Pokémon: Shadow of the Past

This world we live in is a beautiful, we live alongside friends we call Pokémon. And even though some of the population wants to use these creatures as weapons to rule the world, the majority of the population has dedicated their life to becoming friends with them and traveling around the world to become a better person by finding every single Pokémon. Each year new Pokémon trainers start their journey into this big world and it seems every second a new type of Pokémon is discovered.

Even though we live in a peaceful world, it was not this way. We were once using Pokémon as weapons to wage war against one another before we realized that we were making Pokémon an endangered race. Soon the warring stopped and we once again lived in peace, but that never lasted because an alien race called the GX appeared. These new type of creatures where massive, taller than the tallest building. They sought to destroy our world, but alongside our friends the Pokémon and humans fought back and together took back their home. Peace was once again stored in the world.

It seems now the peace has been broken because now the world has suddenly changed. Pokémon have woken up to a world without humans. All they can remember is a strange falling star in the sky that hit near Black Core Mountain, the highest mountain in the world. The Pokémon now must decide to travel to the mountain to find their trainers or live in a world without humans. However, will they find the answers their looking for, or something much worse than they anticipated.

Background:
Charmeleon grew up in the Charicific Valley with his mother and brother who, when he was born had already evolved from a Charmander to a Charmeleon. He would always follow his older brother even if it meant getting hurt. When his brother finally evolved onto a Charizard he wanted to follow in his footsteps of every day he trained and every night he wait for his brother to come home and tell of his adventures outside the valley. When he finally evolved it meant toe world to him and he waited for his brother to come home, but he never did. He soon learned why. His brother had been banished from the valley for attacking humans on a nearby boat. When he learned of this he ran away from home and whenever a trainer tried to catch him he did all he could to keep from being caught. He found his brother along his travels, but it wasn’t a happy reunion.

He didn't know how fast it was but when he opened his eyes he saw a lone Charmeleon standing in front of him. most of the Sevipers where gone while some lay on the ground dead. the Charmeleon turned to him and smiled. from then on he traveled with the Charmeleon. he felt the Charmeleon was his only friend in the world. after seeing his mother killed, Cubone couldn't speak or rather chose not to.

For as long as our history books have recorded, our world has been in a constant state of war. We build machines to kill each other. Every decade a newer type of weapon is created and used to eradicate. It seemed we were on the path of complete annihilation. We would be the cause of our own extinction. That all changed when an Astronomist discovered an asteroid on a collision course with our world. The asteroid was said to be half the size of our planet and in three years’ time would collided with the world, completely destroying it. It seemed all the fighting, all the destruction stopped and in its place was peace as all the worlds powers came together to find a way to destroy the asteroid. The world’s greatest minds came together and began to manufacture a device to save their world. In two years’ time they had created the Rift Gun. A massive cannon that would create a rift in space and time to accelerate shell to astronomical speeds to completely destroy the asteroid. The shell the Rift Gun shot was a tank sized bullet that held enough atomic energy for eight nuclear strikes.

As the asteroid drew closer, the nations of the world who had come together to form the World Government watched with baited breath as the Rift Gun was prepped and ready to fire. However, it seemed the asteroid had suddenly picked up speed as though it was being controlled by an unknown power. With no time to waste the World Government fired the Rift Gun. The shell exploded out of the Rift Gun and suddenly was consumed in a massive rift vortex that disappeared. The Rift Gun however, fell apart as a result of firing. If this didn’t work, there was no second round.

The World Government watched the monitors of each satellite in space as they watched the asteroid get closer to their world. a rift appeared in space and the bullet rocketed towards the asteroid and in one fell motion the bullet collided with the asteroid causing a massive explosion that took out the camera feed from the satellites. The room was silent as they waited for the feed to return. One lonely satellite wasn’t destroyed in the explosion and as it turned on the room filled with cheers as they watched small chunks of the asteroid float in space.

