Let's see if I can run one of these strange and wondrous forum RP's after years of instant messaging, eh?

The character sheet is reasonable, I see no outstanding flaws from my initial reading. Maybe just a tad log winded in some aspects, but it is apt. I'm very much so a minimalist when it comes to these sorts of formalities, in honesty xD

But it seems fine to me, nothing too strenuous.
Oh my, this has a very interesting feeling to it. I'd be interested in just keeping up with the OOC/IC at the very least, but should there be open slots I'd gladly file in when I have the chance ^~^
Aww, I'm sorry to hear this Bing. I hope everything clears up for you soon enough! Being hyper-busy is never fun for anyone in the history of ever.

As for you Chanda-- your suggestions are undoubtedly welcome. Assistance offered in good faith is always a good thing, from my perspective, and we do share some opinions on this front. Magical powers/abilities/skills sections aren't really there to categorize characters so much as help keep their particularly useful talents In mind and help keep them balanced. Limitations, to an extent, are rather useful as well!..although I certainly don't want to push for hyper-harsh ones either.

Inventories are just damn convenient.
Hmm...You all do have a point, and I certainly didn't intend to get as involved in this debate as I have xD To be honest, I'm more amused and arbitrary than I am siding with one or the other. Either way the roleplay shall get up off the ground in the end, should we all co-operate.

...pff, snide remark about 'four' pages? Even I can't pull that off with all my snarkiness xD

Why would a creature that relies on agility try to enter a battle of strength instead of simply dodging/parrying and counterattacking unless it's backed against a corner and can't feasibly use his agility to escape or somesuch? Doesn't this just mean casters have a far more reliable defense than noncasters? Sure they don't get to deal damage back when attacked but they can always use their main stat to add to their rolls, like I'm saying everyone should be able to.

If we resort to using dice we are willingly throwing caution to the wind and relying on luck, except for the few occasions he said he may mandatorily use said dice. However, as per his previous post he also said he might very well torch the entire dice mechanic and skip over it entirely. Of which I have no comment on.

Have no fear: being the butt of a few jokes [read: all of them] among my friends has turned me into a masochist. I'm able to laugh at myself far more than I should...

Welcome to the club, we use the back door and discreetly offer snide remarks to others comments whilst maintaining casual distance.
The very same thing I put into the debate earlier myself, ser Keia of house Vewyx.

Ser Hamster and I seem to use dice rolls similarly xD I often use them behind the scenes when making roleplay decisions and whatnot, and I myself am surprised that it became such a focal point as well- but I can understand why. Even if used minorly, it's best to understand something rather than slam on brakes halfway through a post to go 'did I do that right?'
Oh dear me the complications have arisen. My vote's personally on use the mechanics as little as possible, but then again I'm but a mere phoenix amongst big people.
I am predisposed towards naturally agreeing with our current game overlor-- I mean, resident friendly roleplay provider-

In all seriousness, since the 'die roll system' is portrayed as, for the most part, unecessary, I find it to be something... Not worth really altering or adapting beyond what the GM wants. Which Ser Hamster so happens to be taking into his own accord and creating his own, which is appreciated for those of us new to die systems/too arbitrary to bother learning them-

In any case, it's likely the last thing we should worry over xD
I think I understand what you're aiming for. The stats are there if needed, but are not the main focus whatsoever. Necessary should things get out of hand, but if we behave like responsible little roleplayers then things will go along just fine anyway without ever having to use them- unless we are feeling particularly [masochistic/Mirthful/Bored] and want to leave things to fate.

I for one found your ways of describing the statistics beautiful. BITCH, I AIN'T DYIN' - Best stat ever. I'd buy that rulebook. xD

I am also highly amused that I found another individual who understands that bows and other such manpowered ranged weaponry require -strength-. The Strongest of bows (Human made, of course) Required a person to pull back over ninety pounds of power straight back and hold it there while they aimed and repeated over and over again. Elven bows tend to be the more peculiar flexibility oriented ones, but who likes elves?-- XD

For the most part it's just a logical use of 'my character does this, and this stat ties into it' if I understood this right.
Hunting dragons is truly a task that makes individuals rise above any ordinary knight. It also happens to be a task that mildly interests me
