Years have passed since the first teenage superhero took his role on the big screen. Robin - the Boy Wonder - became an inspiration to many teenagers looking to provide safe haven for their communities. Many imitations of the Boy Wonder roamed the streets at night, aiming to keep them clean. Some succeeded in doing so, fighting crime just like Batman's sidekick, but others found themselves too much a task. A rise in teen deaths occurred during that movement, and it continues today.
In addition to masked vigilantes with magnifying gadgets, another type of people rose to the task. Metahumans - being with fictional superhero abilities - began to roam the streets in marvelous uniforms to protect their city. But not only did these metahuman show their good side, they also showed their devious one. Many "villains" as they would call them, also arose from the pits of nowhere. But at this time, crime didn't increase due to the overwhelming victories of the "good" metahumans.
But like any teenager, these metahumans have become unpredictable and uncontrollable. With their unknown abilities, they are capable of doing unimaginable things. That's where an organization was created. K.N.I.G.H.T., a corporation that handles metahuman incidents has come to an understanding with S.T.A.R. Labs - that all metahumans are national threat.
K.N.I.G.H.T., started by a man only known as Mr. Shade, have begun their operations in creating their own metahumans to battle and eventually put down the superpower movement once and for all. In order to create their own beings, they have subjected to capture current metahumans and using their DNA to create artificial life. Without a complete DNA strand - meaning without an entire metahuman body - K.N.I.G.H.T. has been unable to create a perfect metahuman to their liking. Their first attempt failed completely, creating a monster that was put down instantly. The second experiment actually vanished from their facility, destroying everything in its path. Number 2's overwhelming strength was unlike any other. After the fixes, they attempted one more time, finally creating a metahuman clone that understood its mission. But like the other two experiments, Number 3 has yet to learn to control its powers. Problem is, Mr. Shade is no longer patient and is sending it out to capture metahumans.
