So I kind of stared blankly at the screen for a long time and eventually decided on the name 'Prosperous'. I'm not exactly sure why- I just think it has a nice ring to it. It holds no sentimentality, funny quip or entertaining anecdote. Alas, my role-playing name is as dull, uninspired and unoriginal as any you've ever seen.
I'll be honest, I don't really know why I'm here. I want to write novels, not flutter around in the literary world of make-believe. Please don't read that in a condescending tone; I genuinely admire people who can get two or more imaginations to 'click' and create a world together. I suppose that's why, despite my personal qualms and questions of my time-management, I decided to join this place. I like the idea of looking at the psychological triggers that drive writers and conspirators in literacy alike.
I want to try it too, and find a way to empathize with other writers, no matter their "level", and subsequently any readers.
So! I'm an eighteen (soon to be 19) year old girl from Australia who is currently undertaking a break from any academic pursuits other than my attempts to get in on a screenwriting degree interstate. So I have a lot of spare time, and a lot of words to fling out of my mind and onto a piece of paper.
I enjoy anything with a theme that hits home, and characters that you can almost taste. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I'd assume I'll levitate towards the advanced section of this place; and I hope to see some of you there.
If you can put up with me, I'd like to roleplay with you. See what this is all about, and whether it can help my lack of motivation and debilitating and (at times) crippling writers' block.