This, however, was not the end of our troubles. A month after the asteroid was destroyed. A creature covered in what looked like shadows appeared in the sky. Its voice boomed as it exclaimed, “Your world has set in motion its total annihilation. Our asteroid was meant to eradicate the vermin and trash of our galaxy. We did not wish to see your species suffer. However, you destroyed your only chance at a peaceful end. Therefore, we will now seek an alternate solution. In ten of your years we will send down our ultimate weapon to eradicate you and whip the pollution that is harming out galaxy. Cherish your time with one another, for when the Phantoms arrive. There will be only suffer and annihilation.”

Our world had survived one threat, only to gain another. However, what these creatures we now call The Executioners didn’t anticipate was the radiation of both the bullet and the asteroid combined into a violet cloud that engulfed our world. As the cloud settled into our planet, we started to admit strange abilities. Some were able to manipulate the weather; others could control fire, water, and even the earth beneath our feet. Others showed unique abilities like controlling machines and manifesting weapons out of thin air.

The world government was dumbfounded by all the unique abilities many people showed. In the end they saw this as an opportunity. They instructed an academy to be built to house and train anyone with unique abilities so when The Executioners sent their Phantoms to destroy us, we would have a fighting chance. It took three years to build the academy which was called Chrono. With seven years to train their army. Our future was bright, however, we still where unsure what these Phantoms would do. We had only one hope, those of us who enrolled into the academy. Our future rested on their shoulders. The world Government gave these unique individuals the title, “Angelics”

Champions of Aurora

Our world has not always been in a state of warfare. It was once a peaceful place for all four races to live in peace and harmony. For the last thousand years the races of Aurora lived with one another using each other’s strengths to improve their life styles. Trade routes flourished with wagons filled with goods and for a time Aurora was paradise. This was parsley due to the empire who ruled over all the races. He was a gashes ruler who held open court to help solve problems between the races and to come up with a solution that would benefit both parties. When one empire passed away, his heir took the thrown. However, the last empire was unable to produce any children and when she passed. Aurora was left without a ruler. All the races began to argue about who should be the next ruler and soon war broke out to see what race would take the thrown. The war revenged the land and destroyed the once peaceful feeling that blanketed Aurora. For ten years the war continued to rage before a lone mage sent a message to all the races. In his message he described champions from each race would rise and one day chose which leader would rule over Aurora. He would travel across Aurora to hand pick the four champions and take them to a hidden place where they couldn’t be corrupted and allowed to choose who they felt was a better leader without corruption. The mage soon gathered four children and one guardian from each race to help the children to understand the weight they carried and to protect them from those who wish to kill them. The mage's prophecy might have depicted the four champions, but it never could have predicted the threats, turmoil’s, and challenges the children would face to choose a new ruler. In the end the four will travel across Aurora to see what the war has done to the world, what corruption fills the world, and find out a tragic outcome as a result of the war. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Races: Eves: Elves are honed into the planet and can absorb the planets Mana to conger up magical spells that are able to manipulate the elements and also call fourth monstrosities known as elementals. Elves are experienced in hand to hand combat and are at their deadliest when using long ranged weapons. They are able to see creature’s pressure points in their body and deliver a barrage of strikes that disables any opponent Neko: Neko’s are humanoid creatures that also have animal like qualities. Many historical scrolls call the neko’s as humans who have embraced their inner animal. Nekos can speak to animals and also transform into an animal that represents their own tribe. Example: Wolf neko can change into a wolf, Alligator Neko can change into an alligator, etc. they are skilled assassins and move through the shadows to strike. A neko can hid in plain sight thanks to their abilities and also distract enemies with their animal allies. Mechanics: Mechanics are, by far the most intelligent of all the races. They are able to create many weapons and devices using various irons and ores found in Aurora. Mechanics also are able to resurrect giant mechanical creatures known as titans that lay dormant in the many temples hidden in Aurora. Humans: Humans are a wild card in Aurora. Many historical scrolls state the humans descended from the heavens with the great angels and where given celestial powers. Many of the races seem to disregard this fact since many humans only use weapons and tricks to survive. Many accounts of humans using celestial powers have been word of mouth and no real documentation has arisen to back it up. Humanity seems to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. She’ll jump into danger without thinking and put her own life at risk to save the children she calls her family. Viper learned at a young age that she was very different from the other Lizard Nekos. He built his first weapon at the age of four under the guardian’s supervision. The weapon nearly destroyed the whole secret temple and the guardians needed to control his urge to build weapons. They were amazed that Max was able to manipulate magnetism. Certain ores and iron where like paper to him as he let them fly through the air like air ships. Sword Art Online: Rebirth

