Kalamadea said If any of them tried to pull the sword from the ground, they'd quickly find out what that something was; the sword would not budge no matter how hard they tugged at it, at which point Link would say, "The sword has to choose you in order for you to be able to wield it."

If you tried to take it, it wouldn't budge.

Kalamadea said If they thought better of trying to take the sword, Link would pull it back out and say nothing before heading towards the village to the east.

If you didn't, Link would continue.

Link is the Hero chosen by the Goddesses, and the Master Sword recognized him as the Hero of Time. It woudln't just up and change its mind, no matter how much knowledge you might have of the games. I've played all of them too, and it's been stated several times that only the Hero chosen by the Master Sword can wield it.

In Ocarina, Link was stated as being worthy, since he pulled the Sword out of the Pedestal of Time. HOwever, he was too young to be the Hero, and thus was sealed away for seven years. Since we're in the future portion of the game, then he's been chosen by the Master Sword, and is now ready to assume his role as the Hero of Time.

And besides, y'all were gonna just go try to take on Ganondorf, which can't be done anyway. You need to rescue the Sages and use their power, which is something only the chosen Hero of Time can do.

Once at the handholds, Rawk didn't even other trying to climb. He just focused on himself and Link after dispelling the Knights. Rawk then used his telekinesis and lifted them up to the top. Rawk turned to Samus. "I guess I won't ask if you need help. Didn't know you had Hypermode. I'll just assume you have nearly all of the upgrades." Rawk said. Link, however, was inspecting a spot on the wall. "Hang on a moment, guys." Link said. Rawk turned around and saw Link pull out a bomb. "Might be useful to have." Rawk muttered. BOOOM! Link entered the hole in the wall, emerging a couple of minutes later, putting away some of his bottles.

"There. If we're ever seriously harmed, these Fairies will do the trick." Link said. Rawk nodded as he started to walk toward the crater. "Unless the world changed it, there's no bridge from here to the Fire Temple entrance. That means flying, gliding, or whatever there." Rawk said, entering the volcano. He immediately threw up a telekinetic shield, which protected him from the heat. Link changed into the Goron Tunic, doing it so quickly, that it appeared to be instantaneous. Link followed Rawk, looking around the crater.

Link stared at the falling rocks before them. One last obstacle. Just as he was about to run through the rockfall, he froze. "Oh, no..." he muttered. Rawk turned to him. "What's up?" he asked. Link turned to face him and Samus. "My ancestor, the Hero of Time, is awakened. He just talked with the group in Castle Town. I just now got the changed memories. I dunno if this'll create a paradox or not..." Link said. Rawk nodded. "Seems like time is of the essence." he said, summoning a third Pawn. He then promoted all three to Knights. Rawk hopped onto the horse of one of the Knights. "I dunno if you two have a way to outspeed these rocks, but feel free to use one of my knights. Their horses are swift, and they are guided by a telepathic link to me." Rawk said. Link hopped onto another of the Knights' horses. Whether or not Samus took the ride, Rawk didn't wait to see. At Rawk's mental command, the Knights urged their horses into a gallop, heading into the rockfall. Rawk made sure to look up, so the Knights would be able to see where the rocks were coming from. Gotta love shared fields of view Rawk thought to no one in particular, unaware that his thoughts were likely broadcast to Link and Samus. Link, however, payed him no mind.
