Something Deep & Dark.
Welcome. As the title suggests, I'm looking for a story (or stories) featuring dark/gritty themes, romance, hurt/angst, and depth of character. My ideal partner would be someone who loves injecting vivid descriptions and emotional weight into their writing. Some more guidelines:
- I’m only comfortable with writing with those who are 18 and over IRL.
- All stories will be MxF, and I will play either role. I am female, but am comfortable with and enjoy playing male main characters. I prefer focusing solely on mains, but I will occasionally introduce side characters to move the plot along.
- As already mentioned, romance will feature in these plots, though "instamance" is not something I typically enjoy. I'm more of a "slow burn" type of gal unless the plot suggests otherwise.
- I like adult content (profanity, violence, substance abuse, sexual themes) so I'd like a partner who is comfortable with all that. However, I don't write smut for smut's sake; it has to be appropriate to the plot. Because of this, I will only roleplay in PMs.
- I'm fairly active, but since I work and go to school, my posting frequency does vary. I could be posting multiple times a day or once every few days, but I'll endeavor to make at least one post a week at worst. If I need more time, I'll be sure to let you know.
- I'm not a super stickler for post length. As long as the quality's there, two to three large paragraphs per post minimum will suffice, especially during instances of dialogue.
- I don't do picture representations of characters; I typically describe them in my introduction and would rather you did as well. Helps my imagination.
- Please PM me if you'd be interested in writing with me. I'll only be accepting one partner per plot. More plots will be added as they come to mind.
The Plots.

War changed him. Coming home to his picturesque small town, he struggles to exorcise the ghosts in his head, all the while finding himself back in a world he no longer knows, having inherited the familial home from his recently deceased father. She's a new transplant from the city, trying to escape the memories of an abusive marriage. She takes up residence as a renter in his worn historical abode, and finds herself growing increasingly curious about her quiet, aloof young landlord.
- The Survivor -
She is the only known survivor of the vicious serial killer tormenting the city, and said killer has made it exceedingly clear that he would come back for his "unfinished business", having already gruesomely dispatched over ten victims and leaving their mangled remains out for the journalists. A talented detective, having recently lost his partner to the same killer, is assigned to keep the survivor safe, even as their mutual foe stalks them both.
- Virtue And Vice -
The daughter of a powerful crime lord, she finds herself quickly taken with the new addition to her father's crew of "business associates", especially now that he's been assigned to keep her safe from their rivals' vile machinations. What she doesn't know is that he's undercover law enforcement, charged with gathering enough evidence to take the organization down from the inside.
