I don't want Germany to be weaker. I don't even care about the lands Germany took. I jokingly bitch about it every now and then, but I couldn't care any less about in the end. I'd just like to see an RP where everyone has options, and isn't dominated by Germany and Netherlands. It's not just that, but the way you went about accomplishing it. You lied, tricked, and otherwise bullshitted your ways to where you are now. The war of the Eighth wasn't won on the ground, in IC. It was won outside, in OOC, when Boerd tricked Sol into thinking he was better off surrendering. That single act won the war for you, and triggered a domino effect of buddy-buddy that propelled you two to the top.
I don't want to bring it over to this place, but you were the ones who escalated the argument. Is it really bad that, for once, someone is standing up to you two? All this time, you're fooling people into bullshit alliances, giving up their navies, ect, but the one time someone stands up to it, it's too much to handle? How about you acknowledge that everyone agrees with what I was pointing out (maybe not to the T, but generally), and strive to make changes for the sake of the RP? Instead, you silence all complaints and go about fucking up the balance of the RP. No one benefits from the way things are right now, but you.

If you're serious about attempting another Greek colonization effort (which you shouldn't be), then I'd suggest waiting until after the conference. Otherwise you may step into an area already claimed by someone in the conference, and in doing so you'll undermine the whole thing and get put on everyone's shitlist. And seeing as the conference acts as an agreement between the nations to not colonize areas claimed by others, you can bet that if you end up stepping on say.. Germany's toes, no-one is going to come to your rescue when Germany opens up a can of whoop-ass on you. Same goes with any nation attending the conference. The nations in the conference will recognize the claims made in the conference over those made by Greece on its own.

I don't think I've gone a single turn without changing my mind about something and notifying Outcast that I have tweaked the orders around ;P I do tend to make better decisions after I've thought things through for a few hours, so a lot of the things I do end up getting changed after a bit of thinking.
My viewpoint is this: Khalifa is easy to control. But you do make some good points. Maybe I'll change the order a bit if it's not too late.
I read Barghash was anti-European though, whereas Khalifa worked closely with them.
EDIT: Also, the revolt Khalifah caused came as a result of letting the Germans keep the coast of Tanzania (which Zanzibar owned). That wouldn't really be a problem here since I'm taking both the islands and the coast, as well as the rest of Tanzania (with time).

@Kho: The dude in charge of Zanzibar right now is pro-Slavery. The guy after him is too, even though he's credited for "helping bring about abolishment." To be honest though, it sounds like he didn't have a choice because the British were breathing down his neck. He seemed like a bit of a douche too.
But no, there is nothing more to it. I just don't like half-assing posts. Making short posts kinda bugs me too, so I try to avoid it when possible. I went back and saw that Nex did his thing with the Ashanti Empire without having to declare war IC so maybe I can avoid doing it too.
The ultimatum is basically this, if it matters: "Yo, mothafucka, step down as Sultan and let Khalifah in yo place (cause Barghash sucks). If you don't we'll bomb yo ass out of your palace. Either way, we're here to free some slaves and take yo assess as a protectorate colony."
