Even if the Aburame are alive, the Hiden is gone. It's just a name.

The Kaguya most likely lost anyone who could have had the Shikotsumyaku, but there may be a straggler.

I could accept a Hozuki, albeit I would prefer a backstory similar to the specific family associated with your Hozuki sided with the resistance and thus settled in Konoha after the fall of Sai.

Even if some Kaguya were alive, Sai most likely slaughtered them all. They didn't exactly have strong village ties to become refugees.

You don't need to make yourself blind. I feel like that's too large of a drawback. But, the jutsu is acceptable.

A) There is literally a Konoha aviary. It wouldn't be beyond logic to have her with a simple hawk summon for messages/the jutsu.
B) You have Hiden. You have butterfly Hiden. Make a special butterfly if you want specifically made for this jutsu.
C) Creativity. This is a supplementary jutsu. How you do it is meant to be interesting and fit your theme.

I don't care if you use a bird or your Hiden, either way is fine. But keep to your theme.

You could do that with any summon. lol You're overcomplicating something. If you want the ability to see from a bird's eye view, you can go about it in many ways. The easiest would be an avian summon for sightshare or the third eye technique (or a variation)