On November 6th, 2022 the MMO RPG style of gaming changed with the creation of Sword Art Online. However, this change went from highly successful to an utter nightmare. The players of SAO could no longer log out of the game and soon found out that when they died in the game, they died in real life. Those whose families tried to remove the nerve gear from the players found that even that caused players to lose their lives. After two years inside the game, players where finally freed of their prison in the virtual world and returned to the real world. After SAO and its travesty, a new MMO RPG appeared on the market: Alfhein Online. Many players and their families where concerned that this new game would trap players in the game like SAO, however after beta testers announced that all likeness of SAO in the new game was not present and players could log out of the game, their concerns subsided

Soon after the game started it seemed that this new game had taken all the concerns that people had about SAO and made sure all players were able to not only log out but when they died in game, they came back into reality. However, it seemed the creator of this game had taken those 300 players of SAO that hadn’t woken up and performed illegal experiments on their minds to put them under his control. The creator, Nobuyuki Sugō soon was put on trial and convicted of not only preforming illegal test but attempted murder of a teenager. It seemed that MMO’s where now on the decline to becoming extinct in the gaming world.

For fifteen years the gaming community saw MMO’s fade from existence. That was until in 2040 at the annual GameCore convention, a newly created gaming company called Darkheart Studios who had created two successful games in the past now announced that they would pick up the Nerve Gear equipment and create a new MMORPG. Many people thought that this new company was committing suicide since the last two MMO’s not only failed, but where the direct down fall of the MMO gaming community.

After their announcement, the company announced a new feature in the Nerve Gears system where people in the real world can manually eject a player from the game should anything go wrong. This eject function wouldn’t harm the player and immediately log them out of the game with no harm to their brain functions. The only after effects of this ejection button is players experiencing blurry vision for a few minutes after the ejection.

Soon, the company showed off footage of the game and soon the MMO community that was turned away from the MMO style of games because of SAO and ALO. Where now intrigued by this new MMO and how every safety feature had been put in place to keep players safe from any problems in the game. After three years of the company working on the safety features and game play. The Story to this new MMO was finally released in the hit gaming magazine Game Informer:

Welcome to the world of spitfire, a futuristic MMO that takes place in a mysterious place where cities are in domes because the entire planet is covered in wasteland and geysers that spew out fire. The planet is crawling with monsters that hunt the humans who live on this planet. Under the sands are ruins showing an ancient race of creatures called the Dragon Born. This race seemed to be able to use mana to control the elements in the world. Along with these ruins, there are mana crystals that house the ability to control the elements and ancient machines called titans that may have had a role in their demise. In one ruin in particular housed a prophecy about how the Dragon Born where looking for the all-powerful element: Cosmos. It is said that the Titans where formed to help locate this element. Many people who heard this theorized that the Titans, instead of looking for the element, where used to eliminate any who stood in their way until the Dragon Born turned on each other. Many people soon, followed in the Dragon Born’s footsteps and learned the way to collect mana and us elements without the help of mana crystals. Will you be able to find the legendary element or will you parish like the Dragon Born.

