Events going up until the end of the Circum-Pacific War
1970
1970’s: Border Disputes raised between various eastern democratic countries and the Belkan Federation become more frequent.
During the Rectan War, The 51st Air Division/ 126th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Silber” led by Dietrich Kellerman claimed air superiority against the Rectan Air Force over the Mainz Mountains, which allowed the Belkan Army to occupy Capitol City of Recta, Cor. In recognition for his actions, Dietrich Kellerman earned the nickname, “Hero of Mainz” Kellerman.
1980
1980’s: The Union of Yuktobanian Republics enters into a state of cold war against The Osean Federation. Admiral Leonov proposes the Arsenal Ship program. In response, The Osean Government submits a proposal in the Strategic Defense Initiative for a “High-Atmosphere Mobile Spacecraft”.
1981
1981: The Belkan Federation begins their Ballistic Missile Defense Program
As a result, this allowed the defense-type laser weapon “Excalibur” to begin development.
1985
In the Principality of Belka, “The Wellow Incident” occurs. Offshore of Nord Belka, Unknown Aircraft violate the airspace of Crescent’s Island. The Belkan Air Force dispatches Silber Squadron, who promptly shoot down the unknown intruders
Belka launches Project: Pendragon,
The development on Weapons of Massive Retaliation and scientific laser weaponry commences. This plan has the involvement of Anton Kupchenko.
Dominic Zubov participates as a mercenary in conflicts all over Yuktobania.
1986
The Tyumen Dispute breaks out between the Union of Yuktobanian Republics and the Republic of Kaluga.
Battle of Dimitr occurs during the Tyumen Dispute.
At this time, Dominic Zubov is a member of Yuktobania’s 9th Air Division/ 112th Tactical Fighter Squadron, who suppress the Kalugan Forces.
1987
The Heum coup d’état regime takes power in the Republic of Romny, just south of Yuktobania
Once more, Dominic Zubov suppresses the conflict.
1987.01.22: The Basic Blueprints for the Erusea Aeronautics and Space Administration (EASA) X-02 are completed.
1987.12.17: The Belkan Federation begins the Federal Law Review.
1987.xx.xx: Due to the expansion of military spending in Belka, a decision is made to transfer political power in the eastern states of the Belkan Federation, therefore troops stationed in Belka are withdrawn to their home countries.
1988
1988.02.08: The Republic of Gebet gains independence.
Belka’s economy has fallen into a deep recession; therefore Federal Law is independently amended.
1988.05.12: The Republic of Ustio gains independence.
From this point on, the expansion of separatist sentiments intensifies within the Belkan Federation. This was partly due to the fact it was the Osean Capital in the shadows of the movement for independence of Ustio who quietly gave them a support system, due to the potential of underground resources expected to be there.
1990
1990.05.xx: In Belka, conflict arises between the security forces and armed nature conservation activists over the area where Excalibur is under construction. Those with minor injuries quickly abandon the endeavor.
Afterwards, the entire Tauburg Area is specified as completely off limits.
1990.10.08: In Belka, Construction begins on the escort facility base in Excalibur.
In Osea, the Osean Military declares that it will begin rearmament.
In Estovakia, off the northeast coast, exploration begins on an abandoned oil drilling facility.
199X.xx.xx: In the Osean Air Force, The 8th Air Division/ 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron “Wizard” is established.
Joshua Bristow, Carlos Joaquin, and Lucio Morientes are key members of the Squadron.
1991
1991.08.29: Belka cheaply sells to the Fato Federation its Northern Territories.
Afterwards, Belka sold to its eastern neighboring countries its Eastern Regions.
Finally, Belka ceded the Northern Region Hunan Islands and the Northern Great Lakes to the Osean Federation.
(Prior to September of 1991): Osea and Belka take part in a joint venture, The Great Lakes Resource Development Corporation. However, Osea conceals the fact that they are under-funding the project.)
Because of the mounting suspicions of The Osean Federation’s machinations for territorial cessions, Anti-Osean feelings begin to run high domestically in Belka.
