I would of defended Mexico against them or aleast have good relations with the US and asked for them help. You could also take Spain's colonies in the Americas, it helps me alot.

After Derck had placed the food onto the table, he and his wife began to eat the roast. It was good to not have imported foods once in a while and the small talks were fun. They just talked about work and other things, like how they met and their first kiss. When he was going to say something, he felt a kiss by his wife and a hand, feeling his hair. Fifteen long years with Ryleigh and he hoped that she still would be around for the next fifteen years. As she was going to show him something, the lights in the kitchen flickered and then shut off all at once. He got out of his chair and looked at the lights, it was odd for a power outage to be happening at this time. But then as Ryleigh was going to flip the switch and said something, a deafeningly loud monstrous grumble made her stop talking. Then it stopped a few second, but then it was followed by a loud thrash and a shaking in the ground which sent Ryleigh to the ground. It send Derck towards the couch, but he held on the couch as the ground stopped shaking.

He was speechless and terrified as he saw the a vast red beam entering the Committee tower. Did someone just destroy the Committee tower. But then, he remembered the kids and he was even more terrified of them and rushed to Ryleigh and said, "Get in the car! I'll drive!". He got her up for the ground and hugged and said, "It will be okay, honey." and then said, "Get going to the car!". He then ran towards the phone and picked it up as he tried to called Aren, who might be still driving, but then he heard a voice. "Derc-. Listen to me! We ar- at the do-nto-n ar-e- near the -tower! Come ge-." it stopped as Derck just heard nothing and then looked towards the window once more. He saw another beam hitting a building and then he dropped the phone and ran towards the car as he grabbed the box of chocolate. He saw Ryleigh and said, "I tried to call Ryleigh, but something was wrong with the phone. They're at a tower, but I don't know what tower and then the call went dead.".

He looked up as saw tons of cars going towards the same direction and he said out loud, "Why does the air have to be so bloody busy during this time?".

Have you forgot that they can still trade on land?! And with other nations, that aren't in the war.
