I'm feeling really happy and pumped. Oh, and joyful. Haha.
Bio
Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.
1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.
2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.
3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.
4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?
5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.
6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.
7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.
Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.
8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.
Perhaps we need to add extra rules. Or, moreso, limits. No one likes limits in RPs, but they need limits. Get rid of the limits, and you've got fan-fiction crossover levels of bad.
I've personally never GM'd or Co-GM'd when it's happened, but I have seen it happen before. It was an RP that died pretty quickly, and it's likely because people had so many characters that next to nothing got done. Too many characters = extra time for meet ups/greetings, and that also means it could take up to a month before the plot moved even a bit. That's why arenas benefit the most from lots of characters, because the only plot is to kill each other, or work with each other to kill something.
Is unraveller, like, done with the RP? He already killed off his own character. That only really goes to show that the sound cannon is also OP if it could kill literally the strongest guy with a single kick.
I suppose that I was so overwhelmed by the amount that flew at me in so little time then. Please forgive me. I'm absolutely terrible as a Co-GM. My badge is officially hung up, I'm not meant for this job.
I shouldn't read apps while being preoccupied with food.
I have been denied my rights as a Co-GM! Where's the Co-GM Union? There must be a law against this!
Yeah, yeah, I understand. Where's the love that goes into character creation these days? *sarcasm*
Alright, Flemeth is accepted. (Why did Tek have to take a break the moment tons of CS's flew all around the place.)
By the way, I don't know if I want so many battle trained people in the RP. It can make things, well, boring. If everyone's really good at fighting, then that means the monsters have to be that much tougher. That means anyone normal is dead within an instant, because the difficulty had to be so heightened.
It's boring without added difficulty because we have a bunch of weird people running around with huge guns, swords, trained to fight and survive. But it's also too hard if the balance has to be shifted in favor of giving the weapon users and battle trained a challenge.
I will officially have to get back to you with your characters, and consult Tek about them. Though that's mostly because the bios don't really tell me who they are, they really just tell me the gimmick of the character. Which means I'm not really basing my acception off of whether I like the character or not, it's based on if I like the gimmick or not.
If you could perhaps put more backstory into the why, I'd be more than glad to accept. Why did Toby join the military? Tell me why Tyson loves animals with a little story. Tell me how flemeth got to be that way.
Without those crucial bits, I'm basing this entirely off of the gimmick that the character imposes, which I hate. Characters must feel like people, or they're just plot device cardboard cut-outs that have no reason other than to be "the goth kid" or "the military brat."
Ah, didn't notice the third one was The One's character. I'm willing to accept that, if, like I said, the why is somewhat explained. You can leave it open-ended, but why is a big part that makes characters. Also, if she's purely here to be a chaotic evil character to add more of a balance within the group, insanity is a really boring reason, so as long as she has a reason, we're good to go.
So long as Kurano doesn't become a casualty only 1 scene into the RP. (Mostly because I need him for Minami's arc.) Otherwise, I'd have to scrap quite a bit and start from square one. Which could take a week or two.