1991.09.02: In Yuktobania, A Party Congress is held at Cinigrad.
At the same time, The Construction of the Submersible Aircraft Carrier “Scinfaxi” is empirically documented and published.
1991.09.0x: In response to the announcement of the construction of Yuktobania’s new Submarine, The Osean Federation’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Howards remarked that the news deserved “no merit”.
Also, there is some suspicion of fraud due to the fact that the new submarine is strikingly similar to one currently operated by the FCU, The Dragonet Class Submarines Fensalir and later Folkvanger.
1991.12.16: The borders of the neighboring countries of Belka are redrawn.
Belka’s eastern regions will be shared between Ustio and Gebet.
Gebet will be divided to form Recta.
Ustio will cede its eastern area to form Ratio.
1992
1992.xx.xx: The Belkan Democratic Liberal Party (Belkan Fatherland and Workers Party) wins the majority vote.
1994
1994.10.xx: The Shellsbridge University discovers the asteroid 1994XF04.
The asteroid is later named “Ulysses”.
1994.12.xx: The International Union of Astronomists (IUA) announced their prediction that there is a possibility that the Ulysses 1994XF04 Asteroid will approach the Earth within several years, and in the worst-case scenario should it hit the Earth, the asteroid will cause significant damage.
1994:xx.xx: In Belka, The Excalibur is completed.
1995
1995:03.25: The Outbreak of the Belkan War.
1995:03.27: On the Belkan Eastern Front, near the border of The Republic of Gebet, the City of Model comes under occupation.
The Belkan Air Force’s 7th Air Division/ 51st Tactical Fighter Squadron “Indigo”, led by Dimitri Heinreich, engaged and shot down the 9 F-14D Super Tomcat’s of the 3rd Air Division/ 122nd Tactical Fighter Squadron of the Fato Federation 5 minutes after the start of the war, which catapulted them into fame.
1995:03.30: Over the skies of Monte Rosa, a air battle occurs between the Belkan and Ustio Air Forces which results in the Belkan Regime taking over most of the Republic of Ustio.
Erich Hillenbrand shoots down 6 aircraft, and becomes well known.
1995:04.01: The Ustio, Osean Allied Forces begin their retaliation.
1995:04.03: The Osean Military initiates its counter-offensive.
1995:04.24: The Allied Forces, hoping to secure the water transportation routes by sweeping away the Belkan Forces in the Futuro Canal, initiate “Offensive Campaign No. 4101”.
Also, Osea conducts the Sea Trials for the Aircraft Carrier, CVN-30 OFS Kestrel.
1995:05.13: The Allied Forces liberate the Capitol of Ustio, Directus, from Belkan Occupation.
With that, the former independent nation is restored and it’s power structure returns to the way it was before the outbreak of the war.
1995:05.17: Belka’s Mass Retaliation Weapons Development Program, “V2”, is discovered; which causes the Allied Forces to decide to invade Belka.
1995:05.23: The Allied Forces destroy the Excalibur Anti-Missile Chemical Laser Defense System.
1995:06.01: The Allied Bombing of the Belkan Industrial City of Hoffnung.
1995:05.14 – 06.04: The Cities of South Belka are declared demilitarized zones.
They surrender bloodlessly to the Allied Forces, including the Independent Countries and Osea.
1995:06.05: The Battle of The Waldreich
Three Allied Forces Units lay siege to The City of Sudentor and pounce the retreating Belkan Forces who are trapped in the narrow mountain range.
The Osean Air Force’s 8th Air Division/ 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron’s “Wizard” and “Sorcerer” abandon the frontlines, and vanish without a trace.
1995.06.06: The Belkan Army utilizes seven nuclear weapons and deploys them along the Waldreich Mountains.
Galm Team’s Number 2 of the Ustio Air Force, Larry Foulke, goes MIA.
1995:06.20: The Treaty of Lumen is signed. The Belkan War ends.
The entire Belkan Military south of the Waldreich is to disarm.
