I think that Queen is dead, so, I will just make a post here.

"Many great things have been accomplished by the careful combination of keen minds and ardent spirits." ~ Unknown.
Plot
After the outbreak of the Jakarta Flu (which killed off eighty percent of the population), the world went into a dark period for five hundred years. It just stopped making inventions, countries didn't expand their land into the new world, it just stopped like the people didn't have a reason to live anymore. Until one day, where a man named, Landen Shelly, started to invent things that used steam. He later invent the first ever paddle steamer, which could cross from his hometown to the nearest city in two days, and it brought back the life into the people and they started to make use of the steamer. He then made the first ever hot balloon and showed it off on a holiday and it even amazed more people. The steam of inventions began to be made, anything from the blimp to the first ever flying ship, it made the world feel like it had a reason to live. It marked the start of an era, where inventions would become the main reason to live and countries would rise to grain the title of "Great Power", it was called: The Golden Era.

Rules
The rules are some what simple to follow, but you must obey them no matter what or else:

You must obey the gamemaster's words and they're final. Which means that I'll calm the debates and the fighting down in the OOC section and in the IC, I would make decisions that will impact the country, good or bad.

You're not allow to control the NPN nations. What I found with other NRPs that have NPNs, is the fact that they're target and take down quickly. I wouldn't allow you to declare war on a NPN without a good reason, if you just say, "it's weak and will expand my landmass!" then I will stop you and say no.

Events are triggered by me and they will appear when ever. It can be good events or bad ones to one or more nations, of course, the events will appear based on your decisions.

Character-driven is a must in this RP, which means your posts must be good and detailed. Not to the point of advanced post (I would love you, if you could post advanced posts), but you must be able to post more than one detailed paragraph.

I understand that life gets in the way (I'm in highschool as we speak), but you must tell me if you're going somewhere for a few days or leaving before of real life events. If you don't post in the OOC or IC in the few days, then I must leave you behind and your nation will become a NPC nation.

Grammar and spelling must be readable. If you make any mistakes, you're allowed to edit the post, where you made the mistakes. But you must tell me that you have edited the post.

Nation Sheets must be posted in the Of Steam and Ambition - The Library of Nations in the Character Sheets forum and I will review them here.

The Declarations of War are final, and cannot be taken back, which means that you must make a peace treaty in order to end the war.

The typical RP rules are here and must be followed. Which means no godmodding, power playing, meta-gaming, etc. And If you break them, I'll make such that you're sent back to Roleplaying 101.

The goal of this is to create a fun and good story, not to take over the whole world. Just have fun with your friends and make good stories.

The technology level is late 1800s and that means, if you have nuclear warheads in your army. I'll be very upset and rip you in half.

The Geography Version of the Map

Hello, all! Welcome to the reboot of the Steampunk Nation Roleplay that is "Of Steam and Ambition". This Nation Roleplay aims to be character-driven, events that will change up the game for good or bad, NPC nations that have character and don't feel so 'lame', and many other things that makes a good Steampunk NRP. I'll have a plot, rules, nation sheet, and other things that are needed in a Nation RP, once I get enough people interested in this. Until there, here it is, a way to get back in the Steampunk boat.

What other officers? Wilson was alone. Lifting a gun doesn't take a lot of effort, and if you were going to die, I think you could find the strength. If you hadn't told me you were 14, I would be made extremely angry. But, your naivete is therefore understandable. Just imagine explaining to a six year old that Daddy isn't coming home because he wasn't allowed to shoot a bad guy.

First off, I'm sixteen not fourteen, get that fact right. Second, I don't have any naivete in my and I know it's difficult for a six year old to be told that father is dead because he didn't shoot the bad guy. He will remember that his father was a cop and saved many other lives.

"Haha! Silly American, your police are killing civilians needlessly!"

"The American government is killing too many of its own citizens!"

I hope you see the point Im getting at here.