With the description of the new game and a story that intrigued many gamers, Darkheart Studios CCO announced that any player, Group, or Guild who obtain the element Cosmos will be rewarded with all access passes to the next GameCore Convection, the ability to get the next MMO game for free and their character or characters being placed in the next game as heroic icons. This, in turn caused a major uproar as many people went out to by this new MMORPG to get the grand prize. In an interview with the CCO of Darkheart Studios, he stated, “I want players to come back to the MMO style of games. I want to make everyone, even no gamers feel safe in virtual gams again.” Now the race is on to calm the grand prize and pull MMO games out of the darkness and into the light.

Classes:

Weapon Master: This class can master any and all weapons in Spitfire such as: swords, maces, bow and arrow, fire arms, scythes, etc. however, should they choose a weapon with a mana crystal in it. They may only master that one weapon.

Trickster: This Class can create illusions to help fight while also creating illusions to flee from battles or to pick pocket other players for items.

Mage: A low class of magic user, this class can command the mana around them from the planet and living creatures to use the four elements at their disposal (Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water). This class may choose one element to master while losing the ability to use any other element.

Wizard: Like the Mage, only a high class of magic user. This class is able to use all four elements plus the secondary elements (sound, ice, lightning, gravity, void, light, darkness, and chaos). This class may choose one basic element to master plus one secondary element to master. They lose all ability to use any other elements.

Warlock: Like the Mage and wizard, only this class is the highest magic user of its class. The warlock can master all four basic elements and use all the secondary elements. They also can summon elementals to fight alongside them in battle. This class many choose two secondary elements to master while losing the ability to use all other secondary elements.

Paladin: This class is well balanced in both attack strength thanks to it ability to master only maces, Axes, and halberds. As well as their defense thanks to their ability to master shields and stacking defense skills. This class also has the ability known as “Heal of the many” which allows this class to heal not only them, but any party member around them if they are in a group or guild.

Mechanic: This class is able to awaken mechanical creatures scattered around the planet known as Titans. Each Titan is classified as small (size of a seven foot tall person), Medium (size of a monster truck), and Large (size of a two story building). For each classification, a mechanic can awaken certain numbers. They can awaken five small Titans, three medium Titans, and one large Titan. A mechanic can only awaken one type of Titan at a time.

Inventor: This class is known for its ability to create weapons and items in game for players to use outside of the cities. They can create with organic materials and/or nonorganic materials to create in game weapons or to create all knew weapons and add them to the inventory list of the game. This class can only master weapons they have created.

Trainer: This class is able to control the various monsters outside the cities to help fight alongside them. A trainer, no matter what the level they are can only train two monsters and some monsters are unable to be tamed.

Crystal Summoner: This class can take empty mana crystals to capture monsters to be later summoned in battle to fight alongside them. A summoner can only carry a maximum of ten crystals at a time. When a crystal is used to summon, after battle the creature is destroyed and the crystal is empty again. World to the wise, some monsters cannot be captured in mana crystals.

Rouge: This class out of all the other classes has the most powerful ability. This class can detect and locate monsters weak spots, what their weakness is and what element they are weakness against. They can scan any monster or player to see their states but most importantly: This class can detect where ruins are to find mana crystal and dungeons to find treasures. This class also has the ability to locate and disarm traps.

While his mother comes from a family of snake shifters, the big cat comes down from his father's side, and the Sutherlands are no strangers to making use of their massive physical strength; they are blacksmiths, and from the time Pigeon could walk he was doing what he could to help his father in the forge. Even as a child he could lift twice his weight with ease, and so even though he worked at making swords and other weapons, he didn't carry one himself, much proffering hand to hand. It should be said that he has never been much of a fighter however, and has had to learn to use the gift of great strength carefully so he doesn't hurt others accidentally. Appearance: Fair skinned and relatively short with a boyish face and a cheeky smile. He has messy sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes, and generally seems quite unassuming and harmless to the average person, despite his strength. For the most part, he is everything his appearance would suggest he is, but his true nature is starting to catch up with him. Distracting from his fairly normal looks are the numerous bandages on his fingers, which hide a secret nervous habit of chewing on his nails; he can be a surprisingly anxious person.

