What if the school doesn't even provide dormitories since it's so elite? Maybe instead they give the poor kids a pension (separate from tuition) to be able to at least afford a studio apartment. Maybe a specific apartment building near campus. Either that or the dorms are just really crappy. That would force the poor kids to come up with other living arrangements. If there's a way they can all contact each other, maybe even an on-campus support group to hook them up, it would make sense for them to find a house somewhere.

Then they could throw their own parties, it could potentially make them more popular with the otherwise elevated rich kids.

OR

We could go with the simple solution which is to stick with the original idea.

Anyway, if anyone who can't afford to live off-campus would be interested figuring out living in a house, let me know, it would be fun to try

assuming my characters are accepted that is

Could work really well if it was a big enough house. Although for something that big there could be a dissent on the cost of rent, since the students who make less money wouldn't be able to pay as much as the students who make/have more.

I think we'd have more diversity if the characters chose their own roommates, and it would also create conflict since rich kids would live with each other or on their own, while the poor kids would all be closer to each other. I don't know, something to think about I guess. What does everyone else think?

All of the guys so far are poor... and there's four of them. 0_0 Just for your information...

@WhiteStar19
I just saw that. Just getting online and figuring things out, at the moment.

Well, Rich and Poor are big generalizations. There's a difference between middle-class poor and my-family-was-homeless-at-one-point poor just like there's a difference between American-dream rich and I-have-my-own-yaht rich. Leo and Julio aren't struggling, but they lack the privileges that many of the "rich kids" probably have.

Also I just had a thought about the dormitories, since my characters are coming all the way from Canada, I assume housing would be available to people who don't live near campus or who live out of state. I know you said only the poor kids would be living in dorms, and while the rich kids can probably afford their own housing off-campus they may not all want to. Another suggestion would be a group (could be a mix of rich and poor) getting together to rent a house. That could be something we could talk about, or I'd be interested in orchestrating if anyone else wants in. It's way cheaper than an apartment so a lot of the poor kids might like that, since living off-campus seems to be almost a status symbol.

I have no idea what a relations chart is...can I have an example :L

It's just like a list that shows the current relationships between the characters. Like who's friends with who, basically.

I'm all for it. Working on my CS now.
@Strawberry425 I PM'd you my CS. Lemme know if it's good or if I missed anything.
Well, you learn something new every day.

Including lies, from a christian school that thinks that Bible stories apparently spun to put Judeo-Christian societies in the best possible light.

A serious study of Jewish history and the Bible will reveal that the Hebrews were actually the most stubborn, pig-headed, stiff-necked, difficult people ever.

That's not to say any society is better or worse, they're all pretty much equally flawed, just in different areas.

You're right. Long and complex theological arguments should be done either in the late morning or early afternoon, preferably over coffee and donuts.
Y'all need to see an eye doctor.

Or go to sleep at a decent hour.