The Belkan Federation is dissolved, leaving only a single territory of the Principality to remain.
The region of South Belka is ceded to the Osean Federation, and becomes the state of North Osea.
1995:10.xx: The Sapin Kingdom’s 9th Air and Land Division/ 11th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Espada” disappear from their base in Sapin.
1995:12.25: The Outbreak of the “A World With No Boundaries” Coup d’état.
The City of Lumen is attacked by the heavy command cruiser XB-0, which later targets and raids Valais Air Force Base but is then shot down by Galm Team.
1995:12.31: The Allied Forces launch an attack on the V2 launch facility at the Avalon Dam Fortress, which brings an end to the “A World With No Boundaries” Coup D’état forces.
End of the Belkan War
1995.xx.xx: Commander Robert Taylor is given command of the FCU Army’s Southern District with orders to Subdue the rebel stronghold on the southern shore island of Scully.
1995: FCU’s Unified Command dispatches Scarface Squadron to crush the Military Coup d’etat.
1996
1996.01.xx: In Belka, former leader of the Rald Party, Waldemar Rald, is ousted.
The Belkan Air Force is reorganized with the commander of the 6th Air Division at the helm, Lieutenant General Blauwelt.
1996.04.18: The FCU Military announces as the successor of Michael Riass as Chief of Staff, who suddenly died on June 20th the previous month, the appointment of Army Commander Robert Taylor (age 54).
Lieutenant General Robert Taylor, who the previous year was the commander of FCU Army’s Southern District, had crushed the stronghold of the Anti-Government Forces at the southern shore island of Scully.
1996.04.20: The President of the FCU announces to the rest of the world the impending collision of the Asteroid Ulysses 1994XF04. Proposed countermeasures were also announced.
The proposals were: The creation of the National Missile Defense (NMD) System in Central Usea Treaty Organization (UTO) member nations; The expansion of underground shelters under major cities; The withdrawal of FCU Troops from Erusea; and finally regulation of communication networks for personal use such as Mobile Phones and the Internet, in order to prevent social and political unrest from misinformation and rumors.
In response to the above, The FCU Secretary for the Department of Defense, Commander Richard Payne, issued orders for all FCU overseas forces to return home temporarily.
The 6th Fleet, which was stationed in the Far East, returns to it’s home port of Waosun
However in the Independent State of Ugellas and the adjoining southern border of the Republic of Amber, the standoff between the FCU Forces and the Erusean Forces still rages on. However, the FCU Forces soon withdrawal, forcing the International United Nations (IUN) Forces to retreat as well.
Stetson, The FCU’s Secretary of State, describes to the UTO how the National Missile Defense (NMD) could be used to intercept the Ulysses Asteroid. He then asks the allied nations for their cooperation.
1996.xx.xx: The assassination attempt on the President of Osea occurs.
Based on information given by former Osean Air Force Wizard Squadron member turned informant Kevin Shore, Osean Special Ops raid the hideout before the assassination could be executed. Evan Carey and Ethan Button, also former members of the Osean Air Defense Force’s Wizard Squadron, were killed in action. Iosif is arrested as the mastermind behind the plot. Former Captain of Wizard Squadron, Joshua Bristow, was also apprehended far away from the incident. The motive was their opposition to the Yuktobanian Peace Treaty.
1997
1997.05.30: The Outbreak of the USEA Coup d’état.
1997:xx.xx: The Usean Coup d’état spreads to the rest of the continent.
Through the efforts of the Usean Unified Command, Scarface 1 suppressed the Rebel Forces (This event will later be known as the 1st Usean Continental War).
1998
1998.06.xx: The FCU completes Stonehenge in the neutral country of San Salvacion’s desert region.
Originally, the Osean Federation and the Union of Yuktobanian Republics shown their intention of participating, but due to reconstruction efforts from the aftermath of the Belkan War, they were unable to participate.
In Belka, former Belkan Air Force ace pilots are dispatched to foreign national air forces to work as Aggressor Squadron pilots.
