Ellie chuckled at the two girls as she leaned back into the armchair. "I must agree, Evelyn is very cute. Although, I could say that for the both of you!" She state simply with a warm smile. "I guess I'll say my part~ I like cooking, helping others aaand... I like going out for walks at night. I really like the moonlight~ Oh and I also like reading" She said, tacking on the last part suddenly, her expression unchanged. "What I really dislike.. Hmm.. Lazy people.." She smirked at Amelia as she continued, "Cowards and criminals!" And with that she finished her listings. She had more things to add to those lists, but she couldn't be bothered saying them, they can be put into general things anyway. It was pretty common for giantfolk to hate cowards, since their race was one that thrived on combat and had a really headstrong outlook on things, which is why many cowardly folk are left in the dust by them, hence The Sisters of Bulwark.

"Amelia's right, you'll be with us until fate decides otherwise, but I'm sure fate can't stop me from being there for you~" She stated, giving Evelyn a rather cheeky smirk. It was best to have fun while they could. Ellie felt that their time together had only just begun and things might get a little more difficult from now on.

Alya smiled and nodded in response to Trix's invitation to her shop. But she decided to stay in the forest for a little while longer as Trix left. She and Echo watched at their new friends were obstructed by the trees. Alya liked making new friends, she hadn't had the chance to do so due to her somewhat sheltered life in the Surly Stump. But now things were changing, for the better. Not only did she make another friend, but also one who knew magic like she did. Although it was different from hers, she was happy to know that there were other people like her.

As the setting sun's rays filtered through the forest canopy, Alya's blissful music softly echoed throughout. Perhaps she would meet more people through her music? Perhaps more 'Mages' like her. Who knows.
Before moving out the Stone Crest, Alya had met up with her..'companion' or 'mentor', whichever was meant to be his title, but as of right now, he was just a drunken mess. Lyle Spikebush, as reliable as ever, stumbled out of the tavern to convene with his contracted, mute companion. Much to his dismay, but he was the one who arranged this meeting in the first place. Alya greeted her mentor with a nervous smile, she wasn't really sure what he was going to say, but she hoped it was something good? "I've heard tha-at you 'aven't been outside 'a Green Fall since that blasted tournament.. Some travelling bard you are!" He spat out the moment he saw her. Alya winced and looked at the ground in embarrassment. He was shrewd even when drunk. "Come with me.. We're goin' to Frig..Whatever.. with some ebon-guys and some Moon Fey woman. I got business up there." He said in a calmer tone, much to Alya's surprise. A Moon Fey? Rilana! She smiled at Lyle and nodded excitedly, Echo was equally as excited, since he also realized who would be there. Khona. To Alya, Rilana was a very beautiful and kind woman. Seeing her friend again would be great.

The group of knights and other civilians had gathered, counting up to 9, including Alya and Lyle. She was wrapped in a fur cloak in order to keep warm, provided by Lyle from the 'kindness of his heart' as he put it. He also forced a pair of fur boots onto Alya's feet to prevent her usually bare feet from frostbite.

As they merge with the group, Alya spots Rilana, and promptly walks over to her to greet her, giving a brief bow and a warm smile. Echo followed up with an excited YIP! as they both greeted the Moon Fey. The presence of Lord Svarak and the other Ebonknights didn't concern her in the slightest, however, Lyle was a little on edge, taking deep gulps of his flask, which one would guess is filled with alcohol.

I was about to go insane. Half rations on top of janitorial duties was a pain the in ass and I wanted to strangle whoever the fuck that drunkard was. Or blow him up. Didn't matter if he was on Rebirth or not, I'll kill 'em. That is, of course, after I've had a nice strong drink to calm the nerves or blow them out, whichever came first. Of course I wasn't going to turn into a drunken fuck nugget like whatshisname. "Tony's Bar." I muttered, shrugging before walking in. I walked up to the bar, promptly placing myself on the stool in front of the tender. "Whatever strong stuff you got. Hit me." I said, sighing as the barkeep walked off to get my drink. The piano was good though. At least the kept in time with the my imaginary metronome. Or was that a bomb? Nope. I'm just stressed out.
An Oath, he says. Like a blood oath? Probably. But that sounds ridiculous. She thought. She had heard of blood oaths, but those are usually really religious, aren't they? Maybe not. She almost decided to put her hand in the mystery man's, but he suddenly hopped out of the shadows with a grin on his face. His grin made her grin back unintentionally, her face reddening slightly in embarrassment.

"Magical healing huh? I've heard of that, but it sounded more like a flimsy rumor, but I suppose I can trust you a little more than the gossip that floats around eh~?" She responded in a flirtatious tone. It was true that she trusted him that little bit more due to his friendly attitude, but she was still pretty unsure about it, but she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. "And you have no idea how fun the tournament was." Megumi added with a slight eye-roll. That bloody Screamer really did me in. Of course it was no surprise that this guy would know of where the injuries are coming from, especially since there were probably tons of knights bragging or whining about their fights.