Yes, I'm. And even known that other countries have done this before, it's still funny and classic.
I have started to hate the 1x1 section, due to it's pornography shit. The mods should control the issue before it losses out of control and we get another shut down of the guild. And the fact that they don't read the fucking rules section. That shit pisses me the fuck off -.-

Not to mention, shooting the hip is a fantastic way to sever the femoral artery or hit the aorta, both of which would be shortly fatal.

I believe that you just googled on effects shooting the hip or have books based on the human body.

Officer Wilson had a broken eye socket. Meaning, his eye was fixed and unable to focus. Why do you think his aim was so horrendous? He had double vision as a result of a fixed eye. Even if by some miracle he hit Michael in the leg, Michael could still beat him in a fistfight. He's dizzy, seeing double, and has precious feet before this giant man is on him. If he doesn't act, he's . Have you ever been in mortal danger?

Well, If Wilson had a broken eye socket and was beaten, shouldn't he be tired and not be able to move due to the eye. And what about the other officers? Could they just hit him with batons and shit? Wait, we still talking about America, right?

I refuse to force police officers, some of whom have wives and children, to risk their lives to save a suicidal loon trying to kill them.

Well, the officers know the risks of going to work each day and If I was a officer (and I would never be), I would not kill the bad guys. Ever.

Zendric said
If I was in one of those officer's situations, I would shoot until the person was on the ground. Pretty reasonable.

The guy wanted to die by cops and certainly got what he wanted. In America using lethal force to only harm or injure is a great way to get sent to jail. There have been successful prosecutions in the past that use the case "If you felt you were in enough danger to justify lethal force to defend yourself why did you just shoot them in the leg/arm?"

Funny indeed.

1) Well, but shooting the leg or the hip, that person would be on the ground and crying for him mother.
2) It's sad that if you only use force to injure person rather than kill them (which I don't ever want to do). But after all, we are talking about America here.
3) Come on, it's funny that other countries are talking the truth issues in America. Even Russia and Iraq, talked some sense to them.

Here we are on that "Chute 2 Wund!" kick again.

They waited until he was a few feet away and warned him of the consequences earlier. A leg shot is a harder shot to make and if they miss, they risk a ricochet along the ground, which is extremely dangerous. A center of mass shot would more likely hit and if it missed, travel in a predictable line to a wall. As for the number of times, probably multiple officers shot him.

Well, I understand that a leg shot would be easy to miss, but what about the hip? It isn't that hard to miss unless that officer sucks at shooting a gun and it would being down the person for such. I mean, why don't they just of talked to him and then another officer for the behind jumps on him and arrests him. And, are you the person, that takes classes on how to shoot a gun and the changes of hitting the target or did you just Google some shit and found your answer there?
I'm ready to play this game and hide for the other fishes...

For those who have not heard there has been another shooting in the St. Louis area with a man shot and killed by cops. For those who do not wish to watch, the video depicts Kajieme Powell, a 25 year old man who had just performed a robbery with the apparent intent of drawing police to his location and had his friend tape the encounter. When the police arrived they exited with guns draw at which point Powell drew a knife and walked towards them exclaiming "Shoot me." The cops told him to get back repeatedly, however, he did not comply and after closing to within a few feet both cops began firing with approximately ten shots being in rapid succession at close range killing Powell.

I understand that he had a knife and was walking towards them, but you don't need to shot at him ten times. I think that one or two shots in the leg would get him back to reality, but shoot him ten times, that doesn't make any fucking sense. Oh wait, we are talking about American cops after all.

So Boerd said
I fully expect everyone who accused the officer, if that evidence is true, to apologize for denying the officer presumption of innocence.

I aren't going to apologize to the officer, who shot him way more times than I would. But, if you're the American citizen, that thinks that black people are crazy as fuck, then you should have a hard look at your self.
I believe that the cops shouldn't aim to kill, but aim to harm. Which means shooting in the leg not at the head at the first shot, but we are talking about America here. Also, China is using this event to talk some sense to America, which is funny and China has good points.
