Name: Imir Kelsea

Callsign/Nickname: Ray

Age: 28

Species: Hare

Appearance: 5’6”, ears not included. His fur is deep brown and becomes off-white toward the extremities, minus his ears, which have black tips. His overall build is that of a thin, longlegged athlete, with a perpetual scowl on his face. He grooms himself to the best of his ability and wears baggy clothing to make himself look bigger, but makes no attempt to stand out otherwise.

Bio: Imir is the eldest son of Amir Kelsea—one of the most accomplished living pilots in Arvara’s air racing circuit—and lived in a world of personal aviation as a result. Flying dominated his younger years, and he took up the yoke at every opportunity, but growing up brought along the realization that he’d struggle to escape his father’s shadow, driving him to more frivolous, grounded pursuits.

He’s a firm believer of strength in numbers and equates a large social circle with success, and his enlistment did nothing to change his desire for the good graces of all around him.

Service Record: Imir became a GEAR pilot and, like the many he joined, immediately blended in. He was proven exceptional on paper and in simulations. He performed well in the field and brought his GEAR back in good shape, and his posting provided few, if any, opportunities to distinguish himself.

When it came to finding pilots for the new V-GEAR squads, Imir’s high test marks and civilian pilot’s license made him an attractive recruit, despite his otherwise plain history.

V-GEAR assignment: VG-0A

V-GEAR Distinguishing features: His GEAR itself has no distinguishing features, but he does wear a pale pink flight helmet.

Personal Theme: Starset - Antigravity

I'll swing a sheet your way in ~12 hours. Was mostly deciding what character to use.
That thread from a couple days ago got you thinking, huh?
If you're willing to take on another player character at this point, I can pitch in.
So, I’m a dude. I roleplay in the middleground between casual and advanced—depending on how I’m feeling at the time, I’ll stray from one side to the other. I don’t have many requirements, I only expect you to somewhat match (or exceed, if you’re feeling randy) my average of two pretend paragraphs a post, and that you’ll be unafraid to take charge on occasion and play a character with agency.

The general premise will be similar to the actual games: a human (your character), for reasons unknown, wakes up one day to find that they’ve become a pokémon, and have been transported to another world, inhabited exclusively by talking pokémon.

But, nothing quite looks natural in this world. The clouds are flat, the vegetation’s all plasticy, and there are “mysterious runes” scrawled around that nobody can read, yet clearly say things like [MAINTENANCE ACCESS G8] and [SHOCK HAZARD]. People talk about a massive wall at the end of the world, with mysterious, impervious doors built into its span.

Save for a few exceptions (like the partner character), all the people—the Pokémon—have their set routines that they follow, down to the exact placement of their feet and the exact timing of their breaths. Their voices sound vaguely synthesized, and they see nothing wrong with removing their left arm to grease their elbow. Eating for sustenance is an entirely foreign concept.

So, full disclosure, this is a story about a human in a fake, manmade pokémon body, in a fake, manmade world, filled with other fake, manmade pokémon. It’ll be plain as day to the human, but it’s a big part of the premise, so I wanted to put it out there OOC. Because this isn’t a story about finding out everybody’s an uncanny valley robot, this is a story about what the protagonist will do, given that knowledge, and what they do is up to you.

That’s about it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I'll pitch in as well.
I think it's fine for now.
If you need more to do, Tamra's in danger of some ropeburn and a sore bum. I'd have Arnold do it, but he's still at the top.
Up until this point, Arnold had been busy finally getting to the bottom of the ladder and fussing with the corpse of the dead man he’d found at the bottom, tucking it away in a corner where it wouldn’t be a bother. He tried to search him for anything useful, but couldn’t find anything of use, and promptly gave up. That was when he heard the exchange between Tamra and Charlie, which piqued his curiosity and brought him over to have a look in the book as well.

“Perhaps,” Arnold chimed in, a bit hesitant, before pointing to his name on the page, “My name is in this book as well.” He pursed his lips as he looked at the name just below his own. “So is my sister’s,” he muttered, looking away from the page, back to Charlie and Tamra, “And I can attest to it that she’s dearly departed. Those who’ve perished have had their names struck through, most like.”
Interestingly enough, even though I've been @mentioned, I didn't get any sort of notification. Anyway, if everybody wants to keep going with this, I certainly won't mind.