Development begins on the Erusea Aeronautics and Space Administration (EASA) X-02.
1999
1999.07.08: Ulysses 1994XF04 passes through the Roche limit.
500,000 People die within the first two weeks. Erusea receives a large number of refugees from the FCU.
In Estovakia, the Meteor Interception Facility Chandelier is too late, which results in the country suffering numerous meteorite impacts. This drives Estovakia into a state of Economic Collapse.
In comparison to Estovakia, Emmeria suffered relatively minor human casualties due to the construction of underground shelters in major cities.
1999.xx.xx: The Osean Naval Defense Force recommissions the Aircraft Carrier CVN-30 OFS Kestrel.
Osea and Yuktobania work together in a joint operation to remove the remaining debris of Ulysses 1994XF04 by redirecting Arkbird and using it as a debris removal platform.
2000
2000.04.xx: Erusea refuses to accept any more refugees
Erusea by this point has received over 200,000 refugees, but this caused them to reach its capacity limit to support them, which causes them to implement strict travel visa approval conditions.
2003
Summer of 2003: Erusea begins its invasion of the neutral country of San Salvacion.
Beginning of the (Second) Usean Continental War
Erusea quickly takes over the Stonehenge Turret Network and begins operations using it as a surface-to-air interception cannon.
2003.08.22: Erusea orders the President of the FCU to withdrawal all FCU Forces from the Railgun Facility and from the country of San Salvacion
Furthermore, they warn that if the FCU does not withdrawal, that they’ll sanction attacks against the FCU military and it’s allies. The deadline for withdrawal is set to September 9th.
2003.xx.xx: Robert Sinclair, President of the FCU, forms the Independent State Allied Forces (ISAF)
2003.09.14 and later: After repeated attempts and defeats for air superiority against Stonehenge’s suppression capabilities, ISAF withdrawals to Los Canas.
ISAF later carries out another assault operation against Stonehenge, which also ends in defeat.
2004
2004.xx.xx: ISAF relocates their General Headquarters to North Point.
2004.10.10: In order to reunite with the rest of the withdrawing ISAF Forces in Saint Ark, ISAF destroys the radar facility at the summit of Mount Schezna.
2004.11.23: ISAF launches a attack to sink the Erusean Forces Armada known as the “Invincible” Aegir Fleet while it was still anchored at Comberth Harbor
This causes the Erusean military to indefinitely postpone the invasion of North Point
“Some day, if an equal appeared and challenged the limits of his skills in a fight, he would bear no resentment about being shot down”.
The only person at the time to testify about the Usean Continental War was a war orphan, whose letters talked about Erusea’s ace, Yellow 13. Although no written documentation remains, it has been inferred that the last known recorded words were spoken prior to the destruction of the Aegir Fleet of the Erusean Forces. He said, “I believe that pilots should bear responsibility till the end”.
2004.12.31: A large-scale air battle between ISAF and Erusean Forces erupts over the Comona Islands.
2004.xx.xx: Vincent Harling becomes the 48th President of the Osean Federation.
The Osean/ Yuktobanian Peace Accords proceed.
2005
2005.01.24: ISAF makes landfall on the Usean Continent.
2005.02.28: In order to cross the Tango Line, the Erusean Forces defense line, ISAF launches an assault and defeats Istas Fortress.
2005.03.14: The technicians who worked on Stonehenge along with their families, who were detained under the pretense of protection by the Republic of Erusea, defect and gain asylum in the FCU.
In order to escape, they board Air Ixiom Flight 701; during which time Kei Nagase was serving as Co-Pilot, along with boarding Flight 702.
2005.04.02: ISAF destroys Stonehenge.
2005.06.18: ISAF begins landing operations in the Northern Usean Continent at Ice Creek.
2005.07.10: ISAF liberates San Salvacion.
2005.08.15: ISAF breaks through Whiskey Corridor, Erusea’s last line of defense.
2005.09.19: Erusea’s capitol city of Farbanti falls. Erusea afterwards accepts ISAF’s terms of surrender, which brings the 2nd Usean Continental War to a close.
