His quirk requires a target to touch once his hands are charged with psychic energy. Upon touch, the afflicted proceeds through physiological sensations as though they are dying, though in all reality, they are hallucinating. The end result is the target is subdued, though conscious, as though they can still see in their "death." If he concentrates and builds a lot of energy, the target can be rendered unconscious for a time. The psychological trauma from the experience can scar one affected beyond the end of the encounter. He also is highly agile and reactive through physical training, so while not on a quirk-user's level, he can still get around if necessary. His physical strength is limited to quickly moving his body around as needed and he has almost no constitution. He is best suited as a "pick" hero - neutralize one or two targets by ambush, not unlike an assassin except for the end goal.

His favorite food is tuna sashimi and his favorite color is purple.

His favorite pro hero is Midnight (not for those reasons) as her powers and skillset are, at a high level, similar, with both of their quirks favoring a quick, physically painless end (even if Midnight's doesn't come with the mental trauma).
Not on me now. I'll go look for one. I can still make a light CS.

Lanestol seemed visibly relieved and loosened up tension once he saw Virum was at least alive. His healing appeared to work as his mending pained Virum, though not as much as it would have pained his bolder, short-sighted cohort to have lain around for months on end while the Stone-Turner crew went out adventuring. It took about 15 minutes before Virum was put back together as he was before, though he would still ache for a while longer where his injuries were.

"I would advise against attempting to take advantage of the planet's lower gravity like that again," the doctor noted. "Those injuries you sustained will still be tender for a day or so. Your body will have to pick up the final stretch before you're back to your former state." He reached out his hand to pull his shipmate back to his feet, satisfied he was revitalized enough to at least stand and walk the rest of their trip. He had also caught sight of Orky intentionally tumbling down the hill and dislocating his shoulder, though seemed glad he didn't have to step away from his more critical patient.

If this is the pace we're setting for our adventure, running the medical bay is going to be SO much fun...

With no further need for his services for the time being, he stood about a foot from the edge of the pile of trinkets. Clutching his own in his hand and finally deciding the gut feeling was his fear holding him back, he placed his necklace down at the outermost layer in the pile. As his hand separated from it and he stepped back, he felt a shiver run through him, though he shook it off as the initial recoil of the aforementioned fear. He left it in its place and receded to allow others to place their contributions.
Welcome to my IC. I try to be pretty chill about standards and welcome all lengths of posters.

About me:

-Mid-20s, RP'ed for 10+ years, currently work during weekdays. I have some access during the day, though more during evenings.
-I try to be on most every day. I will let you know if I have to be away for an extensive amount of time.
-English is my first language. I won't turn anyone away who isn't a native English speaker or who is otherwise still refining their English skills. As long as I get the basic idea of what you're saying, it's fine. Ask for help if you want it.
-I'm willing to play mature plits. There may be certain plots where I won't want to play with certain mature elements or any at all. You reserve the right to ask the same.
-Characters under 18 will not be involved in detailed mature events. Bad things can happen to them off-screen.

Each of the following preferred elements may be combined into one plot if you wish.

Settings

-Superhero/supervillain world
-Fantasy (high or low)
-Mythology (willing to pull from several different myths)
-Supernatural (can go in hand with mythology)
-Science fiction

Pairings
-Superheroes, supervillains or superhero x supervillain
-Supernatural beings or supernatural x human
-Demigods or demigod x human
-Shapeshifters or shapeshifter x human
-Hybrids or hybrid x human
-Anthros or anthro x human

Plots

Fandoms (willing to play combinations of canons and OCs; subsets of broader categories will be considered)

-My Hero Academia
-Marvel Cinematic Universe
-Batman
-X-Men
-Sonic
-Mega Man
-JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (can take place in either canon universe, though I have a Fight Club type adventure idea)
-Yu-Gi-Oh! (would like to explore the original King of Games world more w/o Duel Monsters being at the forefront - i.e. DM is on the same pedestal as other games)

Feel free to request anything not specifically listed as well as any modifications you would like to see to a suggested story or pairing.

--------------------------------

I have the following requests:

-Please PM me if you are interested and what you are interested in. Please include a preference order when possible. I'm open to plots and pairings I haven't thought of if you want to include them.

-Please write with decent grammar and spelling. It's fine if English isn't your native language. I will work with you if you still need to shore up more.

-Please let me know if you need a temporary leave or if you just don't want to play anymore. After 7 days, I will check in. After another 7 days without an answer, I will assume you don't want to play anymore.

