So if the appendicitis doesn't kill me, the nurse probably will.

Wee poor birb. I had a similar experience with a hummingbird a number of years ago. He was stunned for a while but I got to hold (and fawn over) him while he recovered. He sat right in my hand for a while. He was so pretty. :3

Yeah he was really cute and sat still on the ground and let me pet him. Birbs are cool, I wouldn't mind having one for a pet. But I'd want something cool like a raven.

What I wouldn't give to be a tiny, injured bird grasped tightly in Rax's feminine hands.

He ran into my kitchen window this morning, fell down and got stuck between the side of the house and the hose reel. You'll be happy to know he's doing just fine now, and after a few minutes flew away without a problem.
