SETTING : post apocalyptic usa
PLOT : in 2025 a nuclear war breaks out, exterminating most of the united states. What is not wiped off the map is subject to a biological agent, created by the same organisation that destroyed most of the U.S . the agent causes the human body to exhibit signs that are akin to canine rabies, while adding a few different symptoms such as deadening of the nerves to prevent pain and loss of cognitive ability. there are strange stories of hideous beings that are emerging from the smoldering radioactive holes that where once great cities. it is unknown why Boston remained unscathed by nuclear fire but where it was unharmed in the short term it is sure to suffer in the long. with the influx of refugees and the collapsed infrastructure. there is opportunity in these lands, between the large amount of people and the viral threat presented. the scared masses will be looking for a leader who can provide what is currently unavailable in the world. while all of this is going on there are wispers of a strange fortresses being built to the north and that they are built by the ones who are responsible for what we now face. Canada as well as mexico have shut their borders and are killing anyone or anything that attempts to cross with no discretion. in order to survive you must face indescribable horrors from the abyss of former cities as well as other people looking to claim the new world for them self's.

January 1st 2026: its a cold day, colder then its been in a while. there are a lot of refugees gathered in the tent city at the center of town, i wish i could help but i ran out of spare food a long time ago. its hard enough to keep my self fed, let alone a couple thousand others. things are starting to get out of hand and the national guard has a skeleton crew running the camp.

when you start you may start as a
a local= someone who has been in the area their whole life and has no knowledge of the horrors outside but is well versed in the local area and its population. downside to this is that you where not ready for something to happen and have nothing in abundance besides household implements (I.E knifes,clothing cooking supplies ect.)
a refugee= someone who has no knowledge of the area but has fought hard and know what they face. they have a bug out bag as well as what ever weapon they had readily available when they evacuated
both sides have their ups and downs but depending on your cunning and ingenuity you can easily bridge the gap between the two

choosing your own back story is encouraged and will determine your skill set but i will not allow something ridiculous (i.e cyborg, super solder, werewolf ect)
also depending on your skills there will be disabilitys and other things that will keep you from being over powered (i.e. heart problems, bad knees, breathing problems ect)
