It was about time that she made it back to Kerawac, she'd traveled for at least a week or so from Ruby Banks almost non-stop in order to get back to her Tribe. She couldn't leave them alone for too long or else they'd start to get fidgety like a bunch of little children whose toys were taken away. She sighed audibly in irritation as she strode toward the exit of Scream Watch. There had been so many knights that had stopped her as she was passing through, only to be turned away by her appropriate documentation. She had diplomatic immunity and she loved it. But all this attention was giving her a headache.

"Maybe I should've changed my clothes.." She muttered, as the civilians started to give her strange looks. Murmurs spreading through.

A small boy broke from the crowd of on-lookers, running in front of her. "Hey you! Aren't you one of those meanies?!" He shouted, pointing his finger at her. It was shaking slightly. Zenovia giggled, "Of course I am!" She responded with amusement as she crouched down to the boy's level, giving him a pat on the head and a smile. "And you're very brave for calling me out~ You'd make a good knight." She added with a slight chuckle. She disliked Ebonknights very much, but she could respect bravery and courage no matter what their background was.

A woman rushed from the forming crowd, pulling the child away from the Anuirean. "Get away from my son, you beast!" She yelled, moving away from the Screamer fearfully. Zenovia wordlessly stood up, giving the woman an intense glare. The woman flinched, expecting Zenovia to start attacking everyone, but that was not the case. The red head had already begun walking away in disgust.
While her current predicament was quite.. worrying, she noticed that most, if not all the knights in the mess hall were asleep. Save for the one that was talking and the one that was stirring. Thankfully the room was darkened by the midnight, allowing her to weave between the tables and knights without being very noticeable, and since the knights who were awake were too drunk to even see straight. Her job was made that much easier. But that didn't stop her heart from pounding hard in her chest.

However her progress was slow as she moved toward the left doorway. Her side sent sharp pains through her body as she moved. Thankfully she was able to keep silent and unseen despite all her cringing. She had noticed the tiny droplets on the doorway earlier, but she didn't know what it was and she was curious. Curiosity killed the cat, as they say.. But not today. She thought, amusing herself with one her mother's favourite sayings.

She was confident that the Knight who was speaking was unable to see her as she flitted from shadow to shadow, avoiding the moonlight and the odd candle light. She stopped short of the candle light near the door, remaining in the shadows. Blood. The floor next to the door had droplets of blood on it. Her curiosity told her to go through the door, but her instincts told her not to go any further. However getting across this mess hall to the other door was going to be a hassle. She backed away from the door into more shadows before scanning the room for a safe path to the other door.

The sudden bolting motion of the beetle caused Megumi to hold herself against the strange man tighter so that she didn't suddenly fly off the mount. She was surprised at how quiet the giant beetle was as it trekked the terrain, she would've assumed that it'd make more noise due to it's size. You learn something new everyday. They rode in silence for awhile, which comforted the half-katzheer more than it would anyone else who was just acquainted with someone.

"I'm a thief by trade. I'm just going where life leads me." She replied after a brief lull in conversation. She was finding it hard to understand what Raffey was saying, his accent was so.. strange and thick, but she somehow managed to translate it into proper words. A monster hunter..Hmm. She didn't actually know that much about monsters, other than the two-headed monstrosity that she saw at the festival. It sounded like a tough life, she figured that she was better suited for hunting wealth and treasures.

She was busy trying to decipher what he was trying to say when they suddenly came to a stop. She looked over Raffey's shoulder, only to see a herd of massive quadrupeds burst from the treeline. Like Raffey, the colours seemed more interesting to her than the safety of her companions. They were huge. As huge as the beetle mount. She watched as they charged out of the trees. They looked.. scared?

She watched as the Aaenshi and his wolf made a way through the herd with relative ease. The same couldn't be said for the knight that was crushed under the weight of more than a dozen hulking beasts. She cringed and looked away slightly, but kept looking from the corner of her eye. Poor guy. He probably just wanted to get paid. She sympathized with the now deceased pile of mince. She felt herself agreeing with her companion. Her mother said similar things when she came across 'less fortunate' people.
"Oh? You're making mulled wine? That's wonderful~ I'd love to have the first cup." She replied with a smile before continuing, "I'm Zenovia and I'm from Kerawac. It's nice to meet you." She wasn't much for pleasantries, but she might as well go with it. Don't want to cause too much trouble. "Or rather, from 'The Valley of the Screamers' as you ebonfolk like to call it." She added, giving Trix a slight smirk as if to say 'What are you going to do about it?'

