Name: Krios Cerus

Age: 26

Race: Murridane, a race native to the barren landscape of planet Muroid. Many centuries ago, their home were the expansive underground caverns beneath the planet’s surface, however, after a war went awry, many of their cities collapsed, while Muroid was covered in a series of deadly dust storms that could strip its victim of flesh in mere minutes. The majority of its habitants fled into space, and thus began the nomadic lifestyle that they kept until now. During their wander, the Murridane had mingled with many alien races, including humans, trading their technology and other talents in exchange for accommodations and supplies. Despite most planets were fairly acceptant of them now, the majority of the Murridanes remained on their ships.

Typical Murridane resembles a tall, gangly human for the most part, often stands at 6’ to 6’5’’. Their eyes have no pupil, usually of various colors, but the most common is red. Oddly, Murridanes are red-blind, so their eyes appeared black to them. They have pretty good vision in low light environment to adapt to a life spent underground. Predictably, their vision get worse when it’s bright. Also, they have pointed ears and absurdly sharp shark-like teeth, which shed continually. Despite this, they aren’t very combat-oriented, having the arm strength of a young woman, so to cope with the harsh environment of Muroid and deal with things above them on the food chain, Murridanes have developed leg muscles, enabling them to run and jump better, complete with a tail to keep balance. When fatally wounded, Murridanes automatically enter a death-like state, while their bodies accelerate the healing process to bring them out of the critical state. However, it doesn't work with wounds that kill them instantly.

Appearance: At first glance, Krios often has the looks of some college guy who stayed up late for one too many assignments: tired, mildly bored, completely with dark circles under his eyes and a pale complexion. His hair is gray, with black and white strands mix in. He almost never bothers to touch the comb, usually just leave his hair as it is. Among his peers, he is considered tall, standing at 6’2’’, but with an unfortunate tendency to slouch. Despite his height, Krios is hardly qualified as intimidating, instead leaning more on the athletic side. He also has a tail like all other Murridanes, which is much like a lion’s.

Position: Engineer

Personality: An individualist first and last, Xanar’s actions almost always have some ulterior motives behind them. He appears friendly and harmless enough, rarely resorts to violence unless it is absolutely necessary. However, when Krios has to fight, he fights dirty, often with the intent of taking down his opponents as fast as possible, and if he thinks he is outmatched, his intent will turn into get the fuck out of there as fast as possible. Despite the selfish attitude, he is capable of some loyalty, but only once his trust has been earned.

Biography: There isn’t much to tell about Krios’s life prior of his time on Earth. He was born and raised on one of the many Murridane’s spaceships. As he grew up, he learnt most of his skills from his father, a local mechanics, and eventually, expected to fill the old man’s shoes. However, the monotonous life on the ship bored him, and exactly two days after he had been assigned to his new position, Krios stole an escape pod and left, but not before taking with him some expensive machineries as well. The money he made from selling them lasted for a while, then Krios began taking up jobs on different ships, just so he could satisfy his wanderlust. Life was looking up for him, at least until his past began to catch up to him. Krios carried on with his travels, hoping to put it behind him for good, and before he knew it, he ended up on Earth, broke and unemployed. Then, he found work at Doctor Eckhart Nosek's shady delivery company. The work conditions and current employer were less from ideal, but he managed, so far. It was either there, or back at his home ship waiting in a cell for The Trial.

Miscellaneous: Krios suffered from severe insomnia. He also has a pair of shades with him, despite the fact that natural light is merely a mild annoyance to his eyes.

Doctor Eckhart Nosek [Owner and General Doctorate Holder]: Krios doesn't actually mind Eckhart's obsession toward money-related matter, mostly because even with enough money, there isn’t much he can do for their ancient rig. Besides, the good doctor only asks for the ship to be relatively ship-shaped and operational, so that’s exactly what he’d get.

Jane Pepper [Pilot/Navigator/And Sex Appeal?]: She is easy on the eyes, sure, but it still isn’t worth putting up with the whole ‘I don’t trust you with shit’ attitude. He is the best at what he does (he’d like to think so), and thinks she’s just too busy sticking that shape-shifting head up her ass to realize that. Most of the time, he tries to stay out of her hair, but at night, when he knows she is ‘sleeping’, Krios often repair the ventilation system with a hammer, which just happens to be directly above the blank room.

Krios Cerus [Engineer]: Meh.

Carnus Uvenk [IdiotDelivery Boy]: Krios sometimes comes over to smoke weed with Carnus. However, he’d rather avoid drinking, because Murridanes’ tolerance for alcohol of any kind is legendary weak. Besides, watching the guy got drunk out of his brain is much more amusing. Also, Krios spent much of his time trying to convince Carnus that Jane is playing hard to get, just so the guy will continue to hit on her.

Glyxisarius Sel'thice [Mostly Harmless Doctor]: Krios likes Glyx just fine, but he does try to avoid the medical bay as much as possible. Acid tentacles. Not fun.

Johanne Bry [Caribbean/Cajun Swamp Queen A.K.A The Cook]: As far as Krios knows, Johanne cooks, and that’s pretty much sums up what he knows about her. Naturally, since he doesn’t eat that often, but when he does, he likes his food raw, so he just wazlts into the kitchen at an ungodly hour and takes random food items down to the maintenance deck.

Hay the Horse [A Horse and the Techie]: Krios isn’t sure how to feel about this certain individual. However, one of his many projects at the moment is to build a camera bug to find out how Hay types with hoofs. Now that’s amusing.

Harriet [Mute Janitor]: Krios thinks she is nice enough, except when he can’t find his jar of teeth. As long as she doesn’t go down to the maintenance deck and tries to clean everything (and believe it he tried), he’s okay with having her around.

Arthur [The Turtle Whose Name I Can't Pronounce Or Spell Correctly... Uh... the Pilot]: Krios doesn’t talk to this guy much, mostly because he can’t remember his name. However, he certainly enjoys working with him much more than with Jane.

Clarisse Eve Jenkins [The Other Pilot\Cannon Fodder]: She’s nice enough, and relatively normal, compares to the rest of the team, so Krios likes her enough. He often shows up every time she makes one of those hot chocolate things though, because seriously it’s too delicious to pass up.

Garrett stands at 6’2’’, toned without being overly muscled. He has brown eyes and dark hair, with a bit of scruff covering his jawlines.

Homeland: Amsterdam
History: Back in his youth, Garrett lived with his aunt in a small pub she owned. Ever since he was in high school, he had shown an interest in sports, martial arts in particular. It was just for escorting inebriated customers out at first, and occasionally some scuffles with other kids at school, but eventually, fighting had basically become a sort of hobby to him. However, he rarely kept up with any sport for more than a few months, often just picked them up on a whim, then left as soon as his interest fizzled out. After entering college because of his aunt’s plead, Garrett moved out and began living on his own. With the money he got from various part-time jobs, he started the frequent pubs to seek out violence, despite having an extremely low tolerance for many types of alcohol.

Eventually, due to his legendary procrastination and short attention span, Garrett was expelled from college. It didn’t really bother him much at all, but the crows chose that exact moment to appear. He questioned his mental health as first, even went as far as considering therapy. Because crows couldn’t talk, they just bloody couldn’t. However, it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t intrigued at the same time. So after some careful considerations, he packed his things, grabbed the bag of coins, then headed for the Runes and Things, searching for answers, and hoping it wasn’t therapy.
