Mega Wire knew Overboost's type, he seen them before. Thinks he is some kind of big shot, just because he has all this raw power and survived several groups being wiped out, the only difference between him and the rest of them was he was foolish enough to listen to some shyster promising the moons and stars and became some kind of freak. He didn't really want to hear whatever the complaint was but he found it was best to feign interest to keep them happy and fighting. "I will not stop but I will listen, we have a long way to go before we exit these caves you can talk on the way. At our current rate of speed you have exactly 30.35 cycles (cycle = one minute) before we exit."

Every day it was a different exit and a different entrance, he liked it, kept things interesting and it kept the Cons from staking out a regular place, they would have to stake out over a hundred different cave entrances. What he liked the most was sealing all possible points of egress within thirty cycles.

Yog Sothoth said your comment about Coulson tells me that you don't read comics
Not a single one that I pay for. Even someone buys them and gives them to me I will read them. Haven't gotten one since I was like 6.

Yog Sothoth said if you're going to judge something without ever reading it, then it makes criticizing characters pointless because then your basis will lack knowledge.
I criticize what I know which is the cartoons and movies where death is permanent or doesn't happen at all. There was one movie that was based on Superman dying and coming back fighting his clone, that is the only one I didn't watch.

Yog Sothoth said also i don't get your point of calling Superman blunt, if you're saying he's not smart or not complex then you really need to read more about the character before making statements about calling him a neanderthal.
That is exactly how he is is the cartoons and movies. A big dumb brute who fights like he is a blunt object that throws his brains out the window the minute it is time to fight.

Yog Sothoth said just so you know, tons of Marvel characters have been brought back to life after death, it is done in many fictional stories and not just comics.
Which is why I don't buy Marvel either or anything else that cheapens death. I loved the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show, they killed Buffy, that was the last time I watched the show, I refuse to watch a single minute of any episode that takes place after Buffy's death.

*Slow nod* Revan, I'm wondering why you want to be part of an RP based on a comic book universe. You don't seem to like them very much at all.
I like the cartoon and movie versions. Where death is permanent or doesn't happen.

Any and all characters I play are based on cartoon or movie versions not the comic versions.

Yog Sothoth said you must really dislike DBZ as well right?
Never seen one second of it, wouldn't know anything about someone dying and coming back to life. Don't know a single character on the show. I don't dislike it, I don't like it, I don't have any feelings at all about it.
The Kid Lantern said If you can't accept characters returning from the dead then comics isn't the medium for you.
Which is why I don't have anything to do with them.

The Kid Lantern said The only comics characters don't return in is the Ultimate Marvel universe. They've written themselves into a corner now that most of the X-Men, Avengers, etc. are dead....
Ultimate is just a retarded version of the original that should be cancelled with all Ultimate characters dying.

The Kid Lantern said The new52 introduced a Superman that isn't as perfect a hero as he once was.
He never was perfect, a perfect version would have stopped every criminal permanently during their first crime before anyone died.

The Kid Lantern said a rookie Shazam got the best of him
So he went from being a big dumb brute to being a big dumber brute beat by a child. That is just hilarious.

The Kid Lantern said , etc.... Without trying to find the exact issues and scenes check out the new animated Justice League War.
Seen it. God Hal sucked in it. Vic Stone was a brat, loved his father though even though he was a dick to his son.

The Kid Lantern said Don't watch it around kids though
I would chop my arm off to keep away from kids on my personal time. I have to see and hear them enough at work to last a life time.

The Kid Lantern said I made the mistake and within minutes civilians were saying Wonder Woman dressed like a whore and the only time a man felt powerful was when he cross dressed as WW LMAO
I love that guy, my favorite scene in any movie ever.

Lucian said Hah. "Everything I've seen about Superman is him being a dumb brute, but I will never read graphic novels, so I'll never know how stupid that sounds.
If you are willing to give me the graphic novels for free then I will gladly read them, but as long as the comic book industry supports lying about death they will not get one penny from me.

