Oh, yeah, there is no real "Elite Four" here. It was tournaments like the Anime. "Champion" is still a logical term to use for the winner, which is why I did so.
Is that the "history" you prefer yourself? I'm willing to hear your own opinion on the matter. ^^
Through PM, sure. It's not really appropriate to advertise, however innocently, another's RP in an OOC.
It was the end of 6 long weeks of constant battling and Sebastian was relieved that this would be his last battle. Of course, he had fun, but he and his Pokemon were growing weary, if only mentally. There was no doubt how pampered he and the rest of the contestants had been throughout the tournament. As he rose in the ranks, the services and goods provided to him only increased. Sponsors from across the world offered him money and merchandise. He'd become one of the most well-known Pokemon trainers in the world, as well as the top 8 Trainers. His opponent, however, could have arguably been the most popular.

He couldn't judge such things accurately and he cared little for fame. He loved Pokemon and rush of working with them to overcome struggle and difficulties. It was only a game to him, a game he could play very well. His Pokemon were equally adept at the game, if only because of him. It was lucky they allowed only 8 Pokemon in this last battle since that was all he had acquired throughout his years as a Trainer. His bond with each of them was strong and intimate. They cared deeply for each other.

The crowd cheered over the announcer when his name was called and his achievements listed off. Sebastian waved modestly but walked determinedly to his spot on the battlefield. The domed arena with an open roof was more than full. Most patrons resorted to standing in the aisles despite the fire and safety hazard it caused. The large field of the arena wasn't utilized completely. The grassy floor had a standard-sized court to battle upon. At least ten more could be lined up next to it and reach the walls of the field.

His opponent was called to the field and a roar equal to his own overwhelmed the announcer until she was comfortably within her square. He bowed slightly to her and waved warmly. A smile could be seen on his face. He respected his opponent, knowing her skill in Pokemon battling if only from the tournament itself. It seemed like a half-hour, but the regulations of the battle could finally be communicated clearly with the din dying.

"Welcome Pokemon Trainers to the Grand Pokemon Championship!" The crowd blasted once more. "After six weeks, the top two Trainers have been determined! We've seen them battle scores of Trainers from all across the land and in many different styles! And because of that, this battle will be like no other! Rules will change from round to round and the Trainers will have to keep focused to not be disqualified! In addition, the use of items have been banned for this battle! Only the strength and endurance of the Pokemon themselves is to prove the victor this day!"

The crowd continued to cheer and whoop. Sebastian was not aware how complex this battle would be. Thinking about it a little more, he could see why they were to battle in the largest arena where no battles were held until now. The other arenas had various themes to them but this one seemed to have none. He expected the floor to move under him and change the environment from time to time. This invigorated him with an excited anxiety. He looked around the arena and the people with a slight smirk on his face.

"The first round will be a Single Battle. However, the Pokemon you choose will be chosen for you!" The crowd erupted with shock and invigoration. "Sophie, you will battle with Dusknoir! Sebastian, you will battle with Bisharp! The substitution of Pokemon is also prohibited for this battle! And," he added, "if a Pokemon is knocked outside the square, they will forfeit the round!"

The announcer paused and Sebastian took this as the time to release his chosen Pokemon. A few moments passed as he re-evaluated the court and realized how small it really was. But he shifted his body and Bisharp emerged from the Pokeball on his belt. The announcer called the beginning of the battle when both Pokemon were present on the field. "Iron Defense!" he called out, knowing his Bisharp was slower than Dusknoir.
Oh, first I wanted to discuss something:
Would they have crossed paths while he was competing in Kanto? It says she was a runner-up. I was thinking he remembered seeing her and would have lost to her the first time and then when he challenged it again, she was not there and he won. Or it could have been when he beat her. I didn't have a time in which he became the Champion. Did you have a time when she was? Just something to throw in for greater intrigue.

EDIT: Well, that was longer than intended...>.>
I love the character you've given your Froslass. I would love to see mine and yours battle. T'would be amusing. ^^

Well, I'm glad we have similar tastes, then. :)
We can talk more about it in the OOC. But if we go as far as tertiary, this is what I'd have my Pokemon be. Tell me if you disagree with any of it.

