Valgius shook his head. He then smirked. "Oh, I know what True Light is, young lady." Valgius said. With a shout, he tossed the flames at Sophie, though they dispersed halfway to their destination. Valgius, meanwhile, prepared himself to dodge any attacks that might come his way.

Valgius shook his head. He had his work cut out for him. "I meant light so we can see..." Valgius said, having to toss the flame back in his left hand so his right arm could rest. "Or do you not even have a simple torch amongst all the amazing technologies of this world? he asked in a teasing voice.

Valgius tossed the flame back to his right hand, resting his left now. "First off, if you could get us some light? This gets tiring after a while." Valgius said, He wasn't concerned about the amount of Focus he had, but rather how long before both of his arms tired out. "After that... whatever it is that you think I need to know." Valgius said to her, examining her while appearing as if he wasn't trying to.

Valgius shook his head. "Well, we don't even know if you can use this place's equivalent to Focus. Once we find that out, then we'll know for sure." Valgius said, He returned to the couch and sat down. "Now, I presume we still have a few hours left of light. I'd like to get to know you a bit better." Valgius said.

Valgius shook his head. "That... I'm not sure. It takes alot in order to learn to use Focus... and the price can be heavy..." Valgius said. He tossed the flame expertly to his other hand in order to allow the first arm to rest. "But... if we can find someway for you to harness the power... I suppose I could try to teach you..."

Valgius nodded. "Yes, I'm aware of the fact." Valgius said, increasing the heat output in order to stop her shivering. The way he'd said that was as if someone was asking him about the weather. "Yes, I'm aware that it's raining." Just like that. As if it were normal for a person to be a living torch and not be harmed.

Valgius nodded. "Damn him!" Valgius turned back to Sophie. "Well, whether or not you like it, you've got a companion on your quest to stop this guy. If you don't wanna go along, I'll do it myself. I owe him... and it's a personal debt." Valgius said, staring at the fire in his hand as if it had personally insulted him. Valgius shook his head. "Go back to sleep. I'll be fine. Just can't sleep now." he said, heading toward the kitchen.

Valgius, meanwhile, had just got back from examining the rest of the area. He shook his head. "Damn dream... if that was real... then this Akumu is history..." Valgius said, not realizing Sophie was awake. "Threatening me is one thing... but you don't threaten Sophie... not anymore..." Valgius continued to mutter. Not remembering how the light switch worked, Valgius conjured flames in his hand, and then saw Sophie awake. "You okay?" he asked, eyes still surveying the area.

The Plague called Mankind.

Unless that one happens to knock someone's brains out with a club.

Valgius, too, saw a huge crystal fountain. He examined it. "Hmmm... interesting..." However, the water stopped flowing. Several Tentaceles came out and lunged at Valgius, who dodged. It seemed his Focus was still locked in this dream, so all he could do was flee. However, ahead was a dark figure. All Valgius could make out were yellow glowing eyes and pointed white teeth.

"Well, well... you're the 'Masked Minion', eh? Pathetic. I, Akumu, will kill you and the girl before long!" the figure said. Valgius then woke up, rapidly getting to his feet and drawing the sword. However, he saw no danger, though his body was shaking, though his muscles were tense.
