Did you know? The Cheyenne Zoo recently had an exhibit on baguettes, rolls, and buns. According to a staff member, "These are our last species to ever be bread in captivity."

Interested!
Edit: Currently still recruiting
for interest. In-depth CS will be posted later!

Just for the most basic information needed:

Name (given):
Preferred name:
Age:
Appearance:
Power(s):
Weakness:
Blue Jay or Vigilante?:
Background:

Appearance and background can be to any degree of detail- vague, descriptive, etc.

Powers should be limited to one area, Ex. Someone who can manipulate fire wouldn't also have precognition. In addition, weaknesses don't have to complement the powers, so the same character wouldn't necessarily have to be susceptible to water or ice.

Blue Jay or Vigilante refers to who the character wants to align with- there is a limit to how many can be pre-existing members.

Of course, feel free to add anything else you find important to include!
The current state of the world:
America passed a no-tolerance policy for supers in 1979 that slates supers with the responsibility of registering themselves with the government. They can be subject to deportation at 18, restricted to certain jobs, housing, and even certain cities prohibit supers living within. Most supers are wise enough to keep their powers hidden and be a part of the non-super communities.
Almost every last developed country followed America's lead in the following years, only excluding New Alaska and Russia.
Last of all came the rivaling factions of supers. There is no 100% clear “good” or “bad” faction. The Blue Jays and Vigilantes have been at it for over 20 years, and it won't be over soon.

About the Vigilantes:
Founded in 1987, the Vigilantes work apart from the law to protect citizens and their rights, allocate justice where the law has failed, and most importantly, provide a sense of belonging in the harshly anti-supers society of modern America.
Joining is very straightforward but there are major restrictions that fluctuate from year to year. As of 2017, members must be 18 or older with no exceptions. It is also important for them to prove their loyalty, over time, to the Vigilantes and to the United States constitution; their ultimate goal is to create lasting legislation to protect the population of supers and re-integrate them into society as equals to non-supers.

About the Blue Jays:
The Blue Jays cropped up long before heroes. Some say as early as 1940, super criminals ran the inner-city streets, but their history is uncertain, even to their own leaders. The Blue Jays, the largest and most notorious gang of supers, have existed since 1984. Recruitment is highly selective, and they will contact new supers for further application- you cannot choose to become a Jay directly, but to accept or deny membership if it is offered.
Their master plan is to overturn America, putting in the hands of supers, whom they believe are strictly superior to non-supers.

What does it mean to be a “super”?
First of all, congratulations. You have found yourself among the 5% of the world who has powers unlike any humanly abilities. Like it or not, they're stuck with you for life. You do have a say in what happens to you, though. You could move to New Alaska, the largest legal super community in the world. It's expensive, though, and the US government still monitors everything you do. You could just live your life as a regular citizen, boring and average and unable to be your extraordinary self. Or, you could join a small, unrecognized faction and do local things that affect basically no-one.
That leaves one choice for you, doesn't it? Join the Vigilantes despite all odds, pray to hell that they accept you. Or capture a Blue Jay’s attention, risk your entire life up until today by outing yourself as a super.
This is your opportunity to make a difference, to join the ranks of the most elite supers in America, if not the world. This is your opportunity to be real.

Wait! Just a few rules before you introduce yourself, super…
- No god-like powers exist in this world. The greater your power, the greater your downfall. This means no Mary-Sues either.
-Powers and weaknesses are unique to the individual; You should describe your ability and limitations as such. No two supers will be the same.
- Please be respectful of others! Enough said there.
-Romance is a part of life, but if it is borderline more than romantic, please take it to PMs.
-Most importantly of all, have fun while you're here! America needs more supers to take a stand.

That's it! Feel free to PM me or ask any questions here!
Hello, everyone! My name's Arlo. I'm new here (obviously) so hopefully this’ll be a barrel of fun and I'll make some awesome friends. :)

My previous RP experience involves relatively low effort one-liners but I'm definitely into character/story development these days. I usually stick around the genres of superhero/villain, fantasy and real life, but I'm open for just about anything. (Not really into romance, though!) I prefer one-on-one, but group roleplays can be really cool once in a while.

Outside of spending 75% of my life on the internet, I'm a violist at my school (I'm a Junior) and an aspiring lawyer. I love cooking/baking, spending my time outside and reading, in no particular order. I don't have a job right now because I'm focusing on school/orchestra, but I suppose that could be expected of a 17 year-old.

Anyway, I'm excited to meet new people here, so hi!