She raised an eyebrow at him when he requested her hand again and drew a knife. "Alright then.. You better not take me to some weird cult, okay? If you do, you'll have a lot of explaining to do~" She responded in kind. The last part of her sentence being slightly more playful. This was a serious business, but it does no harm to make light jokes at the start right? Maybe.
As Trix spoke to her, Alya remembered the events of earlier, when Trix had 'placed' the shields on her pups ears. She was surprised that the shields were so versatile, and she started to wonder what kind of shapes you could make them into. However, Alya's magic was completely different from the blonde's, which was fine in her opinion, since it was kind of like meeting a new person.. Kind of. She was brought back to reality when Trix asked her questions about her magic. She quickly wrote on her parchment, pausing every so often to think, before handing it to Trix for the umpteenth time today.

"As far as I can tell, it uses my desires to make people or animals do things that I want them to. Something like a mind control? It's not as bad as it sounds. Most people tend to not notice anything and I would never make people do anything harmful. It doesn't seem to work unless I use my music, so I guess it just 'is' my music.. And so far, only you know."
The sun had only just risen and Megumi was on her way out of a shopkeeper's house. The night before she had gotten quite friendly with the trader, and he had assumed that they were to sleep together that night. However, the sly half-feline had different plans. As they shared a glass of wine in a 'romantically' candle lit room, she had spiked his goblet with a strong sedative. She neatly tucked him into bed, giving him a peck on the forehead before she overturned the entire house, snatching everything of value. This was one of her more daring heists compared to her usual pickpocket acts, and it had gone considerably well. So well that she was confident enough to sleep in the man's bed until morning and then leave him with nothing other than a roof over his head.

It wasn't until early morning, after she had stashed away her profits in her well hidden chest, she was walking through the relatively empty streets of Scream Watch. This place was pretty depressing, and she had almost forgotten why she was even there. She felt a presence behind her. Watching. Waiting. She stopped and looked behind herself, only to see nothing. She continued to walk, but more slowly this time. Acting as though she didn't notice anything.

A sense of blood lust from a dark alleyway caught her attention. Her ears twitched as she heard very hushed foot steps moving about in the darkness. Suddenly a slight flash of light. She swiveled sideways as a dagger lodged itself into the cobblestone near her feet. A distraction. The unsheathing of metal was simultaneous on both Megumi's and the alleyway's side as a cloaked figure flew out of the darkness. Megumi had only just managed to lift her dagger to try deflect a blow, but she was immediately disarmed, her blade clattering loudly on the stone street. She froze in place as a blade's tip was mere centimeters away from her neck. The cloaked figure chuckled.

"Very good.." He said simply as he sheathed his dagger. "Megumi Tsukiyama.. Would you like to put your talents to something more...fruitful?" He added slowly in a deep voice.

Perhaps he knew what she had done, or what she had done before, but that didn't matter right now, small details don't matter. "What do you have in mind?" She inquired with a slight grin. She had calmed down significantly since the man has sheathed his weapon.

The man grinned at Megumi's response, "We, or should I say, the knight's 've got a little.. Expedition.. going to a city named New Vircastoria. However it requires going through Screamer territory." He said in a hushed tone, briefly pausing before continuing. "Still interested?"

Megumi grinned back at the cloaked man. "Of course." She responded in a similarly hushed tone. An adventure? Of course she was going to go for that. This place was getting a little too dreary for her to handle, and she was eager to get moving. Especially if she was going to make a lot of profit out of it. She had already dealt with Screamers before, they were nothing to 'scream' and shout about.

"That's good to hear. The group gathers at twelfth stretch, at the gates." He said, turning away. Before Megumi could even respond, the man had disappeared into the darkness of the alleyway.

As the day rolled on, the twelfth stretch had come. Megumi didn't have a lot to pack. Just a sleeping bag, a leather skin of water and, of course, her weaponry. She wasn't really equipped with a lot of camping gear, since she spent most of her time under a roof at night. As she arrived at the gate, her eyes immediately locked on the giant beetle and then moved up slightly at the man who sat on it. This'll be interesting. She thought. There was a human next to the beetle, with a horse. A knight. But it wasn't a normal knight. His clothing and the way he moved, even ever so slightly, to greet her. A stealthy one indeed. "And another one joins us. We'll be moving out soon." to which Megumi smiled, "I'll be in your care." She responded, with a slight curtsy with her non-existent skirt as if to mock formality.
Err I'll do a post when I get time to. Which is after work tonight. Can't promise anything though.
Ellie chuckled and nodded at the two women. "Well luckily, I know just the place. Assuming it hasn't change since I last saw it.. Which was quite some time ago." A 'secret' place for her to read her books to escape a few duties of being a Squire. Of course it was all in the name of fun rather than actually trying to get out of chores. "That's a good point. We should get to know each other if we're going to stick together~" She agreed with a slight tinge of joy, before running her finger along the row of books. It was a relatively thin book compared to the ones next to it, but it was sizable nonetheless. After plucking the slightly dusty looking book from the shelf, she led her two companions into a smaller room, one furnished conveniently with a couch and two arm chairs, set so that they all face into the middle of the room. Both armchairs had a side table with a oil lamp on each. The window let in the afternoon light, filling the room with a warm glow.

She sat down in one of the armchairs before handing the book to Evelyn. "Since this is about your goddess, I think you should be the one to read about her. Also about knowing more about each other.. I'm not sure where I should begin. Maybe start with what we like and dislike?" The last part was accompanied by a shrug and a slight grin.