Lucian said "Superman has lobotomized people with his heat vision. How's that for a scalpel?
I have seen an intelligent Superman do that from an Earth where all or virtually all Super villains were lobotomized by Superman and the Justice League took over the planet. Now he was a Superman I could love.
Yog Sothoth said
the highest selling comic in history was the one where Superman died fighting Doomsday.
That is the exact reason why I don't read comics, if Superman was dead he would still be dead. Death is permanent, if it is not permanent it ain't death. I will not support anything that doesn't support permanent death. There is only one exception I will ever make, Phil Coulson from the MCU.

Yog Sothoth said Magic is just as powerful as any superpower, just read Justice League Dark or any of DC's great supernatural comic series and you'll see why magic is very popular in the DC universe.
Not going to happen, see above

Yog Sothoth said if you think Superman is a dull
I don't think he is dull, I think he is a modern day neanderthal. If he is intelligent enough to create robots that are capable of nearly perfectly mimicking him while he is away. Then he is intelligent enough to not be a blunt object when a scalpel is needed, and everything I seen he is the bluntest object ever created.

you don't like Zatanna or John Constantine?
I like Zatanna's outfit sometimes. As a person I only know her from the cartoons and she seemed alright. Magic imo is lame, and most of the time in fiction like comic books is way to overpowered. Heroes are not supposed to be overpowered, they must overcome not just breeze past it like it was some school boy. Why should I root for someone who can blow a thousand men away with a few words?

Which is also why I find Superman to be extremely disgusting.

I wanted the relationship between Zatanna and Fate to be a little rocky. Zatanna doesn't necessarily want it for herself, but she thinks someone other than some young kid deserves it more.
I like rocky (or completely dysfunctional or so bad it does more harm than good) mentorships, depending on how it is portrayed. (Most recent ones I liked are from the Arrow tv series, how Arrow tried to mentor the Huntress or the relationship between Slade and Oliver on the island before Shado came along)

riurik said In my incarnation, the helm isn't known to possess people.
It would be awesome to see Nabu take over (temporarily?) and how your character deals with it after regaining control or what he does while possessed to break free even if his attempts are all in vain.

Think of it like how some Green Lanterns thought that Hal, Guy, etc, didn't deserve a ring.[/quote]Most human lanterns are worthy imo.

Guy I can agree with because of his anger management and rage addiction problems that he still hasn't overcome. I wouldn't want him watching my back. In his core he is nothing more than a Red Lantern. If he is around you best run for your life.

Hal at first is way to immature to be a hero of any sort much less one that is supposed to function as some kind of intergalactic cop. I'd rather risk dying waiting for a different hero than let early Hal showboat.

Know next to nothing about Kyle except his girlfriends have a tendency to end up dead and he is a White Lantern now. Also isn't he some kind of artist?

John Stewart is military, I would trust him with my life against a supervillian even if all he had was his fists.

riurik said Also, are you saying that you want my character to be younger..?
Don't know why you would think that. Your character could be a 1000 years old, it makes no difference to me. I was commenting on the fact that the list of characters and their ages Kid posted showed my character is the oldest person on the team the next oldest person is 20. I thought is was neat so I commented.
Poor Canary.
Favorite GL: John Stewart.

I know it's technically on a different Earth, it just bugs me how some characters are so drastically changed for tv and movies. Kent Nelson was always the Fate I'll remember and it was lame he was off'ed in Young Justice to make the helm more like a curse....~KL~
I never cared for the Magic based heroes, but Magic based villians who beat up Superman are awesome.

Mistress Dizzy said *can't stop laughing* Wow. Why don't they like him?
Same reason people don't like Red Lanterns on the Justice League. Or people don't like people with Intermittent Explosive Disorder combined with an Anger Management problem.
This is over.
The Kid Lantern said
It never took control of somebody's body in the comics, and it sure as hell didn't attach itself to Zatara for any length of time. I mean if whomever was under the helmet couldn't just let Nabu instruct them how to do stuff they'd let him take control momentarily. But it never lasted long...~KL~

In the Young Justice TV Show Zatara was so afraid for his daughter when the Helm of Nabu chose her that he practically forced the Helm of Nabu on to his own head to save her from it. Dr. Fate is treated as a totally different person from the host body as evidence when the Justice League had to vote whether or not to let Dr. Fate be a member of the team when Zatara was already a member.
