The Walking Dead : Among the Ruined// Spin-off Series

- The reason I say "spin-off" is because there is already a The Walking Dead: Among the Ruined Roleplay out there. I currently Co-Gm it. This spin-off will take place in Central Texas, unlike the original which takes place in Louisiana. The current roleplay/series is on its THIRD SEASON! YES! Like the show, our RP is divided into seasons(threads). Each season usually has its own arc and main plot/villain. I hope to have as much success here as we did in the original rp which is STILL going. If all goes well in both Roleplays, maybe the characters from the original may one day meet the characters from this spin-off.

*Everythang below was written by Myst (GM of The Walking Dead: Among the Ruined) the original*
ALWAYS ACCEPTING
When hell gets full, the Devil lets the dead walk the earth...

So this is a walking dead style rp. There will be action and gore and zombie killing, but mostly this will be about the twists and turns, the drama, the heartache and the joy of moral decisions that have both good and bad consequences.
Everything you do and say will have consequences further down the line. The walker you killed yesterday was actually the mother of the person you met today. That guy you refused to give food? He came back as a walker and killed your best friend. That little boy you helped? He came back with a large group to steal your supplies. Each choice is life and death. Don't ever get too comfortable, because you never know when things will go to hell.
Of course... it's already there...

Rules :
1. No fighting in the OOC. I mean it. You get one warning, then your characters gets killed off and you are banned from the rp.
2. No overpowered characters. It's okay to have weapons, but not everyone is survival trained and can make a rocket launcher with a pocket knife, some string and a potato. Be realistic with your characters skills and their weapons.
3. Gore is fine, but romance (if there is any during a zombie apocalypse) goes to PM. Anything above kissing goes to PM.
4. Killing of characters must be agreed upon.
5. Before making any game changing decisions please pm me to ask or discuss it in the OOC before posting it. This does not mean I need to make every decision for you, but MAJOR plot twists need to be approved by either me or my Co-GM(s).
6. You can have as many characters as you can handle. Do not ignore anyone and post regularly. If you can't post for a couple of days, let us know so we can move around your character. If you do not post in the IC or OOC or PM me for four days straight your character will be killed and become a walker. If you want to return after that, you can make another character.
7. People will die. It's a zombie survival rp. If I PM you about your character dying please do not be upset. I am not picking on you or singling you out for any other reason then to add drama and keep the story random and interesting. You can always make another character, but if you are dead set on keeping you character alive I will not kill them without your consent.
8. It might seem strange to have this rule but I have run into problems with this in the past so I am going to say it right off : NO ONE IS IMMUNE. This is not "The Last of Us" this is a "The Walking Dead" rp. There is no cure and there is no immunity to the zombie virus. Everyone already has it. Your character can be working on a cure, but that is all.
9. I reserve the right to add more rules if needed.

I am in this for the long-haul, so I ask you to please not join unless you plan on being in this for a while and will contribute to the story. I have seen too many good rps die from people joining and never posting.

Let's have fun with the end of civilization, shall we?

GM = QT

In addition, what I'd like to see is a very low amount of "Soldier/Soldier-Like" characters. Not everyone in the zombie universe is a soldier. There are still regular cashier people surviving; Low income families, waiters and waitresses, etc. Normal people can survive, it has been shown in the television show. Also, this has nothing to do with The Walking Dead universe. This is an entire different universe where Rick and them do not exist. Hope to get interest and see awesome new characters!!!

Will this be considered Casual? Or Advanced?
Interested. But one question: Will we be playin pirates or actual soldiers of a certain city-state?

Hank - A new day

As the house was pronounced clear, Hank told Floyd to recheck the entire place again. He signaled Imogen to come back down. "Let's get settled in here for the night. Have Aiden help you bring our stuff inside. We need to move fast though, I'd prefer being inside right now, before it gets dark. And Imogen.." he paused, placing a hand on her shoulder as she finally got down to the first floor. "....keep an eye on Heather for me alright? I'm just.....worried" he said in a whisper" then tapping her shoulder again and smiling as he left the house and moved towards the truck.

He and DeSean started to unpack, taking a majority of their stuff into the house. Floyd on the other hand was doing laps around the house, not literally, but walking and checking every spot. He still had his knife strapped to his belt just in case, but no real firepower. Suddenly he paused as he saw something on the ground. He crouched down and picked it up. In his hand was a dirty small teddy bear the size of his hand. That's when he started to remember things he thought he had forgotten. He remembered the first time he put his hands on Jess's stomach. He gulped and sniffed trying to forget, doubting he'd ever see her again. It had been so long, yet he still had some hope left. The world was big, or empty or whatever. The odds of them finding each other again was one-thousand to one, but those odds had been proven wrong once before.