Veil of Eight

Our world of spitfire was not always so prosperous; in fact it was once covered in a veil of darkness. The dark princess Lady Hydra held the world in the palm of her hand and filled it with her minions of darkness: The Phantoms. These hooded creatures held tremendous powers and seemed immortal to the weapons of all five races: Humans, Pig Latins (Pig like creatures that stand on their back two legs with large tusks and have metal gauntlet that are fused into their front hooves), Angelics (Winged humanoids), Skinwalkers (Half human half animal that are able to transform into a single animal), and Aquarians (Fish like humanoids).

It seemed all was lost until eight sorcerers appeared to challenge Lady Hydra. These eight sorcerers used an ancient magic called Rune. The strange magic seemed to terrify The Phantoms and when struck by one of their spells. The Phantoms disintegrated into ashes and soon Lady Hydra felt the sorcerers creep closer to her door step. Lady hydra in a last ditch effort released a wicked magic to suck the souls of everyone on the planet. The sorcerers where unaffected because of their magic but many of the races suffered tremendous loses. The sorcerers knew that they had to end her tyranny once and for all.

The eight created barriers to protect the races from the evil mist she had created. In doing so the sorcerers started to feel the effects of the mist. The eight summoned one massive amount of their energy and cast one last spell. The planet shock as the massive continent split into five massive continents: Lunar crescent, Chrono, Crystarial, Sentinel, and The Forbidden Plain. In doing so the eight sealed away Lady Hydra from the world in The Forbidden Plain. They created a barrier around The Forbidden Plain to keep anyone with vindictive agendas from awakening Lady Hydra. In the memory of the eight sorcerers, each continent was given two cities representing each sorcerer. Lunar crescent: City of Gears, City of Dust. Chrono: City of Stone, City of Gold. Crystarial: City of Frost, City of Crystal. Sentinel: City of Flames, City of Chrome.

Because of each continent being separated by the last spell of the sorcerers, the races where divided. The Skinwalkers lived in Crystarial and lived in the large Crystal forest of the land. The Angelics lived on Lunar Crescent, creating what is now helping all the races keep in contact with one another and prompt trade: The Air Ship. Pig Latins live on Chrono and use the mountain of black flames as the source for making diamonds, gold, coal and other resources the world uses. Humans live on Sentinel and try to maintain peace with all the races. The Aquarians continued to live under the sea and continue to stay out of the affairs of the surface dwellers.

Even though peace has covered our world, evil still seems to be lingering in the shadows. Many have claimed to have seen dark figures gilding low to the ground and each one seems to be heading towards the same area: The Forbidden Plain. Each race now gathers their greatest fighters to undertake the task of gaining information about the dark figures and why they all seem to be drawn to The Forbidden Plain. However, what they will find on their travel will change our world as we know it.

Bio: When Rex was born, he was said to never amount to anything because he was the runt of his family. He was picked on and put down by both the children and adults in his village. His father didn’t see anything special in him however his mother saw something in him no one else saw. When he turned 18 he tried out for the queen’s army. He soon realized that even though he wasn’t stronger or bigger than any of the other solders but he found that he was faster. His agility made him an ample part of the army. With his quickness and stealth he became the best spy the queen’s army had. When the dark figures where seen, he heard of a meeting of all the greatest warriors each race had and quickly asked to be part of that meeting. He knew his speed and stealth would come in handy for this mission.

I'll just say I agree with Wayward, everything seems fine for the most part, Rex. I'm on the fence about you having Aero so early on, but since you're a light apprentice and Wayward doesn't have a problem with it, that's fine. I will ask you to please spoiler your pictures though, because they are very large and obtrusive.
