Personality:A human time bomb if ever there was one, Kanika spends much of her free time actively seeking
out smaller Grimm to fight(often unarmed 'for sport'), and on rare occasions even picking fights with normal predatory animals. when she is not picking fights with wild animals, she is training or play-fighting with her team. beware the girl, however, as she is easily agitated and gleefully violent. in spite of her temper, Kanika is quit prideful of the fact that she is, as some might put it, adorable, and doesn't mind being mistaken for a child. At least so long as it doesn't effect the way a person treats her.

Background:Originally part of a nomadic tribe of traders in Vacuo, her family made frequent visits to a fishing village known for its unique dust-infused pearls, a surprisingly valuable commodity, bringing with them clothing, weapons, and equipment not normally available to the tribe. once she was old enough to enroll in one of the hunter academies, she moved to Vale, passing the Beacon entrance exam fairly easily.

Weapon Derivation: Strong side fist, Ballistic fist, IMI Desert Eagle chambered or .50 action express (really damned big bullets)

Form 1:A pair of gauntlets with a studded striking surface/pressure plate on the knuckles. on each side of the forearm section is a specially designed magazine, the magazines are curved in such a way as to increase capacity while also lining up properly with the firing mechanisms. when in use, spherical tungsten carbide shells encase Kanika's hands, going from the back of the wrist to the front on a segmented hinge. the guards are mounted on a pressure switch, so when they impact an enemy, the twin guns discharge simultaneously.
Holstered/Sheathed appearance:the magazines fold down and to the sides, then into slots on the underside of the gauntlets, while the firing assemblies and barrels slide back and down, fitting flush with the top of them. the fist shells simply collapse back into their place on the wrists

Features/Capabilities: assorted bullet types and dust augmented rounds

Usage: Kanika uses a variant of the South-African Dambe style of boxing, utilizing swinging strikes, direct punches, and spin kicks. Punching triggers the guns to fire, delivering what is effectively a pair of electrified shrapnel grenades directly into the opponent.

Notes: terrestial combat oriented version of the characters original weapon

Semblance:Acceleration, boosts the rate at which her body and weapons gain momentum by roughly 10X when activated, while this has a much higher boost limit than a typical speed semblance, it is much more draining and carries higher risk of injury.

Fighting style:Dambe. Google it, and don't mess with her, she will ruin your day in the worst way possible.

Notes:She's based on the oceans deadliest crustacean, the mantis shrimp, the smasher variety in particular. Her first name, Kanika, is a kenyan name meaning black cloth, while Rutto is a kenyan surname that, as far as I can tell, has no distinct meaning.

Team order is unrelated to partners. (JNPR is Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren) the only confirmed rule for team order is that the leaders name is the first letter of the abbreviation, so changing the team name to meet CNR, as long as the leader stays the same, would have no impact on who is partnered with who.