2005.09.26: Young Erusean officers occupy Megalith.
Megalith is successfully destroyed through the combined efforts of ISAF and the 118th Tactical Fighter Squadron Mobius.
“I don’t know, history determines the winner. But there’s one thing I can say for certain, heroes really do exist.”
It was ace pilot Mobius 1 who led the ISAF forces to victory in the 2nd Usean Continental War. On the day when Megalith was destroyed, ISAF AWACS operator Sky Eye witnessed Mobius 1’s miraculous survival and said the above quote. These words keenly explained that one person could have the power to end a war and the truth of the existence of one such person.
End of the Usean Continental War
2005.xx.xx: Under the guidance of ISAF, the Interim Government of Erusea is established.
The truth behind The Belkan War is unveiled in a documentary program on the Osean Television Station, OBC.
2006
2006.09.2x: An armed uprising breaks out in Erusea due to the Organization “Free Erusea”.
Mobius 1 is deployed along with AWACS Sky Eye on Operation Katina
2006.xx.xx: Free Erusea is suppressed through the work of Mobius 1.
2008
2008.08.21: The Arkbird Summit
Anea, Central Usea, Osea, Yuktobania, Verusa, Nordland, The Erusian Interim Government and others attend in order to make decisions for disarmament and the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons.
In addition, a decision has been made for the refugee problems on the Usean Continent caused by the fall of the asteroid Ulysses and the 2nd Usean Continental War.

The G7 Summit was held in the High-Atmosphere Mobile Spacecraft, Arkbird (Summit Conference)
2010
2010.09.23: A flight of unknown aircraft enters Osean territory, just off of Cape Landers. The Osean Air Defense Force 5th Air Division/ 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron Wardog intercepts and engages these aircraft in combat, but only 2 planes from Wardog return.
2010.09.24: A SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft of unknown origin infiltrates Osean Airspace. The Osean Coastal Defense Force fires a Surface-to-Air Missile and lands a hit.
2010.09.27: Wardog Squadron engages unknown aircraft.
Wardog 1, Jack Bartlett, is shot down and becomes a Prisoner of War.
Yuktobania then declares war on Osea and simultaneously attacks the Osean Port of Saint Hewlett.
The Circum-Pacific War begins.
2010.09.30: The Scinfaxi, Yuktobania’s first Scinfaxi-Class Submersible Aircraft Carrier, participates for the first time in actual combat.
Two ships from the Osean Naval Defense Force, the aircraft carriers OFS Vulture, and OFS Buzzard, are sunk in the Eaglin Straits.
Osea decides to send the Arkbird to the battlefront.
2010.10.04: The Scinfaxi, Yuktobania’s first Scinfaxi-Class Submersible Aircraft Carrier, is sunk of the coast of Sand Island.
2010.10.22: Akerson Hill Incident
Vincent Harling, President of the Osean Federation, is abducted whilst en route to the neutral country of North Point.
With this, Vice President Applerouth grasps political power, which in turn increases the militant atmosphere in the Osean Government from within.
2010.10.25: Explosives mixed in with a shipment of supplies destroys The Arkbird’s power section, which causes a loss in control.
2010.11.01: Osea commences its invasion of the Yuktobanian Homeland from the Southern Coast of the Bastok Peninsula, located in Southeast Yuktobania.
2010.11.02: Osean Fighters strafe an Engineering College in the college town of Dresdene in Yuktobania, which results in casualties.
Because of this Incident, sentiments about Osea in Yuktobania take a turn for the worst.
Wardog Squadron is suspected to have been involved in the incident, and so they are summoned to a Military Court of Inquiry in the Capital City of Osea, Oured.
2010.11.04: In the Osean Federation college town of Bana, Yuktobanian Special Forces Commandos commit a terror attack using Nerve Gas.
Simultaneously, The Yuktobanian Military commences a surprise attack on the Osean Federation’s Apito International Airport.
