Santa gave a growl and a nod, as Rivers replied with a "Ho ho ho.", affirming that yes, that was the message he was trying to get across. As Santa got up, accepting the Mormon's hand he peered at Rivers. He listened thoughtfully to the concerns of the Mormon, before giving a simple shrug, upon the subject of the zombies. He kept a tight hold of his bar, as he turned his head glancing both to the left and right to observe the various stores, to determining which one would most likely have his sleigh.

"Hrr" he said as he pointed his bar with concrete down the hallway, and began heading that way. Santa cocked his head back as he waved with his left hand, gesturing for the man to follow.
Santa thrusted up his iron bar and concrete as he waved it rather enthusiastically, as he growled out something, along the lines of "Hrooo hrooo hrooo.", though with the mask covering his face, alongside with his eagerly rushed speed of the chant it made it quite difficult to tell. Yes, he did need a sleigh quite badly, how else could he deliver Christmas cheer without one? Santa kept waving the bar in the air, as he lowered it down to hip level. Adjusting his hat, which slid slightly to the right, he gave a nod to Elder Rivers, before giving a thumbs up with his left hand.
Santa listened on as Elder Rivers told the story of Joesph Smith. He stood there seemingly enthralled by the Missionary. Then again, having a mask made it hard to confirm such things. But one thing was clear, that Santa was infact still there and didn't leave. When there was the lull, there was a question that had to be asked. So Santa held extended out his left hand, first pointing his index finger at Rivers. He then held up his hand again with two fingers before shrugging.

Hopefully this terse question would be recognized. After all, Santa would not like to interrupt a missionary, well at least at this moment. Santa dropped the iron bar and began a short golf clap, and nodded at the man. After that Santa picked up the iron bar yet again, and continued peering at the man.
"I'm sure you are. ...Please tell me not on Baxter, 'The Bull' and his orders. At the very least tell me you aren't one of his goons." Elric said with a frown. "I'll be content, as long as he wasn't behind this." Elric stated pausing as he eyed the man up and down. "Say a strong looking man like yourself looks like you could enjoy a meal and a drink. Care for a meal? And I also have to ask, are you married? And of course I just want to ask again you aren't working for Baxter are you?"
Dude is a good friend with a member of Red Lock, he does have friendly relations with many of the Guards, and of course pals with many individuals of the community, and he constantly listens to everything regarding the community. Like how people talk about Remington coveting some dagger, acting suspicious... In general the size of the community is relatively small, interesting loot on a Gnoll, which Elric did take and probably did take a look at. Suspicious stuff.

Hell Elric is probably a trusted Underworld Broker. I mean, someone who constantly goes around listening to everyone, the wives in particular have many interesting things to discuss, hanging out with the community and taking a really close interest in it, and in general hearing stuff during surgery and a shave. And surgery does tend to bring... some more deviant clients, who have stuff they'd like to say, especially if saying it would lower the price it'd cost for Elric's services, and not hurt them all too much. Plus, ya know, having a good pal who is part of the most prominent, and sole, Thieves Guild in town, tends to draw up a lot of conversations over shady stuff.

"Hey Elric."
"Yes John?"
"Say, a couple of the boys are going to be stealing from the coffers of the guard."
"You know that is against the treaty that was established..."
"Yes, yes, but they already took loot from the bandits and didn't give us a friendly share. Just collecting what we were owed."
"Oh, well tell them not to hurt each other too badly..."
"Yes, yes. And before you ask, Emily is still engaged."
"... Drats, anyway how was the work at the forge today?"
*Elric and John continue to share the meal of roasted boar and discuss other matters*

You wonder why the Thieves Guild and the Local Guard are seemingly not advancing the struggle either way... Peace deals are important for the protection of the community you know. And it does seem strange, that the Guard would use their resources to specifically protect him, after all. Instead of the community at large. Especially without at least one of the chums saying, "Hey Elric you may not count on giving as much shaves for a bit." "Oh why is that?" "We are concerned with what the Gnoll attack, so a few of us are gonna be assigned to protect you. I don't think it'll be fore that long."

Doesn't mean he knows Remington works for the Empire, or anything in too many details, just that something in general is up, and he'd very much just like to cut to the chase.

Definitely not going to say that "I knew you killed Kyril!" and the like. Besides, knowledge won't help him in a physical encounter against Remington anyway. If anything, the fact that he brought it up, just made his job easier as he doesn't have to fake being a loyal guard now, and can hand over Elric to the Empire, and collect his pay.

My apologizes if it was too much, just seemed like something that'd help spur on Remington kidnapping Elric. So we can move with the kidnapping, and move onto the focus of the other characters. Speaking of that...
Now then, onto a matter far more important. James is going onto the South End, probably to give his daughter something nice....
I think it'd be quite lovely to see what sort of gifts he'd find there.
And of course fun things for Tirarian should happen as well.

Just in general it'd be cool for cool stuff to happen to the others. And I am interested to see how that'd go.
"Oh depends on what laws are being called upon." Elric explained, "Laws that are inherently immoral are laws that should be questioned, in an attempt to change them. Or the laws of foreign nations, those don't apply outside the holdings of the country." He said as he gave a little chuckle, "Oh but I'll say those were purely semantics for the sake of semantics."

After a decently sized lull of conversation, Elric wagged his index finger, "Now then, could we just cut to the chase, so to speak?" Elric glanced at Remington with annoyance, "We both know what is going on here, and as such I'd very much like to drop the pretenses that've been established."

He shook his head and again wagged his finger, "But before that, I'd like to ask you one question, did you think I wouldn't know?" He said rather displeased at the thought, as he frowned at the man.
Noted.
Santa was smiling behind the mask, it was good to see such a man care about the holidays. Santa peered at Elder Rivers as he unzipped a fanny pack and pulled out the Mormon Bible, and stuttered out another message. As he finished, Santa gave a quick nod, affirming that yes, he would like to hear about the word of Jesus Christ. Santa kept focus on Elder Rivers.
Santa kept a hold on the bar, and shook his head as Rivers commented on the bar and concrete. Santa waved the bar up and down with the right hand, illustrating the purpose of the device. Santa Claus paused as Rivers commented on the state of the tree. It was good to see that people cared about the holidays. Santa quickly reached down beneath the tree, and grabbed a small brown cardboard box, wrapped in red paper that had a few reindeer on it, the box itself had several dings in it.

Walking up to Elder Rivers, Santa offered the box to the man, while lowering the bar in his right hand, and keeping it towards the ground.
Why punch Elric in the eye?
