to me.
...bleh. Don't mind me, I was going on autopilot and still reading the posting list.

Which reminds me, that list should be updated. Also considering we lost two players, we can also bring in ClocktowerEchoes after this battle.
Damn-! Lora seethed in witness of the shot's yield. The particle cannon had easily taken off the lower end of Macabre's free arm off, but at the current standings it did little to impede the foe otherwise. With thrusters and sword arm still well intact, the ultra-light Frame lunged forth to hack at Caliburn. This wasn't going to get much batter anytime soon, Lora dreaded...

Regardless of the threat, Caliburn stood its ground, raising the shield in anticipation of Macabre's melee assault. The flurry of Visceral's slashes hit harder, the shield's reinforced armor plating unable to withstand the ferocity of each slash. As Caliburn's guard was broken by the over-sized katana, so too was the left arm on which the shield was mounted. Tit for tat, then- until Ryan followed up with a jarring knee strike that slammed Lora's Framewerk in the torso, pushing them both a few meters.

Somewhere below the two dueling machines, one of the glue mines detonated.

Lora was surprised and slightly horrified when the Framewerk's legs were unable to move as she commanded. The skirmish must have set off one of the mine, which now left Calibunr at a yet greater disadvantage to the more agile swordfighter. That thought, however, only lasted until she too realized that Ryan was stuck in the same trap, struggling to move and break free from the sticky substance. It left Lora with mere sweat-laden moments on how to proceed, fighting an enemy that still has a serious weapon superiority over her. How could she ever turn the tides to her favor...?

Her left arm was crippled, which meant she had no chance of stopping that blade. The secondary weapons system would take to long to arm, even if it would be effective at this point. She was able to use the Lighstriker like a blade or spear, but that risked ruining the weapon for the rest of the battle (never mind the fact that Visceral was far stronger anyways). That only left the missile system, but the missiles were weak, not suited for fighting a typical Framewerk.

Two blips zoned in on where Lora and Ryan were held down, and Lora realized she had to act now. Left little better option, the pilot gunned down the trigger button for both launchers, sending six missiles rocketing toward the opposite Frame. Against Macabre's ultra-light armor, perhaps this truly was her best chance yet.
@Leolycan
It usually takes me anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to type up a post, depending on distractions and/or looking at the other posts/sheets for reference.
No, I did run several kilometers into Zone C before turning around and skidding. Still not near the center, but deep enough into the area to be at risk of triggering a mine.