2010.11.14: The Hrimfaxi, Yuktobania’s second Scinfaxi-Class Submersible Aircraft Carrier, is sunk in the Razgriz Straits.
2010.11.29: During a peace ceremony being held in the Osean Federation City of November City, the Yuktobanian Air Force launches an attack.
Wardog Squadron members were assigned to preform a flyby display, but during the Yuktobanian attack, Captain Alvin H. Davenport of Wardog Squadron is killed in action.
2010.12.06: Cruik Fortress, the last bastion for Yuktobania, falls to the Osean Forces.
2010.12.07: Wardog Squadron is accused of espionage, forcing Maintenance Chief Peter N. Beagle, Press Corps Member Albert Genette, and et al to hijack trainer aircraft in order to escape. However, all aircraft are shot down by a lone F-14A piloted by Marcus Snow from the Aircraft Carrier Kestrel.
2010.12.09: The Osean Federation’s President, Vincent Harling, is rescued after having been imprisoned for some time now at Stier Castle within the Principality of Belka.
Razgriz Command Squadron is established under the President of Osea.
2010.12.19: The Arkbird, which has been equipped with Nuclear Weapons in order to attack the Yuktobanian City of Okchabursk, descends into the atmosphere so that it can aerobrake.
However, Razgriz Squadron intercepts and shoots down The Arkbird.
At the same time, Osean astronaut and Arkbird’s former Operations Technician John Harvard makes his escape.
2010.12.23: The Union of Yuktobanian Republic’s Prime Minister, Seryozha Viktorovich Nikanor, who had been imprisoned by the Yuktobanian Military, is rescued.
2010.12.29: The Battle of the Ceres Ocean
Defecting Yuktobanian vessels join the Osean Maritime Defense Force’s Kestrel during the confrontation with the Yuktobanian Fleet; however, the Osean Maritime Defense Force’s Third Fleet soon joins the fray, which creates a three-sided battle.
Razgriz Squadron deploys from the Aircraft Carrier Kestrel and quelled the conflict.
2010.12.30: The Osean Aircraft Carrier CVN-30 OFS Kestrel is sunk.
Vincent Harling, President of the Osean Federation, and Seryozha Viktorovich Nikanor, Prime Minister of the Union of Yuktobanian Republics, make a televised speech seeking for both their respective armed forces to disarm.
A mixture of Osean/ Yuktobanian Forces raid Gründer IG Industries, located in the Trusteeship State of North Osea City of Sudentor.
The control facility for the Combat Satellite SOLG is destroyed.
2010.12.31: Astronomers discover that the Combat Satellite SOLG is falling from orbit and inform the Osean Military their forecast for the precise point of impact.
Razgriz Squadron defeats the double formation of former Belkan Air Force Squadrons Ofnir and Grabacr.
Afterwards, Razgriz Squadron destroys the SOLG while it’s falling towards the Capital City of Osea, Oured.
The Circum-Pacific War ends.
1: Keep the RP PG-13 to mild R.: This is war after all, feel free to describe till your heart’s content the affects of an aircraft burning into cinders and feel free to swear like a sailor if you wish, but keep any sexual situation to just references in passing please! Making out is the limit!
2: Please, No God modding!: The only character in existence within Ace Combat Canon that is a true god mod and is allowed to be so is Mobius 1. Please, out of respect for the greatest pilot in Ace Combat history, don’t make yourself out to be better than him. Try to be humble.
3: This is not the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: There will be no Aliens (despite the fact Strangereal is in the UGSF timeline thanks to AC3, I rather not make things any stranger by seeing Galagans flying around); No Time Travellers; No Espers; No Sliders; and no one with strange, otherworldly, ungodly, or otherwise mystical powers. They haven’t been seen in Strangereal yet, and I rather keep it that way.