-Please help with the story. Neither one of us should take it over. Someone to build with equally, rather than having one person take over it and the other just playing along. You are free to include your ideas and flesh out mine more.

The only requirement:

-If a game will be mature, it must go to PMs. Otherwise, it may go to a thread or PMs, whichever you would prefer.

If I think of anything else, I will bring it up with you. Feel free to ask questions if you want any clarification before committing. It's okay to back out early if you think you're interested, but decide you're not after more thought.

PM what you would be interested in.
"I think if one is going to be laid to rest here, they ought to be properly laid to rest. In a hole. Erosion is barely a thing here, if ever, so it would likely only have to be deep enough to cover them, though a normal-size grave would basically do it forever. I just wish they would have thought about that before dumping off their dead out in the open. They know people come here."

Lanestol was caught off-guard as Virium tripped and tumbled down the hill. By their guide's direction, he headed downhill as fast as was safe for him as he didn't want to become a second casualty on this excursion in such a short time. He kept one hand near the ground and leaned back as he made his way down so if he fell, he fell backward and could control his descent. He caught up several seconds after Virum stopped tumbling and came to rest past the base of the hill, a few feet from where the masses of trinkets began and, thankfully, still far enough away from the nearest body in the pile.

He knelt down to examine his cohort's injuries first. He took precaution to start healing him in case he was still alive. He thought he could sense a pulse at least, so he got straight to work. He could feel as various parts Virum broke on the way down mended quickly, as though the months otherwise required to heal sped up into within minutes. Broken ribs, collarbone fracture, wrist fracture, torn ACL...he had to work one injury at a time, though it wouldn't take more than a few minutes as he channeled his healing touch through his staff. He started work on the ribs first so they wouldn't pose a breathing issue.

"Can you still speak, Virum? Answer if you can respond."
PM'ed you if you haven't seen yet
Lanestol took a few moments to look around. At the surface, it only seemed there was dust along the ground - nothing as far as any life. Figured as much; if the captain had to warn about lack of air outside their temporary bubble, there was no oxygen to sustain anything that could grow or live, also lacking water and proportionate solar radiation. Their dome seemed a sufficient bright spot that lit up the ground's gray earth. He wandered around for a few moments before he figured all he would see aside from their destination was endless barren wasteland.

He returned to the captain, who the group was starting to reform around. He fell into the center, following the captain's lead with his staff at the ready if any surprises came up. Surprises usually preceded panic, which begat injury. He was strategically positioned in the group to help out any one person who fell.

"So, what are we looking for when we're seeking out this altar of tribute?" he asked the captain. "Are we looking for a marker of any sort or will there just be a pile of trinkets already placed there?"
Lanestol snappee back to reality as Marcus took a place next to him and asked about his necklace. He started to realize he might have become too fascinated with it to the point of navel-gazing.

"Oh, yes. I was going to sell it for supplies if we had more time on Vlana. I've only ever been told it's an heirloom. In which case, people may see it and know it. That aside, everything else is necessary for us. Though, I can't help but wonder what's trying to stop me from parting with it...like it feels dangerous to let it go."

His thoughts were cut short by their landing and instructions to disembark.

"Well, if it gets too bad, hopefully, I can trust the rest of you will help me. I will have to, in any case. And I do." He stood up to exit the shuttle and walk to the planet's surface, looking for a good place to leave his trinket.
Lanestol followed the shuttle group he was named to, containing Sir Gorcheck along with others he had seen either during his recent boarding or as they boarded the Stone-Turner. He took some comfort in Vincent taking on pilot duties as he had learned the drow elf was a pilot in his own right prior to joining. He took a seat in the shuttle headed for the planet's surface.

"Please do heed the atmosphere zone warning," he spoke up once they had boarded the vessel. "I haven't ever had to test my abilities on saving someone who was suffocating, freezing, depressurizing and irradiating at the same time. That's something I don't think anyone wants to know. That comes with the standard 'ounce of prevention' deal as well."

He took a seat amid the other passengers and pulled out the necklace he planned to leave on the planet's surface. He checked it out again, trying to deduce what was compelling him to keep it instead of leaving it as traditional tribute. He recalled being told it was an heirloom, though he could still justify leaving it. It would be something to identify him and mark proof of his pursuit of knowledge, especially pertaining to his home's epidemic. Everything else was consumable and necessary to help prolong their adventure, and for him, his time to search for a cure. He seemed entranced as he continued to stare into it.

Maybe it has some of the blight on it or in it and putting it down would leave it in open space to spread...or it's a ward to keep me from getting blight...except I've cleaned it and what else I have and I'm off that world, so that can't be it...
