Soooooooo... Rhymer, did you mean you would hijacks this thread and then you would runs the RP? K. So like what kind of setting did ya have in mind?

Don't think hijack is the right term. I simply meant that there seemed to be so much interest it would be a shame to let it die. Anyways I don't think this is an RP that really needs a GM. We could all agree on some basic concepts and just go with it. I don't have any ideas for a setting at the moment. Does anyone else?
Anyone still interested? Even if Cam is not around I would like to give this a shot.

Anyone still here?

Waiting for more interest..Doesn't seem to be materializing. Thanks for adding to your signature though!
I'm interested. This reminds me of a game I played on another forum set in a 'weird fiction' type universe filled with ancient horrors and cthulu like gods. The players were professors or soldiers or whatever that slowly uncovered the unfathomable scope of the universe and time..play was mostly letters, but some wrote diary entries and news flashes-I think we had radio transmission dialogue too but I can't remember. Anyways, I'm certainly interested.

...reconstruct the kill switch remote Obsidian previously used to control the Operatives. (Each injection of Quartz had a microchip kill switch that could stop an Operative's heart at the push of a button...

Good game. I'm interested with a few questions :)

-How many Operatives are left? Are they organized with a clear leader? What are the extent of their powers? Can I rip objects and people through space and time or am I just really good at shooting stuff? Thanks !
-added Important Figures
-added Factions

~almost done with the city map...
~thinking about dropping the engineer class, their skill set isn't that specialized and constructing machines would probably be better suited to an NPC faction anyways..

{Just so you know, on the class stat sheet, you gave 11 total stat points to the noble class and 9 to all the other classes. For the sake of balance, I suggest you nerf one of the noble's stats. }

Technically so do knights as they receive a +2 power bonus when they are occupying a war machine. (which I completely forgot about). As for the nobles, I figured they would be the least popular class, so I wanted them to have an edge. I will probably be revising the stats before we start. Thanks for the heads up!

Name: Sir William of Dahken Class: KnightStats: Assets(5) Power( 3) Production(1) Influence(3) Charm(2 )Class Notes: Sir William's war machine is a mech that is like no other, it is simply called The Judge, The Judge stands tall, taller than most other Mechs has a pure white coat of paint that is chipped and scorched. The head of the mech is like that of a medieval knight and the eyes glow green when being operated. It's armaments include a large two handed sword, missile pods in the shoulders, and automatics in the wrist that are made to deal with soft targets as well as counter any other mechs. Character Description: Not much is know about Sir William's past within knighthood, but he raised to prominence, only a few years ago quickly establishing himself as knight of valor and honor. Sir William believes in honor and valor more than anything else and if one has none of those traits they aren't even worthy of being called a human being. He was brought for into the ruling council to represent a small group of knights who call themselves the Knights of the Round. The council quickly realized that he was little gung ho and he often believes the simplest thing is the answer.

Very nice Enalais, glad to have you on board. Count on spending at least one asset each year, for Mech maintenance. The knights of the round sound interesting, although the name is a bit too cliche for the world of Dark Star-consider attaching Sir William to the Priesthood of Tallus, a faction I mentioned in an earlier post. I would like to know how he rose to prominence among the knighthood. Pillar Dakhen participated in a small scale war with neighboring Pillar Malka a few seasons before our story starts. The war resulted in little material gain for Dakhen and cost the knighthood dearly. Maybe Sir William proved himself in action during the war. Think about it, I still have material to post regarding the world so everyone be prepared to edit your character sheets if need be.
Should have factions and a map up by tomorrow...I would like to get a few more players interested before I start an OOC.
Glad to see this finally getting some interest :).

@rush99999: I like your character already. A codex is simply a book where your arcane knowledge is stored. The complexity and vastness of arcane power is impossible to remember so a written record is a must. It would be unwise to lose your codex, as they are tied directly to your power. Some sorcerers have constructed vaults to store these prized possessions.

It looks well-done and quite interesting, but I'm going to have to give a "maybe".

Thanks. Anything you want to know more about? I realize this is a departure from most RPs on the forum as it is a little more structured, but I wouldn't sacrifice storytelling for rules. If I gather enough interest I will post Factions like the Priesthood of Tallus, an order of Knights sworn to guard the city, and the Royal Combine, radicals hell-bent on restoring a mythological Monarchy to power (effectively killing the council you chair). Will also post a map of the city, the world, and the local orbit.