4: Do not RP as previous Ace Characters: By Ace Characters, I mean in specific; Scarface 1 (AC1); Phoenix, Edge, Slash (AC2/ AC:AHL); Mobius 1 (AC04); Blaze, Edge, Chopper (*sniff*), Archer, and Swordsman (AC5); Cipher (ACZ); Talisman, Shamrock (AC06); Gryphus 1, and Falco 1 (ACX). The reason you are not permitted to portray these characters is because they are already Aces in their own right and portraying them would either diminish their reputation or would be unfair in comparison to other Roleplayers. If you however decide to portray a former enemy or canon secondary character, contact me through PM for permission. Also, you must ask for permission to portray yourself as a member from a former Ace Squadron.
5: Once we get past the beginning stages of the RP, I'll let you unlock/buy planes that you want, withing reason. Please propose the plane to me beforehand in the OOC and I'll check if it's in line with the current stage of the RP.
Also, in relation to Super-planes (this means aircraft like the ADFX-01/02 Morgan; XFA-27; ADF-01 Falken; X-02 Wyvern; CFA-44 Nosferatu, or the Fenrir. Don't even think about any of the super-planes in AC3 since none of them have been built yet– this is 2020, not 2040), you are allowed to list one you wish to fly in particular or have been a test pilot for in your bio's, but to make things fair you are not allowed to pilot super-planes early in the RP. I'll let you know when it's time to bring out the big guns and send out the Super-planes... so please be patient and wait.
6: If you need to go on Hiatus or break for a period of time, let us know: We don’t want to assume you got bored of the RP and left it without saying a word about it. If something important came up or you suddenly became busy with work, just let us know so I can work something out.
7: Try to post at least once a week: Again, this is to prevent lack of interest in the RP by vanishing characters. Also, it will help maintain a flow in the RP so it won’t slow down too much. This isn't a mandatory rule to follow, but it is encouraged, and if you need more time to post: don't be afraid to post in the OOC about your concerns and I'll be glad to make the proper accommodations.
8: Try to reply if you know for sure a previous post was meant for you specifically to reply back too: It’s only polite so the RP won’t be kept waiting for a single person to reply back so everyone can have fun.
9: If you fail to post or notify anyone the reason for your absence, there will be consequences...
Note: a “Reason” can be something simple, for example:
“I’m sorry for not posting for so long, I was bogged down by work and school work”
or
“I was sick for the past weeks”
or
“I was on vacation with family”
You do not need to go into detail, just a short reasonable and truthful answer to your disappearance.
10: Pick any country you want from the participating nations (I'll explain later) or entities. Anyone is fine, no matter how obscure. If you are a mercenary, please specify this. By default, basically all pilots with NEU and GRDF are mercenaries.
11: You can be the leader of a "squadron", but keep in mind that in some of the missions, everyone will be working as one big team, whereas others will let you and your individual squadron shine!
12: Please try to interact a lot within not only the IC, but the OOC too. RP's without communication die faster than a Yak-38 falls out of the sky!
13: At least in the beginning, we are all on the same side. If you wish to do something somewhat unsavory, please speak to me (Rafale) in a PM, in order to guard the surprise for the others, NOT ON THE OOC PLEASE.

Equally (in regards to power-playing and godmodding), any Mary-Sues/Marty-Stu's will be mercilessly stamped out of existence, and bought down to Earth with a crashing bump. Your character cannot be the best at everything, and win every fight they're in with no challenge. Even the best mecha pilots in anime take hits and damage, and find their opponents hard to beat. If there's no challenge, then it's boring and pointless, and there's nothing to overcome.
15: On the other side of this argument, this does not need to be a gritty, miserable slog. A strong sense of adventure, heroism, fun and excitement are also part of this genre, and I play to get away from miserable things, not to have them rammed into my skull in my free time. Keep it balanced out; seriousness is the general tone, but there's moments of levity and joy too.
16: On a completely different subject, but still highly important; ammunition counts. For guns, I follow a strict system of 700 rounds for a 20-23mm cannon, 600 for a 25mm and 500 (attack aircraft such as the A-10) or 300 (fighters and multiroles, such as the MiG-29's and Su-27's) for 30mm's.
