I love how the Greeks turned on the Coalition, only to launch a futile landing onto Italy. It will really suck if the Allies end up losing even after they switched sides.

So..is this the largest Blockade in history to this point?

It depends on how far the blockade extends. The Union's blockade of the South, if it happened in this RP, might be bigger.

I'm telling you guys. WiR: 2011It's the Arab Spring/Occupy Movement

The modern world has too many restrictions. International laws, laws of war, treaties between a lot of countries that prevent them from either joining conflicts, or realistically fighting one another (like with NATO). A lot of the fun in these roleplays comes from going to war with other players. It'd be really hard to do that in a modern world (at least realistically).

The only way I see it working is if it's done with an alternate history where all these restricting treaties and laws don't exist, or do but not to the extent of RL.
This sounds interesting, but it's hard to judge without knowing what the mechanics are going to be like.

Not certain how feasible it would be, but a Rome in Revolution could be fun. Take control of a Roman family and such to become Caesar.

The Precipricks (the group of dudes I came here with, who run Precipice of War) actually had an idea like his a long time ago. The idea was almost exactly that. The history was alternate, where Pompey won the civil war against Caesar. Pompey would have been dead (from suspicious circumstances) at the start of the RP, though, and the players would take control of Roman families. I don't remember what the goal was supposed to be for everyone, but I think people were to supposed to be free to do whatever. So they could simply serve Rome, support someone trying to fill Pompey's spot, or try to take it themselves. This was in another forum. I started writing an OP for it but support quickly went to shit and I decided it wasn't worth it.
I would consider Austria. It's important, but at least the entire RP isn't on my shoulders as it would be if I chose to be Germany.

If a 1900 WiR starts German Empire time

The most important nation in that setting? Are you crazy? It would be too much pressure.

When this WiR ends, which won't be any time soon, and if Outcast would be willing to GM/Co-GM with me, I could restart WiR 1900...

I would love you.
I'm thinking of joining as Sweden, but I'm still not sure if I will, so don't wait up on me.
I wasn't completely serious about "recreating the Persian Empire". I meant more like.. play an Iran trying to become dominant in the Middle East again.