Anyhow, Floyd finished his little check up and headed back to the house. By the time he got to the entrance, he noticed Seth, Aiden, Jennifer, Hank and DeSean were already inside. Aaliyah and Heather were still talking outside. "C'mon! It's gettin dark!" he called out to the two women as he entered the house, leaving the door slightly opened for them to follow.

Hank and DeSean were in the kitchen talking - map on the table in the center. Floyd took the liberty to join them, leaning on the kitchen's door frame. DeSean turned to Floyd and just nodded, which Floyd returned the gesture. "We'll head down this rode in order to prevent the center of the city. That's looking like downtown, we'll be safer to stay away from there. That's probably high in population" Hank stated. "Are we all goin?" Floyd asked from his position. Hank turned to the man, then back to DeSean. "Yeah, were not leaving each other's side anymore. Were safer together, stronger too. Were all going" Hank assured. DeSean nodded in agreement. "Alright then, let's just get some rest now, we'll start tomorrow morning."

With that, the little group was dismissed. Floyd stayed in the kitchen and sat near a corner, sharpening his knife with a knife sharpener he found in a cabinet. DeSean took his wife upstairs to one of the rooms where they started talking to each other about who knows what. Hank on the other hand returned to the main room where Seth and Aiden were. Seth turned to Hank, looked to see if he was doing alright. Seeing the young adults concern, Hank put his hand on Seth's shoulder. "You alright?" he asked him. "Are you?" Seth asked in return. Hank swallowed, unsure how to answer. He felt as though he was alright, as though he was coming back to his usual self. But deep down he still had doubt. he wasn't sure if he was faking his return, or if he'd actually return. But despite that doubt, he gripped the Asian boy's shoulder tighter. "I'm here" he whispered at him. "I'm here" he repeated. "Now let's all get some rest" he said aloud to the rest of the group.
After packing all of Lucas' clothes into one of his over-sized gym bags, Grady hurried to the kitchen and started preparing a small meal for the boy. He pulled out two slices of bread and spread peanut butter on one side, jelly on the other. "Daaaaad.....I told you, gently, not rough, gentle, like this" the boy stated, taking the butter knife from his father's hands and tip toeing to gently spread the filling over the buns. Grady chuckled to himself as his son finished making the sandwich. "Alright, alright, gotcha" Grady said as he put it into a small zip lock bag, then into a lunchbox along with a sixteen ounce bottle of orange juice. "Now make sure to eat once you get to grandma's house okay?"

"Yeah dad, I know" the boy exclaimed as he took his lunchbox and signaled his dad to get the bag full of clothes. Grady was allowing Lucas to go with his grandma for two days. She was already outside waiting on him, so Grady was in a hurry. He left everything for last minute, like most men. After getting the clothes bag, Grady rushed and opened the front door, letting his son go into the hallway first. He quickly followed after locking the door, to find his neighbor - Yvette - walk out of her place as well.

"Hey!" he smiled at the woman. Lucas just waved without saying a word, tugging at his dad's pants for him to hurry. Grady didn't even feel his son tugging at him, and continued to speak to Yvette. "I was hoping to see you today. Forgot to say thank you for watching little guy here yesterday" the father winked. "Are you headed out? My mom is waiting outside to take Lucas to her place, wanna........I don't know......get something to eat? I'm going to the gym tonight, so I've got all the afternoon?"

"Daaaad! C'mon! Evelyn is waiting!!!" Lucas begged, tugging at Grady's pants even more. Grady made an oops face to Yvette and started walking towards the exit in a power walk. The passed the double doors to the bright sunny day out in the open where his mother awaited for her grandson in a black luxury vehicle. She came out and hugged Lucas, then went to her son and planted a kiss on his cheek. "You're late" she said with a smirk. "You know how I am mom" Grady laughed as he put his hands in his pockets. "We'll bring him back......well, maybe we wont. Hahaha" Grady's mom chuckled. By this time, Lucas was already in the backseat eager to get going. "Let's go Evelyn!" he called out. "I see you still haven't taught him to call me grandma?"

"I try mom. He's just as stubborn as you" Grady joked. He then waved at his son as he rode off with Evelyn. The father then turned around in hopes of seeing Yvette behind him.

I dunno. A 23 year old man, however his disposition, living with a 17 year old looks a little...strange. You know?

Just a bit. haha.
Then again, I couldn't afford an apartment when I was 17. Shoot.
Does that mean were startin soon?
