I'm talking New England :P

As in, Northeastern United States. Where everyone has funny accents, the buildings look like they've been there since the pilgrims, and the streets can't fit cars. And everyone thinks they're Irish.

But New England has the same problem, so it still applies. Global warming, at its extreme, would make my home state sink.
I'm a New England-er. So I'll probably just end up moving to the Northeast again in the future. Cold enough up there I think.
I might possibly look into it. If enough people get involved.
I want to move somewhere snowy and/or rainy too. Not the rain you get in tropical areas though. Fuck that. All that rain does is make the rest of the day disgustingly humid and sticky. I mean a place where it rains and then stays nice and cool.
Statistical improbability doesn't matter here. It's a danger. To you, and everyone around you. When we're talking about the chances of a mass-extinction via massive meteor or something, then yeah. We can shrug it off as improbable or impossible to prevent anyway. But when we're talking about societal issues that affect you and everyone around you - that we can prevent - it's different. It's selfish to think you ought to be allowed to drive without a seat-belt, simply because you think the chances of you flying out the windshield and causing further harm and damage are few. Prevention is a real necessity, and a priority. We don't ignore dangers to society because "eh, it's unlikely". And we don't wait for something horrible to happen before we decide "You know, maybe we should have some preventive measures."

You might think something is improbable up until the point where you or someone you love is the one in danger. Then you'll be wondering, maybe even outraged, as to why no-one ever took preventive measures. And suddenly, lawsuits. Lawsuits everywhere. Or worse, you die.

So let's not wait for horrible shit to happen before we put safety measures in place.

As a half-joking side note: Being someone who studied, practiced, and is soon to graduate as an EMT, I'd prefer you didn't fly out the window. Makes everyone's job easier. And you know, less chance that you're dead. That would suck. For you and me.
I think the collapse of the Austrian monarchy had something to do with the rise of liberalism, too. But so far I think it's fine. It makes sense that the people would be tired of the war.
I look forward to it, yo.

Fine, I'll have plans for Romania. And I have .

Not very legitimate reasons, I see.

My plans for Hungary already involve Hungary getting some land, anyway.

I hate to come off harsh, but we really don't like it when players have an expansionism mentality. It never leads to anything but nonsensical land-grabs. And it gives off the impression that they're playing like this is a strategy game, and that's exactly what we want to avoid. This shouldn't be played like a strategy game. You should be trying to tell a good story, not make your nation more powerful or one-up everyone else.

It doesn't really show us you're creative enough to make a good story happen when your first thought is "I'm going annex [insert country]". Much less when your reasons for it are flawed and based on recent events in our own life. Hell, even Putin had more reason to take Crimea than "It's mostly Russian".
I'm advising against it simply because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Hungary to try to take Croatia. And we've had a lot of weird things happen in the past, which we've had to de-canonize because they were silly. So we're trying to avoid similar things from repeating.
Ya'll need to drop the senseless expansionism before I take you both out, mothafuckas.

But really, try not to look around you and decide you're going to annex every neighboring country smaller than you. Try to make it make sense. And think of the repercussions. This shouldn't be played like you're playing Civilization and going for a Domination victory.

EDIT: Plus, it'd be nice if we all didn't annex all the remaining countries. We want there to be a lot of options for new players.