Bisharp: Steel/Dark/Fighting
Breloom: Grass/Fighting/Poison
Masquerain: Bug/Flying/Water
Shiftry: Grass/Dark/Fighting
Ninetales: Fire/Psychic/Ghost

ok how does this party look now. i will argue to keep my glaceon knowing Shadow ball. According to Bulbapedia, it can be taught to Glaceon using a TM. Also, after hanging out in a party of all ghosts, it is fitting to have glaceon learn a ghost move to fit in. other than Glaceon with Shadow ball, i have fixed the problems you addressed. Also, traded a Mismagnus for a Golurk.Sophia RavenAge: 21Hometown: Celestic TownBadges: 18 Notable Achievements: 1 time Sinnoh champion, runner up Kanto championFirst Pokemon: EeveePokemon:Spirittomb (Pressure)Shadow Ball - Dark Pulse - Dream eater - Rock tomb - hyperbeamnasty plot- hypnosis- confuse rayGengar (Levitate)Shadow Ball - Dark Pulse - Night Shade - Dream RayToxic - Confuse ray - Hypnosis - Destiny bondDriftblim (Aftermath)Shadow Ball- Fly - Ominous Wind - Hyperbeam - Explosion amnesia - Baton pass - Double teamDusknoir (Pressure)Fire punch - Ice punch- thunder punch- power up punch - Shadow Punchdouble team - disable - foresightFroslass (Snow Cloak)Shadow Ball- Ice beam - wake up slap - Blizzard - powder snowhail - swagger - protectGolurk (Iron Fist)Shadow Punch- Earthquake- Mega Punch- Powerup PunchProtect- Double Team - rest- TormentChandelure (Flash Fire)Shadow Ball - Flame Thrower - Dark Pulse- Hyper beamSunny Day - protect - confuse ray - pain splitGlaceon (Snow cloak)Ice beam - Shadow Ball - Hyper beam - Blizzard Hail - yawn- protect - double team
I'm ignoring the idea of TMs and even the fact of taught moves. I did not explicitly say this, however, so I apologize. Allow me to explain.

Technically, Ninetales cannot learn Shadow Ball. However, due to lore and characteristics, I feel Ninetales is a Fire and Psychic type, at least at a pseudo level. It could also be argued that it's a Ghost-type as well. Because of this, I believe Ninetales should be able to know Shadow Ball.
(Note: I think Ghost/Psychic/Dark types/moves overlap to some degree due to the characteristics of such Pokemon.)
Another example would be something like Gyarados learning Flying moves because it's a Flying-type. Now, I would consider Gyarados to be Water/Dragon instead of Water/Flying, allowing it to learn the more powerful moves such as Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse rather than Flying moves (which it can't learn).
It makes physical sense that Spiritomb would know Rock Tomb considering it's made from a (tomb) stone.
It also makes physical sense that Dusknoir would know those elemental punches considering his fists and his Ghostly abilities.
In the case of your Glaceon, I agree that it would be interesting that it would have been able to learn Shadow Ball due to being around Ghost types for such a long period of time. I think it would also be interesting if its Shadow Ball was icy or colder or just a different color in respect to its innate type.
So, overall, this takes a more creative spin rather than competitive. Limiting a Pokemon while considering what it could be extended to.

Going with this, would you be interested in changing Pokemon types to fit their physical characteristics and their lore? For example, Ninetales would be Fire/Psychic, Dusknoir could be Ghost/Dark, Flabebe line is Fairy/Grass.
We could go further and give tertiary types. Ninetales is Fire/Psychic/Ghost, Spiritomb is Ghost/Dark/Rock, Gengar is Ghost/Poison/Flying, Shiftry is Grass/Dark/Fighting, etc. (But this would only extend to those it can be argue for and agreed upon and not provided for every Pokemon.)
Furthermore, moves like Light Screen, Reflect, and Double Team will have different applications in this RP than in the Games (more toward the Anime).

But some more "critiques":
- Is Gengar's "Dream Ray" supposed to be "Dream Eater"?
- Did you have a purpose for Froslass' Wake-Up Slap? Was it supposed to combo with your Hypnosis Pokemon?
- You seem to like Hyperbeam and Protect each as much as I like Double Team xP

But anyway, it looks excellent. I'll make the OOC soon. I'll try to have a post up tomorrow. :)
Sorry that took me so long to respond to. :/