Zenovia quietly crouched down to give the two pups a pat and played a little with them using her staff, jingling the rings around to catch their attention and curiosity. She glanced back at the blonde when she heard another voice, a male one. An ebonknight. She wasn't concerned about whether or not the knight knew if she was a Kvaren or not, she had the appropriate documentation to say that she was allowed in here as a citizen.

She stood back up as Trix spoke to her, "I'm just here to enjoy the festivities~" She replied, stretching her arms a little. "Your kingdom is strange. Allowing the enemy in just because they have the right documents. And you can't accuse me of anything either." She commented with a mocking tone as she looked out at the festival area. She was well versed in Ebonfort law, as she needed to be if she was to stay in this place without getting executed.
"A dead wom-" She began, only to be cut off by a snapping noise and the sudden flight of a knife that was level with her throat, she jerked away slightly instinctively, but she realized that she would have indeed been a dead woman, had the knife been aimed straight at her. She glanced at the knife that was now lodged into the wall and then moved her gaze back to the man. She didn't feel any anger toward him. Everything he was saying was right. She would be as useful as a corpse if she didn't do things the right way. She needed to focus more and take this whole situation more seriously than her usual line of work.

Prove myself.. Where had she heard this before? Ah.. The Charr. She nodded wordlessly as the man finished talking.

She followed after him, staying close. She moved on the outer edge of the steps, just about laying her feet into the imaginary footprint that the man left behind. As her mother had taught her, the way of silent movement was to walk from heel to toe in a rolling motion and to keep the pressure on the outer edges to leave no trail behind. She noticed the way he opened the door, pushing the door upward slightly to prevent the hinges from squeaking.. As she followed him out, she closed the door, keeping the same kind of upward pressure to ensure the door closed silently behind them.

Megumi stayed close behind the man, who watched the door guards like a hawk who was ready to swoop. And swoop he did. As the female dwarf guard left her post, the orc had become lax, turning away. The movement of her companion was quick, moving in and going through the door with relative ease. She followed suit, keeping her steps light and her noise unheard, she darted across and entered through the same door as silently as she had observed, shutting it quietly behind her.

She was faced with three doorways.. The left was illuminated by candle light, obviously a bad choice. Moonlight flooded through the windows of the room ahead, however it retained most of it's dark shadows. The right was in total darkness. She knew that she could see almost clearly in the darkness, but not in a place that dark. She opted to go straight, into the room with moonlight. She kept her footsteps silent as she darted into the closest shadow. She looked around the large room, expecting to see someone or something. A trap maybe. There was nothing discernible. She didn't know where the man had gone, and she hadn't been given any further instructions. So she waited in the silently among the shadows. I bet he ditched me. The rat bastard.
I'm interested~!
Normally Alya ignored most of what Lyle had to say, since all he ever did was drink and get drunk. By what Rilana had told everyone, they were meant to remain silent and aware, however the drunkard was anything but. She glanced over at Lyle as he spoke to himself, she wished that she could tell him off, but she had neither the voice nor the desire to go against the Moon Fey's instruction. Echo let out a low growl at the hunter as though he was taking his mother's place in telling people off. Alya gave the wolf pup a head rub to calm him down, since she didn't want to make too much noise.

However, things suddenly turned for the worse as Lyle's flask clanked on a tree after he threw it away. She felt a chill go down her spine as she saw a tree turn into something..terrible. She was scared, she just stared at the monstrosity, her eyes flicking around only to see a few more appear. Echo's growling resumed as he tried to intimidate the toothy trees to keep them away from Alya. However the tree's weren't phased by it and focused their attention on Lyle.

A treant? Alya thought as Svarak spoke. She hadn't actually noticed his presence until now, only to see a giant cat in magnificent looking armor and sword. Alya remembered stories that her parents used to tell her when she was younger, about how the treants would come out at night and steal naughty children who stayed in the forest for too long. It was an old Green Fall tale, but she never thought that they'd be real.

She watched helplessly as Lyle challenged the treants, it didn't look like he was going to survive for very long, but Alya had known Lyle for awhile now. If he was sober, he'd probably would have less of a chance against such monsters. He looks like he's having fun... she sighed, she was worried about nothing.

She thought about the paths that Svarak spoke of. She thought that she'd prefer to go into the mountains so they could be away from the trees, but the decision wasn't up to her. She looked over at Rilana, only to see a white..bird? Raven. Holding something.. blue and icy. It looked colder than the snow.
I would, but I don't know what I'd even write other than Abbie getting smashed and then playing with electronics/explosives whilst drunk... Sounds like a good idea actually.
