What the hell is up with the OP banner..? Wouldn't the Spain/Ethiopia/China badge be more fitting?

EDIT: Oh, it rotates. Well.. It's weird that the first thing I see is a dude's head impaled on a spike.
It's not.
I 'been lurking this thread, and...

‘I will shake my little finger and there will be no more Tito,’ Stalin remarked. The expulsion effectively banished Yugoslavia from the international association of socialist states, while other socialist states of Eastern Europe subsequently underwent purges of alleged "Titoists". Stalin took the matter personally and arranged several assassination attempts on Tito, none of which succeeded. In a correspondence between the two leaders, Tito openly wrote:

Stop sending people to kill me. We've already captured five of them, one of them with a bomb and another with a rifle (...) If you don't stop sending killers, I'll send one to Moscow, and I won't have to send a second.
—Josip Broz Tito

Doesn't sound like the words and actions of two good friends :P

To make my visit here a little more legitimate, I will say I may consider joining this. Even though it's not how I usually play NRP's.
My opinion on suicide is rather simplistic. And I'll admit, probably ignorant.

To me, the concept of suicide is infuriating, if anything. Particularly with developed countries, where some kids commit suicide for some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard. So I've never really felt much sympathy for people who contemplate or commit suicide. I do wish it could have been prevented. It's a life, after all. I believe in helping people through their hardships before it's too late. But I don't really feel bad when they commit suicide.

As an Atheist, I don't believe in an afterlife. So when you end your own life, it's over. That's it. You have only one life, life is precious. So life is almost always worth living. Especially in developed countries. Like, I can imagine some person in some 3rd world country who lives as a slave and goes through REAL suffering daily, with no way out of it, contemplating suicide. And in that case, I can almost understand. But I don't really get all choked up when some teenager slits his wrists because his school mates were tough on him. Life is almost always worth living, no matter what.

But maybe I'm just a shit person like that. And I've never been through real depression, so I can't relate.
o.

Well, I saw something similar on the Reddit front page when I poked my head in there earlier.

I see you frequent Reddit.
Just mention a few you wouldn't mind playing and I'll state how I feel about it. I'm not really sure what you're looking for so I don't know. But there's plenty of free nations without much established canon.
I have the same concerns as Aaron. Your track record has been kinda shit, to be honest. I don't even remember a single thing you've done as any country, because you've never stuck around long enough to do much. I'd be more comfortable with you going with something like Belarus. It's similar to Poland, at least in that it's Slavic and on the border with Russia. But it's not important enough (at the moment) that I'd worry for it too much.

But that's not to say you couldn't make something good out of it. It has potential, especially with the cluster-fuck that is Russia sitting next to it. As Belarus, you'd be neighbors with hands down the biggest pot of potential-gold in the PoW world.
It was a shooting in Simferopol. I'd give you a link but I'd rather you look it up yourself and decide which source you want to believe. But a search will yield several results. They all say more or less the same thing. Russian troops stormed a Ukrainian military base and the Ukrainians fired back in self-defense. One killed on both sides (though I have seen Ukrainian casualties listed as two in some places) and several people were wounded. Some Ukrainian soldiers were captured as well, including a Colonel who I believe has since defected to the Russian side.
Tatar man was found dead with signs of torture, as well.