Regarding missiles, you can have 25 normal's on fighters, 30 on multiroles and 30 on attackers (all trainers carry 20). For special weapons, you can carry how ever many your plane can actually hold (realistically speaking).

During the Aurelia-Leasath war, many new technologies found their way onto the battlefield. As one of many continuous conflicts across the globe that had seen an increasing focus on airpower during a conflict, and the fielding of increasing numbers of aircraft, along with a rapid rise in advanced electronic and propulsion technologies, the very real need for aircraft to carry an increased amount of firepower was felt.
As a result of this, a crash-program was commenced to develop a new type of missile that would be physically smaller and weigh considerably less, but pack the same - or at least, a comparable - amount of destructive power into a smaller physical shell, and also be capable against both surface and aerial targets.
The program was named akin to the Small Diameter Bomb, and took the name SDM - Small Diameter Missile.
Using components from the Stinger AAM, Javelin ATGM and the Hydra series of rockets kept development costs low, and allowed for rapid mass-production of the technology. The technology was quickly adapted for export, and the self-contained tracking-and-guidance systems meant that the SDM could be integrated readily with a wide variety of aircraft for little cost and time.
Taking over as the primary missile system on most aircraft in a short time, the SDM complements rather than replaces existing systems, relegating 'traditional' missiles to more 'special weapon' roles. Most aircraft can carry up five or more 5-tube 'packs' of SDMs, with some able to carry even more.

Here are some essential tips on how to keep yourself alive in aerial combat, beginning with the original rules created by none other than the mentor of the Red Baron himself, Oswald Boelcke. Though these rules were intended for older generation of aircraft, these same principles can more or less apply to this RP with newer and faster aircraft. However, you should apply how to use them depending on the flow of battle. The Dicta shouldn't be read strictly, but as a rule of thumb to keep you alive.
Dicta Boelcke1) Secure the advantage before attacking. If possible, keep the sun behind you.
2) Always carry through an attack when you started it.
3) Fire only at close range and only when your opponent is properly in your sights.
4) Always keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses.
5) In any form of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind.
6) If your opponent dives on you, do not try to evade the attack, but fly to meet it.
7) When over the enemy’s lines, never forget your own line of retreat.

Combat ManeuversBefore delving into combat, let us familiarize ourselves with some basic maneuvers. Although I’ll assume most of you are familiar with these basic combat maneuvers, I am sure some of you might not know them as well as others do and will find them useful. For more advanced tactics, let your skills develop in the RP and also pay attention to your fellow allies to learn advanced tricks.
1) The Classic Loop: It’s easy as it sounds, simply roll the aircraft upward onto it’s back and then pull out to continue on your original heading. Although not a true combat tactic, rolls can be useful in evading enemy missiles.
2) The Immelmann Turn: This is a classic maneuver developed by Max Immelmann (Also the source of the Pour le Mérite’s famous nickname, The Blue Max) during World War 1. Simply put, the Immelmann Turn involves pitching your aircraft up to begin the loop, but at the high point you cut the loop short and twist your inverted aircraft right side up. Normally this can be used after passing an aircraft head on to reposition yourself for an attack.
3) Split S: This is essentially a Immelmann turn inversed: You preform a half roll with your aircraft to invert yourself during level flight and begin a downward loop, but at the bottom point of the loop you continue on in level flight rather than completing it. The Split S like the Immelmann turn can be used to gain the surprise on a passing opponent to prepare for an attack or it can be used to avoid an Enemy Missile Lock-on.
4) Pugachev’s Cobra: This is an advanced but fan favorite maneuver, which is why it’ll be listed in this guide. Simply put, the aircraft must first be pulled back into a 90º–120º angle of attack so that the nose is perfectly or past vertical, then eased back down to level flight. This maneuver becomes very useful when being pursued closely by an enemy aircraft. By preforming the maneuver, the pursuer might overshoot you and will give you the chance to quickly get behind your opponent and attack them from behind if you are properly facing their 6 o’clock.
